Here you go, the main part you'll want to be looking at is section 3, where it talks about stuff like 'how much deflection will a wooden frame of the appropriate size experience?' and 'What's the tightest restriction on seal alignment precision that can be reasonably accomplished by ninja?' (which, since we can align force wall seals, gives us an amount of deflection that should not interfere with the seal)

Im not at liberty to elaborate, but one of the many Faustian bargains compelling me on this point is that I swore to rectify Hazou's relationship related idiocy.

I believe this is in the cards here.

Replace the Keiko section with a consultation of Jiraiya for dating advice. Ask Keiko if she would like to help us create a survey we can hand to potential suitors to give us actionable feedback after dates (or other mild quasi-personal social interactions such as getting a cup of hot chocolate or an instance of two individuals hdbwhcbjbfbebfkctn).

Advantage is that you can carry civilians, and a base of operation. Also it may be faster than ninja and save on seals.
 
Right so I won't be voting for the Ami plan since it accomplished nothing that I'm interested in, but won't argue against it much IFF we also get Jiraiya's permission and/or advice.
 
Why are you guys talking about dating? I just want Ami to stop pretending she doesn't care about Keiko, and for Keiko to forgive Mari.

I... don't think we have an IC reason to ask Jiraiya for permission or advice, here. It's a very personal matter for Keiko, and Hazou has no clue Jiraiya knows Ami or that she's politically relevant.

Do we know / know of any seals that differ only by the addition of a single line? We could print that extra line, then manually draw the rest of the seal over it, and see if infusing gets us the first seal, the second seal, or a horrible death?

With all the sealing ways to destroy the world I'm surprised the world still exists. Yes, it is highly irrational, but irrational people exist.

How much overland trade is there that does involve ninja escorts but does not involve the majority of goods being transported in seals? If the amount is enough that it would be worth doing by ship if there were waterways then it is worth doing by airship.

Basically all overland trade doesn't involve transportation of goods in seals.

And yeah, waterways are still the primary transportation artery. There's a reason why canals are logistic kings until the invention of the railroad.

They would be useful if we wanted to avoid dismantling the merchant council.
 
@MadScientist: I am strongly against you changing the fundamentals of your plan.

Since you seem to be thinking of a major change, please just make a new plan.

I think it's important that plans don't change in big ways after people have voted for them.

You could also argue that this isn't a big change.
 
I have made edits to the following plan!

1) Dating advice! Yeehaw! I think Jiraiya will be so proud.
2) Bonding with Noburi and Keiko over Hazou's social issues, instead of the Ki thing.

Airships would be useful if they didn't require ninja to operate. Lessening the dependency of the civilian populations on ninja is important in the long-term.

Even if airships aren't optimal, they make for a very nice research project, in that building one will force us to recruit a civilian contingent of skilled craftsmen and engineers, whom we are going to need for more important projects later.

Everyone is missing the obvious part here: We want airships so we can double dip and do some actual ship to ship combat between HazAmi vs KeiTen. May the stronger relation-air-ship win.

That said, Hazou needs to get some ranged options soon or Ami will have to carry his sorry ass to victory.
