She's definitely used it more than once, though we don't know the circumstances."The price for that is getting higher all the time," she half-said, half-muttered. She licked her lips uncomfortably. "Hazou," she said. "I...really can't. Before, I didn't have much to lose but now I do. All of you are...precious to me." The last words came out in a rush and she blushed furiously.
Her laugh was grim. "Nope. Truth Lost in the Fog...all the catharsis of personal conversations, none of the ongoing vulnerability. I wasn't willing to look weak in front of my team, so I killed you."
Whatcha gonna pick?
OK, finally back. I think. Or at least workload has finally been reduced to below spoon regeneration rate.
Separately, I would like to share with you a quote from the Re:Zero light novel:
"Selling things is nice, but, but, but, doing favors are number one! Intangible, no depreciation, no overhead—and more than anything, you can slap a price on it after the fact!"
Anastasia Hoshin, actually. That's either Otto or Subaru. I'm going to guess Otto from a POV chapter.
That's my policy when I play Shadowrun, too. It's how I ended up with a mob boss indebted to me.OK, finally back. I think. Or at least workload has finally been reduced to below spoon regeneration rate.

So now that we are back in leaf and hopefully have no fires to put out what are some medium term plans that y'all want to work on? Things that we can start laying the ground work for that will pay off in a month or so.
Depending on if EJ writes mine or @faflec plan we should find out if Kagome is ok with taking on new sealing students. If he doesn't want to do it would you be ok with Hazō teaching?Assuming that the world doesn't spontaneously combust, we should grab a couple fresh genin /academy seniors who otherwise have poor career prospects and teach them sealing.
What they get:
What we get:
- Elevated status from hitching their stars to our chariot
- Better career prospects
- The ability to print money
- A decent percentage chance of eventually getting Cthulhu'd if they want to do real research. Thats on them though.
- No longer have to spend time IC making a kajillion explosives and storage seals each month
A handful of people eternally indebted to usNew friends

I definitely agree that we'd need to hire a Calligraphy instructor. Hazō hasn't really had to worry anywhere near as much about calligraphy as most sealmasters. There could be all kinds of tricks and stuff that people like Kagome use in order to make sure they get a seal right every time, which Hazō might never have learned (or may have forgotten).Hazou has Sealing 20, so yeah. We can just copy all of Kagome's safety procedures as far as the Sealing stuff goes.
Might want to hire a Calligraphy instructor for them (Hazou is fair at drawing stuff, but I would want them to be a bit more than our effective level here before drawing seals since they'll need to pass the Calligraphy check every time).
