- Why would this be required?
The limit is only for clanless, clanborn ninjas switching clans doesn't go aganst that limitThat doesn't work.
- Marriage counts against the +2 ninja/year limit.
- That still gives the Uchiha IN.

It's not though, it's reaching at best. The children born of this deal will be trained to be a part of both the highest caste society has and elites even among the Uchiha as potential sharingan holders. They will quite literally be born into the greatest position you can be born in. By that same logic every political union of any kind between nobles and royalty in human history is slavery and rape. It's not like most of those women had a choice, it's not like most of their children weren't born specifically to be trained into a high level role in their house or nation. Why is extremely unfair? His point isn't that Mari is lying, but that she's saying the truth and said truth is basically his post.
I'd imagine that we'd still roll vs. their Deceit or whatever social skill they'd put up?
I repeat, do you realistically think any of them can out-social Uplift?
I like the idea, but am worried about the practicalities. Goketsu are not infinitely rich, we cannot support everyone. If we offer this to the Uchiha civilian population, then tomorrow it'll be the civilians of another Clan, and the day after that, the civilians of another two Clans.
But that's hard, clearly these people we've never met are completely terrified and we need to bring in a girl Hazo flirted with a couple times to break into their minds and prove their consent. That's totally the ethical thing to do here.I'm squicked our by mind raping these girls. When we have 3 years to actually get to know them. We can just verify consent the old fashion way. Also the Uchiha have no reason to not pick the girls most enthusiastic girls for the deal
HDK.Semi-hypothetical question for the QMs: If we were under Infinite Tsukiyomi, or had a complete mental break, or were otherwise in an inescapable-from-the-inside illusion where our decisions would have no impact on the real world, would we still vote on things?
I haven't read all of the pages of discussion, so I'm not sure whether I'm just flogging a dead horse, but I would like to register a general disapproval of treating civilian women as second or third or fourth class and "this lopsided deal is the best they can hope for." That said, I recognise that the Goketsu are not gods and have to "lift where they stand," as it were.
Just, is there some way to give the girls more ironclad protections? Particularly of their right to be involved in their children's lives. Also maybe some kind of expensive-but-not-ruinous exit clause if they should later change their minds about being brood mares? So all their incentives remain in place, we expect the deal to work out smoothly, but we don't literally or effectively own them if circumstances change.
Actually, yes, I would argue that. Three of the wives of Henry VIII had children who went on to rule England. They were still effectively his slaves, even if theirs was a luxurious slavery. Until he decided he was bored of them. It's not like most of those women had a choice, it's not like most of their children weren't born specifically to be trained into a high level role in their house or nation.
(This is not a comment on any particular aspect in any particular plan, just a thing I noticed on a skim)Sure but say a girl wants to be a mother with Hazō but doesn't want to be mind raped?
I am just very anti infringing on peoples minds and privacy for trivial reasons. We can confirm their consent the old fashion way a don't need to mind rape a bunch of girlsSurely the answer there would be "that's nice, Hazou does not want to be a father with you, and consent is a team game"?
I think the argument is more this potentially gives a bunch of false negatives because "Literally reading your mind and sifting through memories" is a tad more invasive then "Do the squishy bits thing" depending on your perspective.(This is not a comment on any particular aspect in any particular plan, just a thing I noticed on a skim)

- Regarding the Uchiha deal: We want to have a clan meeting discussing it (including Naruto -- who will be the clan head at the time the deal takes effect). We also want to discuss it directly with Uchiha Sasuke. Both meetings should happen before any decisions are made. No agreement, tentative or otherwise should be given until this thing is thoroughly examined from every angle.
We have possible changes: How willing are the Uchiha to budge? What will it cost?
- An out for the girls that stop giving consent.
- An active role in raising the kids.
I'm sure we can beat them but there is a difference between knowing they are lying versus knowing why they are lying.
And the entire Uchiha clan also had all of those things before Itachi massacred them.
Never count out any clan of cheating haxor eyes. If they produced one Itachi they could do it again even if it's an accident.
...Could we amend the deal so that we have the right to be the sensei of any new prodigies they spawn? Instilling Uplift ideals in Itachi 2.0 would certainly help put my mind at ease.
Mari's Deal Plan said:
- Uchiha deal:
- What's the fallout from our Leaf allies/Mist?
- We have possible changes: How willing are the Uchiha to budge? What will it cost?
- An out for the girls that stop giving consent.
- An active role in raising the kids.
- Some way to keep IN in the Gouketsu.
- We're tentatively in agreement, but want a clan meeting to discuss this.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your view here, but unless I'm mistaken you're pushing for spreading out the price between us and ISC at which point... the price is the same for the women whether they're spread out between four clans or one. We're not giving up influence, as we don't have it yet. We're about to buy it, and I, for one, think that the price is too high.
