At this point it probably isn't an unwise investment for Hazou to get Hokage permission to breathe....why would we need approval to invite someone to dinner with ourselves?
Can do it after, resolve and sealing/calig take priority. Before or after upgrading Resolve(For FOOM) and Callig/Sealing?
Once again good deceit should come first. Before or after upgrading Resolve(For FOOM) and Callig/Sealing?
Actually Noburi knows about FOOM and has 10 deceit. Let's start to fix that
[X] Training Noburi: Learning to lie
Deceit 10 -> 20 (155 XP)
save 42 XP
For all we know, making a new scroll might be as easy as ripping an existing one into two, except nobody tries because of sacredness and tradition. Chakra things are bullshit and why would 56 hand seals map to a water dragon jutsu anyway.Whoa whoa whoa whoa wait what???? A new scroll? They only broke off from the cats recently-ish, long after the Sage's time. A new scroll popped into existence or someone can still make them/modify them!
Scrolls are damn near indestructible. There's obviously a way to create new ones which the bosses probably know something about, but they obviously aren't a small investment and apparently can only exist one at a time. Perhaps their creation is related to why the crows and/or slugs get special treatment on the seventh path. For all we know, making a new scroll might be as easy as ripping an existing one into two, except nobody tries because of sacredness and tradition. might have a point if we were arguing if we should be updating combat stats.I would propose that "not dying" should come first. Considering we're in a war and all of that.
good catch will change the plan to 19 and that lets us buy a point of CR as well. Later can deal with pyramidsIt is invalid, Noburi Pyramid is 7/7/3/2/1, Deceit 20 is means 6/8/3/2/1 if my calculations are correct, even if i admit i'm not the best with math.
Actually Noburi knows about FOOM and has 10 deceit. Let's start to fix that

Okay, let's try this. Work from the template of Pacific salmon. These fish are so finicky to cultivate because they need to be able to transition from fresh to salt water and back before swimming up such dangerous currents that it makes more sense to sacrifice themselves to maximize spawn than it does to bet on achieving it a second time. Their spawning grounds are naturally overcrowded, so they resort to competitive cannibalization. Kin groups work together to facilitate this, hence their development of exponentially growing team effects. Through generations of cultivation and breeding the Wakahisa have developed breeds which, with careful precision, can be sustained in concentrated lots through multiple breeding cycles, but get it even a little bit wrong and they atavistically revert to the ancestral state and a bloodbath ensues.+5 XP if someone figures out a life cycle for these fish that is plausible according to real science + MfD-onscreen statements, and it makes sense to the QMs. They spawn eggs once per year and the fry are cannibalistic of both eggs and each other. Partial award if we use part of your idea but make changes.
You keep spelling his name wrong? I was under the impression that there were only three groups of people. With the sheer extent to which we can't seem to get how Hazo's name is spelled straight just once I really want to see someone on screen shit bricks at the prospect of having to spell Hazo's name.
Cuz if even we keep spelling his name wrong, then could you imagine how bad it must be for people in universe?
You did not spell "Hazō" correctly even once on your post. With the sheer extent to which we can't seem to get how Hazo's name is spelled straight just once I really want to see someone on screen shit bricks at the prospect of having to spell Hazo's name.

Like Asuma spelling Hazo's name wrong on a birthday card or something and Hazo just having to go:
You did not spell "Hazō" correctly even once on your post.
@Velorien, does Hazō have an actual kanji for his name?
A garnet with the traditional character 赤 inscribed above it. Then a white moonstone with the character 毛. Then a blue moonstone with the character の. And finally, in the middle of the pendant with no stone, the character 刃.
The gems had been the hardest part to obtain, Hazō recalled. Had it not been for Kagome's mineral knowledge, Noburi's persuasive abilities, Akane's natural charm and Hazō's ice-cold intimidation, there was no way they'd have been able to find an affordable set without being cheated three ways to Sunday. As for the design, once the team had established the basic parameters, the rest had all been Keiko.
And since Keiko had been responsible for the final design, there was also a carefully-made (and thus unreasonably expensive) cover, for when Inoue-sensei didn't want anyone to know there was an inscription on the pendant, or (as Keiko had observed) when she didn't want to be a woman walking around poor areas wearing jewellery with sparkling gemstones. Nobody looked twice at a plain iron pendant.
Inoue-sensei stared down at the gift. "Akage no Ha," she said. "Redheaded Blade. That's so…"
Then she looked down at the characters again, and sounded them out individually. "Aka. Ke. No. Ha."

Lailoken is correct in that they are seemingly indestructible. There is another possible explanation though: the Leopards are lying about having a Scroll/Summoner which is why they're being cagey about it.Scrolls are damn near indestructible. I use Hazou because the ō is a pain to type on mobile and I can't autocorrect to Hazō.You keep spelling his name wrong? I was under the impression that there were only three groups of people.
1) Those who spell the name "Hazō", following the most widely-used Revised Hepburn romanisation system. This includes the QMs, because it's the clearest on how the name is meant to be pronounced.
2) Those who spell the name "Hazou", using a common transliteration popularised by fansubs.
3) Those who spell the name "Hazo", and are wrong.
I don't think there's any actual confusion involved.
Another severe mental consequence.Someone joked about downloading the Dog scroll earlier. What actually happens if we do? Not that we should, but I'm morbidly curious.
Alternatively, they stole the Cat scroll when they left.Lailoken is correct in that they are seemingly indestructible. There is another possible explanation though: the Leopards are lying about having a Scroll/Summoner which is why they're being cagey about it.
Technically that is covered in my original statement:
Making the scroll recognize a different boss seems like a modification to me. That would be hilarious though. No wonder the cats are so saltyA new scroll popped into existence or someone can still make them/modify them!
Hazou-pilot would reject the order, but if he didn't, then he'd probably die.Someone joked about downloading the Dog scroll earlier. What actually happens if we do? Not that we should, but I'm morbidly curious.
Last chapter And the one before that.Hey everyone, just caught back up. Man, the last thirty or so chapters have been rough. When's the last time Uplift had an actual Win?
But more seriously the idea is that with even we questers not consistently spelling Hazō's name correctly, people in universe might have similar problems.
I just found the idea of something like Hazō's name coming up in a spelling bee and the contestants shitting bricks because they've seen his name spelled both with and without a "u" and don't know for sure which is the correct spelling amusing.

That would be hilarious, but we know that the capybara had a similar schism previously, so there probably is some way to distill a separate clan's essence into a scroll. It might be related to the philosophical law of identity, why summons don't like maps, and why their sky changes to reflect the territory it is over.Lailoken is correct in that they are seemingly indestructible. There is another possible explanation though: the Leopards are lying about having a Scroll/Summoner which is why they're being cagey about it.
Hazo: at least he did not call me kurosawa.
Another severe mental consequence.
The cats are cats. Don't get me wrong, I love cats, but I'm also under no illusions that they aren't adorably fuzzy sociopathic balls of murder with built-in knives who are perpetually one bad dream away from ripping our eyes out of our skulls before either of us wake up enough to even understand what is happening.Technically that is covered in my original statement:
