I don't think Jiraiya will answer that question; he'll just say it's above our clearance. Mostly because it actually is above our pay grade; but partly because if he claims Mummy died it'll emotionally compromise us (Hazou), and Jiraiya knows it. Also because Jiraiya wasn't focused on the ANBU fights (he fought Mei IIRC) and most of the enemy Mist Jonin probably got vaporized by Deidara.

Do you seriously think Mari will be so busy that she can't grab five minutes with Jiraiya in his office (or other secured location Jiraiya spends time in)? Because I don't.

  • If you have a solution that gets us alone with Jiraiya quickly and without annoying him even after talking to him then by all means tell me, because I don't fucking see it.
  • The ANBU were already there since we're in the Hokage's fucking office, and shadowed Jiraiya as we left because he's the fucking Hokage, or even followed us from before since he's fucking Jiraiya of the Leaf Three.

Personal opinion says TacMove if we're going to be out and about for the next couple weeks. That or Stealth, if we can get level 15+ (?).

Edit: Yeah, we can all afford effective Stealth 15. I'd recommend that since it gets us the full Skywalker buff.

Though that does assume Jiraiya allows us to use them...

  • Then we mention it to Mari later, since we have 2 hours to get stuff.
  • Stating a solution exists does not mean we have the ability to figure it out. Arguing for a course of action based on the belief that we can find that solution is not a wise decision.
  • We are still in the Hokage Tower and the Hokage's office 3 billion percent has to have sensitive material that needs to be guarded.
  • Jiraiya was not left unguarded, ever. When we fucked up and threatened Kabuto ANBU immediately showed up. When we talked to Jiraiya in his office ANBU were already there and Jiraiya had to order them out.
Edit: Fuck it, this is a waste of my time. Ping me if you ever figure out a solution.
 
Would you agree to check whether we are allowed to use skywalkers and leave the preliminary designs for the zephyr's reach rifle on his desk with the estimation for power with him, @faflec?

Yes to the former and maybe to the latter. I'm pretty sure I asked Jiraiya about skywalkers, though?

Stealth 11 [11]
Stealth 12 [23]

General idea is to level Stealth to 15 (getting the full Skywalker buff) and then spending the rest of our XP in TacMove.

Hazō and Noburi are actually better of rolling taijutsu or water whip in combat than trying to use tac move to dodge. Hazō brings 49 with Roki and chakra boost. where as Noburi gets
51 with water whip and hozuki's mantle.
So suggest Roki instead of tacmove for Hazō

For the zephyr's reach rifle, LBFs aren't going to work. We need storage scrolls with Kagome's proximity sensor. Just make the range extremely small and have the trigger push something just far enough to trigger the seal when it's in the right position.

We're on a delivery mission and are not expected to see combat; furthermore, if we do see combat it's going to be either with Jonin-levels or above at which point we're already fucked.

Why do you think we will only be targeted by Jonin? Much more likely that a bunch of chunnin target us.
Also we are limited to lowest Tacmove in our travel speed so leveling Hazou only doesn't help. Where as if we hit combat an extra 3 dice is huge.

I hope to god we don't see any combat. Our stealth is shit, even shitter if we have to rescue some poor civilians.

We actually will have close to comparable Tacmove to Jounin. The problem is that weapon users will dominate us. Right now with Roki it gives as a better comparative advantage to level that then Tacmove. After getting up to Roki 12 Tacmove goes back up in value
