"He who kills the Ami must take the Ami's place." You realise that, given Hazō and Keiko's existing relationship, you could end up with a yandere who is to Yuno as Hiashi was to Neji?

But if we become the Ami then that would also mean that we could make Keiko do anything due to her big sister worship and she wouldn't be able contradict us. Think of all the additional damage we could cause in the Seventh Path.

It is true what they say. With great Ami Powers come great potential for cruelty indeed.

...

Maybe it's best Ami survives for now until we can get Keiko some more character development. Still want Hazou to call Keiko Onee-san though.

Look, I'm not saying you should skip the simulationism for the next update or anything (though I totally am) but Keiko must not die before we get to do that.

To be honest, one of the best things would be for Keiko and no one else to die. Put away the pitchfork, Velorien, and remember that Ami is Ami and Orochimaru is in town.

I don't see how? Ami would probably burn the world to ashes in pursuit of her vengeance. Yeah, she has a Unknown Goal, but people who are grieving don't usually act logically. Hell, Ami doesn't feel loyalty to the Leaf or to us, so she might feel inclined to lay partial blame on us and then spend her life making ours a living hell.

Ami will do pretty much anything for Keiko, and if we won't help Orochimaru resurrect people, she sure will. :p

In your hypothetical scenario do you assume that Ami would leave Hazou and co. alone? Because I have a hard time imagining that being the case instead of her just finding a way to coerce Hazou to shift all his priorities into helping her.

I would be fine with this.

I honestly wouldn't.

It'd be just another one of those NPC interrupts that takes away the Hivemind's agency and messes with its long term plans.
Note that I consider there to be a difference between finding a way to resurrect people as an endgame goal vs one you have to do immediately at the cost of anything else 'lest Ami stabs you in the face.

Personally I don't value hivemind agency that much. It's not like we do much with it other than the occasional treason. :p

Hey man, don't knock treason. :V

Treason is how the quest started and treason is likely also how the quest will end.

Poetic in a way.

My goals are:
  • (short-term: <3 months) Start up SC FOOM. Get Shadow Clones for the rest of the clan.
  • (short-term: <3 months) Ameliorate the problem of enpersoned S-rank threats, by developing user-excluding implosion seals or otherwise.
  • (middle-term: <2 years) Solve the problem of Ami.
  • (middle-term: <2 years) Get an upper hand over the Nara. Get an associate in at least one other clan of the Five.
  • (long-term: >5 years) Get at the world's secrets, ripping it apart or uplifting it in the process, whichever is more convenient.
Interesting. Interesting indeed. I am in support of doing this thing.

(Frame Oro for Keiko's murder and gain a second compound plus a superhuman optimization engine focused on resurrection.)

Yes, that would be a terrible happenstance to discover had occurred upon returning from a mission very, very far away.

Wait, what could we have done to get into a fight we'd need the combat simulator for?

Yeah, it's not as if any of the characters have pissed off an S-class opponent who completely breaks the system's ordinary calibration...

I don't see how "Oro and Ami develop resurrection and the former conquer the world, creating abominations left and right" is a good thing? "Ami decided to help Hazou create ressurection" could be a good thing that and we could actually make it happen.

Absolutely. What could happen to Hazō that was so bad it would require simulating offscreen with a program incapable of making rules errors?

I'm going with "Rock/Cloud attacked Leaf that is without Naruto" or "Condor Summoner battle with Naruto Shadow Clones Everywhere", those seems reasonable scenario.
There is also "Condor summoner leaked the information to kill Keiko, and a bunch of Ninja are ready to ambush Keiko and her escort" as a second runner, this would explain what Conjura was waiting for on the Seventh path.

Yeah, that part with Zabuza was...Oh!You mean Jiraiy...Orochimaru!Right?Clearly Orochima....
Ah! Itachi, sorry, it's just happened so many times i lost count.

For that we need to be summoner.

Step 1:Create a Kagome's Bliss that doesn't explode instantly and isn't brought back with you on seventh path when activated
Step 2:Activate it and use Reverse Summoning to evade the explosion
Step 3:Return back to the battle and repeat as necessary
Reverse Summon and then SIN?

Dying.

I mean, really, do you want to have Hazou mucking around with things in the afterlife too? Something like common sense certainly wouldn't stop him.
