I believe that before we get shadow clones for Keiko we need to address her addictive personality with respect to mind-altering techniques.

e: To be clear, this absolutely is not a joke. I strongly believe that Keiko is addicted -- in some regard -- to using the Frozen Skein to dull her negative emotions.

e2: It's like how alcohol's a depressant but people who are depressed use it to dull their emotions all the same.

Well, she doesn't use it on all negative emotions.

She lets UNYIELDING RAGE through just fine.

I personally am keeping an eye out for the update which you hoped to write but were unable to write and is probably going to be written by eaglejarl, which previous comments have led me to suspect is not the update covering the plan but is rather the update covering the unexpected event that invalidated eaglejarl's first attempt to cover the plan.
You and Noburi both.

I think we still need to know what Velorien is going to drop on our heads before deciding what to do next. Probably will save us a lot of time.
The current plan, which is subject to unexpected revision for any or no reason, batteries not included, good where prohibited, do not taunt happy fun ball, is that @Velorien will write an update for Sunday. I may also write one, no warranty express or implied, provided as-is, no returns or Substitutions although clones are okay as are hinges.

[x] Lore Update: Saving Private Nobby

I can haz?? : D

No one's forcing you to. Interludes can be about anything in the MfDverse, or occasionally alternative timelines.

I get that you might have forgotten a detail like the song. But at the point where you forget that Akane spent the entirety of Team Uplift's first visit to Leaf in hospital due to nearly getting killed by Arikada's acid worms, and that the pivotal event of her and Hazō's mutual love confession happened in said hospital, I feel like you're just not paying attention.

I know you since retracted this, but even if they weren't reading all that other stuff it feels kinda like bad form to criticize a reader for not remembering something that was published months, if not years, ago. Like we all have real life stuff to deal with too ya know?

That said I don't want it to seem like I'm criticizing you too harshly either. I cannot properly express my gratitude for the hundreds of hours of free entertainment (if I count time spent reading comments in addition to the story itself) you and the other QMs have provided us.

Likely a result of the self-filtering mechanism that is this quest. The people Velorien interacts with and sees posting in this quest are, 95 times out of a hundred, regulars who are sufficiently-obsessed dedicated to remember most of these things.

(Just so we're clear: you now owe me the mother of all favours. Making sense isn't easy.)

Your flair has bothered me for a while, so I've taken it upon myself to improve it for you:

Optimize Wordcount

(Just so we're clear: you now owe me the mother of all favours. A 50% improvement isn't easy.)

Makes sense. I've read all the chapters, omakes, and a good portion of the thread (since I caught up). But unlike you crazy bastards I haven't REREAD the 1.1 million words of the main story.

So there was a short discussion in Tales of the People about gaming the system.
It will also be useful to look at chtonicle of nations and see rockeye's choices.
If we follow suite we can game his mindset and get him to reward us by pandering to his subconscious decisions.
And it made an interesting point, which inspires me to make my own: the most munchkinny thing you can do is not to break the game, but to seduce the GM (what better way to game their mindset than to activate the most powerful subconscious mechanism of love?).
And remember: We need to keep Oli cooperative no matter what, so you need to get on Earl's good side. Get his trust so he'll talk to you. Get in his bed at a minimum. If you can, make him love you. Valerian is more suspicious than the other two and we can't stop him from talking to Oli about his suspicions, so we need Earl to be putting positive things in Oli's head as a counterweight.
Jiraiya was right all along, in more ways than he thought.

In fact, now I am now convinced that this is how Ami became so OP- her hivemind is more persuasive (and probably prettier).

My first thought was "wtf? How would you even think up an idea like that?!!!"
But then I realized, this reaction is the surest sign that a true member of the Hivemind has spoken.

After all the shipping discussion, it's only natural for the Sea of Love to swallow real people as well as fictional ones.

All that also reminded me of the r/rational valentines thread, which may have shaped my subconscious thoughts.
Pretty much any rational, self-aware character should do their best to seduce the most powerful person they can get their hands on.
God of your world is a pretty good target, all things considered.

[<3] Action Plan: Seduce Oli

Timeskip to when Hazou is Oli's age, then attempt to seduce him. Requisition Mari's help. Time travel backwards into his old body once the seduction is complete. Continue from the next winning plan.

Wimp. Google Chrome stopped counting for me after the big 100.
I recently closed 200 tabs.

Honestly, I think my own flair captures the sentiment just fine. No need to thank me--just solve death, reverse entropy, and spend every moment maximizing my utility function and we'll call it square.

I note that both @eaglejarl and @Velorien have Patreons. Go throw money at them folks!

Even without it being an explicit bribe, additional financial security will result in better mood and therefore better outcomes for us -- including XP.

So when we go to Mountain what is our win condition there? Do we just want to build an alliance with them and Leaf? Do we want them tied directly to the Goketsu? Do we want to instate Kei as the Messiah and rule directly? What about creating a priesthood that run the village but is answerable to Kei?

Making Keiko messiah means we put her here. That means no access to the Nara.

Thats not necessarily true? Most religious folk don't have physical access to their messiah of choice. Most don't even have on demand access to their major religious leaders (or whatever passes for those).
