I didn't give any specifics WRT time constraints simply because I have no idea how long they will take. There's no point in preparing a {insert number here} day plan when we will be trying to do something we have never done before. It's the same basic idea we used when we encountered the Liberator village and Hidden Mountain: rudimentary reconnaissance first, aggregate data second, and re-plan third, only then execute, and repeat.
If I could give you a meaningful timeline I would. There's just too much that will be going on once we arrive back in Leaf to accurately plan around though:
This is just the tip of the iceberg: there will undoubtedly be numerous unknown unknowns waiting to foil our plans just like Kouta tried to do in Hidden Mountain or Arikada did when we tried to bring her back peacefully to Leaf. We simply can't account for everything that far in advance so it is best to play things by ear. Adaptability is one of Hazou's greatest strengths; not using it to its fullest potential when we are in a new situation by following a rigid plan would be foolhardy, even disastrous if we somehow get kill-boxed again.
- Who knows how much free time we will have in Leaf?
- Will Jiraiya give us free reign to work on our own projects or will we be given another mission?
- Would we even have a month inside the village or would we be sent out again on a long term mission?
- What additional duties, if any, do chunin have to do?
- Would our finances even allow us to engage in any of our projects?
- Would we even be given enough authority to direct some of Leaf's R&D facilities?
Directing a Leaf R&D facility sounds conceited. Ditto for simply giving people ideas. They are not stupid.
Eh, sounds fine to me. I think you were referencing my posts when talking about Hazou heading huge organizations, but honestly, my understanding of that idea is literally "find a few more Haru Yamamotos and give them something productive to do". Start small and see what happens. I, too, am very sceptical of far reaching "Post scarcity society 10 years from now" plans.
My immediate plan is to have a postmortem meeting with all with Leaf participants in the Chūnin exam. See what we can learn, and then use that meeting as an excuse to schedule another meeting next week.
