Either we're fucked beyond belief or Team Leaf just pulled it off with a crit success or Literally Everyone Died.
Given that Radvic wrote the code, perhaps the latter?
Also:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Look, work with me here. Sure, Leaf might have just lost all our senior ninja and are now pray to whichever of <intact other villages, intact Akatsuki> is more dangerous, but we can still solve this. Just gather our firepower, and strike while the iron is hot.
"WAIT WAIT WAIT You can kill us Pein but plz tell us what happened at Nagi island. For uh. Reasons."Alternatively the whole strike team got slaughtered and Akatsuki is coming around to get payback/eliminate any other potential threats to their master plan, and Leaf is first on the list.
For the record, we did actually use a slightly modified version of this.Just to set expectations at an appropriate level, I did a brief review of @Radvic's code during the weekend, and found, quoting verbatim:

And as we all know, torturing players is the most important part of this all.[X] Lore Update: Battle of the Gods: More Godliness
Maybe do it as a series of loosely connected POV vignettes of various characters fighting and either living or dying, as the battle rages on? You could easily restrict information that way, as well as torture the playerbase with multiple cliffhangers.
