[X] Action Plan: Queen and ACE
Length: 10(?) Days
Word Count: TBD
  • Help Mari and Kagome in whichever way Mari instructs.
    • Reassure Kagome that we believe in him.
    • Talk to Kumokugo about Kagome's social issues, request leniency.
  • Meet with Noburi to see the results of his ACE training.
    • If Noburi is unable to safely determine the effects, request that Kabuto examines Noburi again to see if he can safely cast Shadow Clone.
    • If so, request permission for Noburi to learn SC from Asuma.
    • Congratulate Noburi on being the first Goketsu to finish ACE training. Ask all Goketsu to begin ACE training.
  • Kagome's meeting with Kumokugo.
    • Kagome's POV.
  • Sealing: The easier of chakra adhesion activated ARS and two output ARS.

Is it possible for the Goketsu to start helping estate ninja find specialized training? I believe Tsunade had already start recruiting Goketsu ninja into becoming medic.

Our biggest issue is probably funding, and the next biggest issue is finding people who is willing to teach.

FOOM XP for Chapter 512

Base XP: 4 3

Akane: 59 Resolve -> 1.8x * 4 3 = 7.2 5.4 FOOM XP
Hazo: 44 Resolve -> 1.3x * 4 3 = 5.2 3.9 FOOM XP
Kei: 60 Resolve -> 1.8x reduced by .4 due to Snowflake -> 1.4x * 4 3 = 5.6 4.2 FOOM XP

@eaglejarl Akane and Kei have enough Pangolin XP to autolevel Physique.

AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Unless I'm much mistaken, brevity XP doesn't count towards the base, meaning the base XP is 3.
Oops, right you are! I've edited the post.

For those interested, the relevant bit of the rules from the Jutsu doc:

After level 30, it gives a percentage bonus to XP per day based on the number of clones training and training duration. Specifically, you gain +10% XP / clone / training block that you assign to training. Do not round the total. This applies only to the base XP award for an update, not to OOC XP, brevity bonuses, creative training bonuses, etc.

"Of course," Mari said, smiling. "His girlfriend and I have been friends for months—don't you recall me calling her 'Kurenai' when you and her team sparred? Naturally, she and Asuma and I have gone for tea often enough that Asuma and I have become friends in our own right."
You know, given this fact, and the the fact that Asuma blushed a deep red when Mari reported that one Wakahisa's information (Mari snapped him out of the embarrassment by calling it a "classic honeypot mission"), I suspect that Mari and Kurenai tease Asuma about being a prudish golden child. And that Asuma feels a mixture of respect and confusion about Mari (also probably attraction, because Mari) for her professionalism, skill, and personal enjoyment of her chosen profession.

...albeit, the "personal enjoyment" hasn't exactly been true lately. And now I've made myself sad.

Getting good ninjutsu for Noburi brainstorm.
  • Looking for an untapped source of advantage.
    • High chakra price techniques.
      • Less developed because few shinobi can use them or meaningfully master them.
      • Jutsu makers without enough chakra face penalties or cannot make them.
      • Jinchūriki have existed for generations as reliable high chakra assets. Made ninjutsu for themselves or had them made by allies? Too risky politically to power up a rival?
        • Techniques like Kage Bunshin that Naruto uses better than anyone else could.
        • Spreading tags between clones.
        • 2 in 1 effects. Substitution + Damage.
        • No chakra boosting limit.
        • Flat, always on bonuses for high daily chakra costs. ie +AB to Alertness.
    • What exists already? What do experts think is doable?
    • Is there a high chakra Akimichi jutsu maker?
    • Mend bonds by cooperating with Naruto.
  • Determine if 7th Path clans have a way to diplomatically contact Sharks. Use it to make connections + trade for Water jutsu.

For now, I want you to put together a shortlist for adoptions."

"Of course, sir. Any particular characteristics?"

"Lived on the estate for at least six months, to start with. Beyond that, they should have a clean disciplinary record, chūnin rank or an equivalent specialization—sealmaster, jutsu hacker, medic, that kind of thing—and they must have somehow shown that they're aligned with the spirit of Uplift."

"They've taken till'n'fill missions, donated money to civilian causes, that kind of thing?"

"Exactly." Sage, it was so fantastic having subordinates who could figure out the details on their own.

"Understood, sir."

Hazō does not know their current status. They haven't shown up in Leaf yet.

@Velorien assures me that at some point we said you've adopted four chūnin.

@eaglejarl and @Velorien, I was wondering if we could get an update on these four Chunnin? Their names, specializations, vague temperament, that sort of thing?

If we have another medic, we could have them teach medical courses (using Tsunade's textbooks, of course) at the GED to funnel more medical staff to the Goketsu Estate's clinic (or even the Leaf Hospital). If we have more sealmasters, we could have them supplement Kagome's Students with regard to Explosives and keeping the family outfitted with their equipment (thereby allowing Kagome's Students to begin working on their own seals), or have them sell seals for the clan.

If, by some RNG miracle, one of the four is a Hacker, we could have them working on some ideas (I'm sure the hivemind has some), or working in conjunction with Mari (who used to have TH as part of her main/secondary stat-build) to make more utility jutsu?

Or if we got more social specs, we could fold them into Mari's budding spy network to help give her more resources to pull off cool things. It would also take the "I am the only social spec maintaining the Goketsu environment" weight off her back, meaning--

Ah, I'm rambling. Point being, more information means more Uplift Plans, meaning plans that are more active, meaning more QM Onscreen Worldbuilding Work, meaning Happier QMs, meaning less QM time to spend plotting offscreen worldbuilding, meaning less Surprise Kaiju Events (not that those aren't fun, but I recall a QM statement to that effect and I'm now shamelessly leveraging that in a friendly/hopefully-harmless/well-intentioned way to prod for more information).
