But this makes the iron mining seal easier.
Heating gets us two thing: Fireless heat source for our hot air balloon, and a way to boil water for salts. Only problem is that we aren't near the ocean. So it's not as useful one would like.
Cooling seals give us an immediate commercial application in the form of ICE(tm).

On an unrelated note, I read Ready Player One yesterday. One of the spaceships in it, piloted by two Japanese brothers, was named the Kurosawa. That was neat.

Could this be done with a variant of Kagome's Implosion seal? It stores and then releases all the air within a radius, so perhaps instead of air it could do iron, gold, or any other substance you want to extract from the ground? (though that might be lethal - the human body has a lot of iron in it) Probably would need to test it at a distance and have a mouse in a cage or something to see if that'd happen.

We should also ask if there are any training facilities that we could take advantage of now that we are in a major village. We should also get a medical checkup and vaccinations, the whole nine yards. We could also ask what we would need to work on to cover any weakness in our mostly self taught skill set.

Basically this is the goal. Just more storage seal variations to lower the TN. We have 7 variations on it all ready so should be able to make more relatively easily
