Are we really deciding who the IN children will marry before they are even born? We, the kid born from a clan head following love against the entire clan?
I feel there is some kind of irony to be found here.

We don't have exclusive (in Leaf) access to the stupid that is Hazou's Sealing shortcut?
I don't care about that. The more people who can and do safely do sealing, the better.
We lose a (Leaf-internal) monopoly on the unique things it can do. Also, a bloodline is a huge bargaining chip that's best traded for another bloodline of equivalent value. If we trade IN to the Uchiha then that diminishes future ability to exhange bloodlines with other clans.
Ehhh. Technically, yes, but then we'd still come back to doing this same thing. I'm fine with giving up exclusivity in exchange for a close alliance with the Uchiha.

People who defect from political agreements that could easily lead to war is idiotic.

Yeah, it's like people are more complicated than they appear and have those things called feeling and priorities, that makes them more that simple rationalist robots. Also, we're talking about Hana marrying Shinji, so unless she refused the Dread Emperor, Lord of Mist rival village, to marry Shinji, your reasoning is irrelevant.
....
Is this the "Shinji should get in the goddamn robot" discussion? Because i feel this is the "Shinji should get in the goddamn robot" discussion.

EDIT: also, i have no idea of what situation you're talking about and this is still irrelevant to my original point.

No it doesn't. You are just moving from one clan to another

It still could since kids moving from not-founding to founding clan. HDK

We will have 12 years to make sure that the Kids are pro Goketsu. Plus they will have to keep the secret

We'll send them to the clan of genjutsu specs. What stops them from subtly changing kids' friendliness towards us or spill all our Clan secrets? They can do almost anything as long as they are not being blunt about it.

I don't trust these Red-Eyed freaks and see no reason why we should. Our first interaction with them is their proposal of rape, slavery and us throwing bloodlines at them for 30 silvers and approximately 1/20 votes per year, where they still can abstain instead of voting as we said. What comes next?

I have a potential solution to the bloodline problem.

All Gouketsu-Sharingan and Uchiha-IN children are considered dual-clan. They spend equal time in each clan before graduation and have access to both clans' secrets (making those children extremely powerful, which is in the Uchiha's interests as well as ours). They're in both chains of command and can't share secrets, but the primary chain of command is down to the child's decision upon graduation.

Your characterization of the deal as it currently stands is extremely unfair. We don't have any reason to believe Mari is lying about the substantive issues, and she knows very well that 1) Hazo cares about these things, and 2) Hazo will take action to independently verify these things. Even if her current state is such that she doesn't care about 1, it will be much harder for her to bypass 2.

Why is extremely unfair? His point isn't that Mari is lying, but that she's saying the truth and said truth is basically his post.

We were explicitly told moving between clans is allowed. What Hazo doesn't know is if other clans would get annoyed with moving from a non-founding clan to a founding clan, and they would most likely be upset with the Uchiha.

...I've already said it, so I'll say it again: Nonsense. The Uchiha do not have the capacity to do this even if they had the willingness and will not for at least a decade, probably two.

His post directly contradicts what Mari said about the Uchiha and this deal.

Problem with this is that as far as we know there is no such legal status, so they have to formally be a member of one of the clans. Simply from a monetary perspective it makes the most sense for them to formally be members of the Uchiha, even if they are treated as members of both clans in other respects.
