I never quite understood the issue with Keiko delivering the seals. If the Nara tried to insist that they were the ones getting paid now, wouldn't we just stop supplying them? And refuse to start again unless we're getting paid? It's not like Keiko can make the seals.

The Nara might co-opt us in that and then make the seals, but I would argue then that Keiko and the Pangolin are in breach of contract if they accept it.

@faflec @Oneiros I recommend splitting each plan into two distinct parts. One for stuff that could have happened before we visit Naruto and one for after.

It does if one of the following is true:
- Akane is dead.
- Akane really wants to join visiting Naruto.
- Akane says or does something that at least one of the Goketsu siblings would definitely mention to Naruto.
- We tell Akane that we want to adopt her and she agrees. At the same time we do not contrive a reason for keeping that a secret from Naruto.

They have to reverse-engineer the skywalkers to do that, though. Which might well be doable, but I don't know if any sealmaster of theirs could have had access to them thus far? Which makes it a concern that needs to be addressed, but not any time soon?
I am suddenly wondering why we aren't doing exactly the same thing for the Toads, though. Jiraiya must have had a reason. Maybe they aren't interested, or he was on such good terms with them he felt obliged to give them for free, or as an ongoing debt for Sage mode, or something?

Our deal with the Pangolins is based on 5SB, not Skywalkers.
The Nara likely already have Skywalkers. No reason for Jiraiya not to share them with the top tier Leaf sealmasters, they're a great strategic asset.

It's the skytower seals we are selling.
In any case, iirc we sold both the skywalker and the skytower seals in addition to their schematics and research notes to Leaf as a whole. They are not a clan secret. And Leaf has had huge incentives to crank out as many of them as possible without leaking them to outsiders in the last couple of months. I would be hugely surprised if the Nara haven't been a part of that effort.
I don't think it matters whether the Nara can make the seals. The deal is between the Pangolins and the Gouketsu clan. In the real world you don't break off contracts with your suppliers just because the company that owns the cargo delivery system is now partially owned by your supplier and partially owned by a rival supplier. You might do that if the rival offers a better deal, but that's not the same thing as the deal switching automatically to the rival.

We know that the Nara have sealmasters. We also know that the village had its own production networks for the seals we sell the Pangolins, AND that the Nara were Jiraya's allies and were thus probably the ones taught the seal and trusted to produce it.
Therefore I find it likely that the Nara could outright replace us as the Pangolin's suppliers if needed.
Now I doubt that Keiko would like it, so I find it more likely that the Nara simply tax her or have her take an intermediary's fee in the name of the Nara clan.
