[x]Team Silver Mettle
-A) Keiko is a civilian-born ninjutsu user. Her almost uncanny experience with water-nature jutsu (already being able to make low-grade water clones) was not enough to excuse her arrogance. Her parents, having lived a rather poor life due to being caught in a political crossfire in the Mist, instilled in her a general dislike for some of the more noble clans. This mission was considered the best way to get rid of such an upstart but undeniably talented ninja.
--Noburi, on the other hand, is actually a genjutsu user. While not outright arrogant, there was no small amount of concern expressed at his ability to get inside the heads of others. His innate talent at psychological warfare unfortunately gave head to the boy's sadism streak. He enjoys tormenting those under his genjutsu, figuring out what makes them tick. While he is lacking in physical ability, his intelligence and ability to read others, combined with his sadism, led to him being transferred to this mission after an incident with his own team left one of his teammates in need of therapy.
-[x] Swamp (Scouting) After the team spends a day learning about eachother's abilities, they decide to spend the day fortifying their position the only way they can: learning where the dangers of the swamp are and the fastest way of getting around them. Information on how to enter or leave the swamp with impunity will be invaluable, and necessary.

Knowledge of what all these killy natural things are, and more importantly, how not to get killed by them.

I have no objection. @Velorien, @AugSphere, @Jackercracks?

Also, so far none of the staff have an objection to you giving the teammates bloodlines, subject to the same approval that yours got. There's one vote outstanding -- we'll give him a chance to veto when he wakes up, though. Chances are it's fine, though.

Alright then.

I would still like to reiterate the internal chakra control and the Ice Kekkei Genkai.

Also, the Chakra Phantom would be pretty useful for killing things and hunting.

You would have thought that if we had a chakra sensor he or she would have used the ability to keep us from being in danger from the chakra-using monstrosities.

It's still underdeveloped karin sensing. When panicking and moving through a swamp at high speeds surrounded on all sides by chakra signatures that eclipse your own, mistakes can be made.

A) On the subject of skills. I am in favor of a rounded party. What I would like to see is our combat focused ninja be Mori Keiko, with the diplomat as Wakahisa Noburi.

B) I suggest we do the mission to go into town to trade. We already have to get through the swamp to get to town and can scout what and where things to be gathered from the swamp on our way in and out to report to our group. We won't be getting as much as if we scouted the swamp in full but we will be starting to forge/scout a safe path out should one be needed, which is important. Knowing what the lay of the land look like outside the swamp which can be done by obtaining a map or tracing one with our finger in town. If we want to risk it we could ask about the swamp from the people living next to it to see how traveled it is by ninja. This could lead to more jobs or a way of bribing the villagers to not report our being here if we can make the swamp safer for them to gather resources from if we report back our findings to Shikigami-sensei.

If we want to give our teammates bloodlines we should figure out ones that have synergy with each other.

Btw, the swamp is suffused with nature chakra. What are the chances that we will find a nice hermit who will teach us the sage mode? ^^

Thought: We don't use elements and eaglejarl approved my idea for a bloodline that emits an aura that indiscriminately prevents element use.

Non elemental team using this bloodline to hard counter most techniques?

A) What are your companions' skills? Neither has medic or seal training, neither is a sensor. You do not need to do full builds for them.

Neither has medic or seal training, neither is a sensor.

This is exactly why being a medic with Ice or a Sensor nin would be useful.

Academy starting age is 6 not 8
Not in Mist it ain't.

Ice got vetoed.
I'm cool with it. You guys can call it Knowledge: Deadly Swamp (Land of Fire). It'll be pretty specific to this particular swamp, mind, because these beasties are pretty unique. You would essentially get your first point by walking up to Shikigami and asking him to regale you with tales of the last time he was in this swamp (still costs xp) before you head out on the mission. It would also cover things like avoiding poisonous swamp plants, finding out what is edible, noticing horrible beasties and such.

If this swamp were a magic card it would give two mana and turn into a 3/1.

A regenerator bloodline would be good.
Bloodline name: Lizard Tail. In battle, small wounds can be healed in a matter of minutes, restoring the person to full vitality even in the midst of battle. This is, however, a very uncomfortable process and too many wounds being healed at once can, in the untrained, cause a complete incapacitation. However, if given time to rest, entire limbs can be regenerated in as little as a few days. Note: broken bones do not set themselves and, given how quickly they heal (hours), it is more often than not necessary to rebreak a limb just so it can be set properly. Killing ninja with this ability involves complete destruction of the head, heart, or any other vital organ that cannot be regenerated quickly enough to sustain the body.

It does not come with an automatic pain tolerance. That has to be gained the hard way.

That's...a lot of mana. Strong Swamp is strong.

Hm. I could push my idea of a tactical / strategic level emotion manipulator for one of the teammates, but the idea didn't get much traction earlier and wouldn't help our squad level survival much though it would be good for the bigger picture.

I'd give it a chakra cost, I think. Free regeneration sounds a bit too useful.

I was actually thinking not so much a chakra cost as it is whenever the person is healing a wound (even in the middle of battle) their regeneration becomes 0. So if they lose a limb and then use all their chakra, they become almost literal dead weight until their limb comes back. The bloodline works by prioritizing chakra flow to an injury in a way directly similar to Kabuto's technique. A manual form to heal wounds fast could be developed, but it's something that would take a good while of dedicated training. Otherwise, all chakra that is regenerated goes straight to their wound(s), leaving them only the pool of chakra they have at that time to work with.

Well, chakra doesn't regenerate during strenous activity, so not having regeneration during battle isn't actually a drawback.
