We tried but it wasn't asked/answered on screen in that one plan that was supposed to do it.

I think every plan that has my Jiraiya section or a variant of it approaches it with the intent of asking him for training.

It was in the stuff that we never got around to asking him offscreen in one of the plans. Same plan as the Mist Yakuza stuff and Hana getting the crap kicked out of her.

    • Ask Keiko what she wants: first Mari and then Hazou have upended the team's lives for their desires, it's not fair for us to have sidelined her interests for so long. She should share whatever she feels comfortable sharing.
    • Does Keiko think that an experiment in resisting killing intent with opposed feelings is worth it? If so, would she be willing to see if Hazou can resist her killing intent? Use this feeling: "Hazou and his family are trying to save the world. They are trying to protect the world, to uplift the world. Compared to everything they have faced and intend someday to face, what is the will of one person?"
  • Jiraiya (on the way to Mist)
    • Hazou knows shockingly little about the nature, origins, and limits of chakra . Ask what - if anything - is known. (Do not mention Kagome's ideas on the subject)
    • Ask what other skills - besides killing intent - exist that can quickly launch us to Jounin level (even if in a limited capacity) without a significant investment in chakra
    • Integrating Keiko and Kagome more closely into the Goketsu family is paramount - ask what Jiraiya thinks we ought to do.
  • After this, skip to the tournament

NB: If you make a plan you should put an "X" in the [] so that if anyone votes for it the vote tally program will tally your plan text as the first vote for that name.

E: ...Unless its a meme plan in which case the greek letter Chi or a "JK" will suffice :p
 
@MMKII It's not a meme plan, but it doesn't exist to be voted for. It was made to give me practice in the hope of better future plans, and to have parts copied from it if someone thinks there are worthwhile ideas in it.

I suspecting broadly asking Keiko what she wants will result in unhelpful answers because of her perception of herself as only being good for being someone else's tool. We might have more luck with a more directed question, like 'would you like to work together to find a way to resume your ties with Ami?' or something.

I doubt there's anything that can quickly be gotten to Jonin level, much less without significantly expanding chakra reserves. Otherwise everyone would do it. It might be worth asking about relatively low time investment skills that he recommends as useful.

I like the idea of asking Jiraiya about how they can better integrate Keiko and Kagome into a family unit. The answer might just be 'we'll have to keep doing pretty much what we've been doing over a long time to built trust', but there might be some specific suggestions to be gotten out of it. On the topic of Keiko, we could ask Jiraiya if maybe there was a way to fix the Ami situation to help Keiko feel happiness again. He's a well informed master of clever schemes, after all.

My fear is that asking Keiko any direct questions will be perceived as invasive, and that we should start by broaching the topic of Keiko-as-agent-with-feelings as lightly as possible.
 
We should just kill Keiko, that way we don't have to worry about what she thinks.

This is a genius idea that should have absolutely zero negative consequences whatsoever.

Of course! We can simply have Ami and Keiko marry! Why didn't I think of that?!
Though, wait no that's impossible.
Keiko already wants to marry Tenten. Darn.

Guess Noburi is still an eligible bachelor.
And he's probably the only person who wouldn't set fire to Mist-Leaf ties in the process.

I'm all in favor of Hazou dating Ami, but we haven't even met the girl yet. And we don't know the truth of what's going on between Ami and Keiko, which we need to uncover so we can fix the situation there.

Although it would be funny if Jiraiya set Hazou and Ami up on a date as a way to enable Hazou to gather information from Ami.

...in fact, yeah, that would be awesome actually. More entertaining by far than just talking to her to get information about how to be a better sibling to Keiko, even if that's much easier to arrange.

Moving on; has it occurred to anyone else that after hitting Chunin Hazou can probably make Special Jonin fairly easily with his sealing skills? I'm thinking that might be a nice goal.
 
While I am 100% in favor of trying to learn how to project an Anti-KI aura, I don't think it is something that we can get soon. Its called a Jonin aura because its really hard to get.

It's OK, we're just trying to get started now, and learn some things.

Although the phrase 'projecting an anti-KI aura' has me thinking that if we get the aura of love/reassurance/hope/conviction going, maybe we could actually use it to shield nearby allies in combat who otherwise couldn't fight off killing intent on their own.
