Side note: Here's how we develop a Jonin aura, apparently. We make mistakes.

So, what you're saying is....

[jk ] Recite an Eulogy for all the comrades you lost in the swamp front of the entire game party.
- Name Drop Kanna and Shikigami(Goro IIRC) and all the people you and team remember.
- Swear Vengeance against everyone that killed them.
- All of them.
- Kill, by making explode the entire part of the city he is in, by liberal amount of explosive seal and more, Zabuza
-Let Operation Revengeance start.
-And of course tell nothing about this to Keiko, let it be a surprise.

...
Ok, jokes aside, i had a interesting question in mind, and considering the interlude, it seems a good time to ask it.
In case of a direct confrontation with a Jounin or, even worse, a S-Ranker, what is the general consensus on how to try to kill it aside from "Screaming in Kagome"?

Run away. Directly into the sky.

Depends on the amount of prep time we have, and the loadout.

  • Any amount of prep time + skywalkers:
    • Run.
  • No skywalkers no prep time:
    • Die.
    • Try to kill them from beyond the grave by somehow letting Jiraiya know who did it.
    • Coordinated sacrifice play to ensure at least one survivor?
  • Some prep time:
    • Pangolin death squad equipped with Youthenizer's.
    • We run.
  • High prep time:
    • high altitude strike if in a disposable area
    • Seed the whole area with prepped implosion seals just beneath the surface, using HLAM to not disturb the ground.
    • We run.

Be they freind or foe, be they evil or good,
Lupchanzen or Sage,
Ninja or Samurai or Civilian,
Neither love, nor law, nor league of swords...

Let's Do A Necromancy, a how-to guide by Gouketsu Hazou.

"Leaf officially disavows the contents of this book and all actions taken in its creation." - Gouketsu Jiraiya

"This type of madness is what happens when missing-nin are allowed to walk free." - Momochi Zabuza

"There was a reason the Kurosawa clan never accepted Hazou back in." - Kurosawa Ren

"I'm so proud of my nephew!" - Anon.

Wow, why does ren feel the need to publically disaprove of us, if she's willing to make it obvious she likes our idea?
yes I know you mean orochimaru

Luckily, there are no vampires in the Elemental Nations.
That depends on how seriously you take the words of a certain individual in a certain chapter. (Hint: it's not Kagome.)

So what countries do we want to expand our spy network into first?
Noodle. Its Hidden Village is friendly with Leaf so the risk of being ganked is less than normal, its close to Leaf so we have an easier time moving back and forth, and Jiraiya lost his spy network in Noodle (from Tanaka getting booped) so we actually gain stuff from making a spy network there instead of it just being a junior network to Jiraiya's preexisting one.

I support this but I also want to propose Rice as another possibility. We know that the capybara scroll was supposed to be sold there. As well as having some contacts with ninjas in the area

Run up into the heavens, than drop fat stacks of explosive all over the surrounding area. Proceed to vaporize the entire area mile wide, than do it three more times just in case. Then run off in the distance and never look back.

Rice is a...harder, option, due to its civilians and ninjas being very against outsiders, to the point where the ninjas are willing to burn their entire country to the ground in the event of invasion and the civilians being willing to be burned in said case. There's also the question of how valuable it would be to get spies there (since Jiraiya probably worked his butt off to get some in place), and I'm not entirely sure anyone we met in Rice would qualify as a "contact".

If you're looking for a reason to get intel on summoning scrolls, Tea might be another option. It has intel on the Capybara scroll (since that was where it was stolen from), it's close to Leaf so no issue of getting back and forth, and it's completely possible for Jiraiya's spy network there to have been damaged as well. It's a bit farther from the Western Continent so it'd probably be a bit harder to set up spies going there, and the weakened ninja presence (loss of Capybara scroll and likely summoner) may mean Tea could be under risk of invasion/occupation, but Tea would certainly be my second choice.

I mean we have good cover with the merchant empire plan. We don't want anyone actually running any ops or investigating at this point. We just want to pick up on local rumors and stuff

To be clear, the merchant empire plan refers to us using merchants as ways to get intel? Because I'm not entirely sure the Hinago Medical Facility is the sort of place merchants would commonly go to. As compared to Tea, where the town near the former Capybara Summoner's clan is definitely gonna have stuff.
