I think this is "Hazou and Nobby pull an all nighter or two to get the paperwork for the proposal done" levels of IC time. After that its a Kabuto/Nobby thing I think, maybe?

I would like to maybe have Kabuto do some more Iron Nerve tests.

As one of the chief co-conspirators of this I dont think we have the ability to set this up immediately. We can either do the Sealcraft route or the Saltern route. I prefer a mix of both, so that we can launder our vast illicit gains through a series of shell organizations to keep the MC's of the world in the dark. Also its good practice.

I was extremely skeptical of this at first. @Roomba pointed out that we could essentially use it as a form of minion tryouts and/or a springboard to recruit folks to form an actual organization, in addition to the good pr (the good pr aspect alone isn't enough for me, since I think a week of going out and fixing problems ourselves is inefficient and the pr boost is limited. ALTHOUGH: Given that we should soon have bards and performers travelling around spreading the good word about The Legend of Team Uplift, it will be a nice pile of corroboratory evidence that weaves together to cement solid public relations. This is a good combo.)

I want to finish the chakra detector seal research and get bigger storage seals. Consequently I want to upgrade Macerators to work with bigger payloads. I also want to make faster Macerators. These might be mutually exclusive upgrades, and thats ok.

We need to take some time when we get back to set up some things for the Merchant Spy Network (logistics, resources, number crunching, etc) as well as set some preliminary defensive measures up to make sure that Shin doesn't become the president of Keiko's Fan Club or some shit like that. Essentially, make sure he can't subtly maneuver himself to block our access to resources.

I don't think we're ready for SS search and doing HM implies that we get a lot of research, including seals

I would also like to send some time solidifying the family, i.e. make sure Mari is recovering and help if we can and make sure Akane is part of the Team again. If she's alive that is

Ah, we also need to set up a favor economy and start raking in debt, and acquire minions/ a secretary.

Some Sith Lording with academy students would be nice.

What would you consider an acceptable level of socials for Kei to have before approaching Hidden Mountain?

As for the summoning scroll conspiracy it is a very much a slow burn. Investigating through the summoning realm. Looking into the Hinnago Medical Facility. Investigating Tea about the loss of the capybara scroll. Deepening our ties with the Yakuza. Continue development of spy network. Recruiting a jounin to lead the mission. That sort of stuff

High 20s to low 30s for relevant skills. Rapport, Presence, and Deceit IIRC, but I'd want to check to be sure these are the correct skills for what I'm imagining Keiko will be doing.

I'm in agreement with some, but not all, of the proposals you have for the Summoning Scroll conspiracy; I think we've had this discussion before? Regardless, the spy network may well be the higher priority given its ability to cross over into other proposals and we can do that while we do other things.

those are all at 10 right now. Getting them all to thirty would take...

((30)*(31)/2 XP - 10*11/2 XP)*3 skills / 3 xp/day = 410 days.

If Akane is dead, we mourn and glare at Jiraiya if he does nothing about it, and maybe indirectly persuade Tsunade to do something for us in recompense.

Vengeance is on the table at a given time if and only if we are certain we could kill her or otherwise stop an enraged -- from whatever form of maniacal vengeance we have wrought -- Tsunade from pancaking us in return, or somehow enact some sort of Machiavellian plot to point the inevitable charging S-ranker away from us.

This is a very optimal situation to "Lose." as they say.

Ehhhh...last time we were trying to keep HM from killing us/stalling for time while Keiko learned Summoning from Takahashi. From the sounds of things we're gonna need to be far more active if we want to get them on board with us. I'd rather not do Sealing research while in HM, it seems rather rude to not be giving them our full attention since we're on a diplomatic mission to their village. At best we could trade ideas/methodology with them, or other theoretical Sealing ideas involving HM.
 
Meanwhile in the Discord, the plot to design an IC CCG takes shape.

Checking on the rest of team uplift should come first when we get home, I think. It either won't take that long, or will be quite necessary. At least some effort into walking the moral walk would also be good IC I think.

I want to work more on expanding our spy network, and on figuring out how we'll keep in contact with them. Also actually asking them to spy for us. Right now it's just a bunch of business deals.

We can come up with a formal contract with some obligations (journal keeping, written reports, doubling as messengers, adhering to our "optimized trade routes" or what have you) for the travelling merchants/whoever to do that bit.
 
Jiraiya keeping the hat is vital. Nothing will help him keep the hat like revealing a suprise alliance with a ninja village nobody knew existed in a previously unaligned barrier country with lots of sea trade.

What is our angle on getting HM to ally with Leaf?

  • Do it or we will reveal you to the world?
    • They've kept themselves secret because they don't want to be a vassal state continuously going on suicide missions. We will need some bullet proof guarantees of good treatment, that will last even if the Hyuuga take the hat from us.
  • Do it or we will destroy you!
    • 80 ninja being coerced into helping you and all know each other, like each other, and live together far from your center of power but close to your more vulnerable allies aren't an asset, they are a liability.
  • Do it for the good of the world?
    • I think they are content to let the world burn.
  • Do it for the great prophet!
    • Very difficult to pull off. Keiko would need better socials. (40s to 50s)
  • Do it, we've got great stuff!
    • They've had 400 years to get used to their current living situation. Quality of Life improvements might fall flat, better weapons are dangerous to us.
  • Do it to save yourselves from extinction.
    • I think we have a QM saying that the population of HM was a lot bigger until recently.
    • I don't know if the concept of stable breeding populations even exists.
    • It might even be possible to do it while maintaining secrecy.
      • The EN probably produce more infant orphans than they are able to care for. We could try to redirect a fraction of the mistreated orphans to HM.
        • This should be win/win. The baby gets better care than they were going to, HM gets to marry people that aren't its genetic 2nd cousins, and the baby should be treated as a full member of HM, not a mistrusted outsider.
