Could always send Kei to meet Ino or choji

Edit having Kei quiz Ino about potential Nara husbands would be a fun scene

Anyone voting for both a research plan and Training Hazou: None, I am almost certain that the "Training" and "Research" plan prefixes are synonymous because they use the same timeslot, so if Training Hazou: None wins then that means no research either. So if you want to do research then I advise unvoting to do nothing.

If you guys want an interaction with other Genin our age, you gotta help me. I have no idea what we'd even talk about.

Personally I would veto interactions with Ino (because the whole Akane dynamic gets fucked) and Team Guy (because Jiraiya said so).

@MadScientist IIRC Training and Research are separate votes, with research taking priority.

I'd strongly recommend only researching the beginner seals in the book for now, unless you guys can convince faflec to add "ask J for X seal to research" to the action plan :p

*random stray thought*

TENTEN. KEIKO LIKES TENTEN HAVE THEM GO HAVE LUNCH TOO.

Granted, Te---

*looks up Tenten's affiliation*: Team Guy.

FUCK.

We could try brown-nosing Choji with some cooking discussion. IIRC there's at least one unique recipe(/variation?) floating around that our team has. I think(?) it might be someone else's so we'd have to ask about talking about it?

As long as we research any seal we get the benefits. So doesn't matter if what we research is in the book or not
No, but I do not expect any of the other seals to be super fast to learn like those in a beginner's guide to sealing book would be. And if any of those seals make it easier to do Heating/Cooling/whatever seals it'll pay for itself in risk reduction and research time being decreased.

e: For reference, Alarm Seals took us, what, 1 day to research? (or was it three?) And it's probably in the same class of seal as these are.

If that was what he was implying, it's almost certain that he's wrong about chakra beasts coming from the OP henge - there's far too many different species of chakra beasts out there for that to be the case IMO.

This is a compelling point, but remember also that there were a lot more early people, and there may not have been a good education program.
If there's truth to the early henge users transforming into animals and not being able to turn back, then they would have stayed intelligent
Why? The henge's mind is not the biological mind, so there's no motivation to have the biological mind particularly capable.

Also, apparently the universe already has vibroblades, or at least a lightning chakra flow technique which enhances cutting ability through the same effect. The concept should be very straightforward for the musician Hazou to understand if written up without a mention of unnecessary ultrasonic frequencies, and quick to apply since it only uses two already developed seals pretty much unmodified.

Isn't there already a solution to the "chakra diffusion problem" in the form of chakra threads? Since they conduct chakra, they'd also seem to make infusions safer.

Actually, iron nerve seems like it would make somebody an extremely dangerous puppeteer...

I do not believe this is correct. CounterBot does not do any matching with "Research" as a prefix, and thus they would be distinct. Further, QMs have stated that they do not do any sort of fuzzy vote matching.

@OliWhail @eaglejarl @Velorien

I had an idea re: Ninjutsu rebalance that you guys probably had too but I'm gonna share it anyway:

Every element type gets its own skill. Techniques of that element type scale that skill level by an amount appropriate for the skill, and cost a flat amount of XP to learn (and possibly an additional quantity to get it up to par? It'd be weird to be immediately skillfull in a technique you just learned, but being good at the element should have some impact).

For instance:

In spite of being an easy technique to learn, Water Whip scales well because it's got basis in both fighting skill and ninjutsu skill (this would also probably require that it have a Dex requirement). It'd probably have a 1.0x or .9x scalar, and would cost something like 10 XP to learn, +1 XP per 10 levels in Water Ninjutsu.

Noburi learned it when he was a genin, so it only cost 10 XP for him to learn. He presently has 34 Water Ninjutsu skill, so he rolls 34 dice with Water Whip (which may be modified by Chakra Boosting at the scaled value).

On the other hand, Syrup Trap is a debuff that scales not only on Water Ninjutsu but also Tac Move, so it will have a much lower scalar -- something like .5-.7x, leading to rolling between 17 and 23 + Tac Move dice with it.

Thing is, the Sage as described doesn't seem to fit with being the creator of the summons. They're ninjutsu wielders and their creation likely involved ninjutsu. The constant war seems more along the lines of Dummy's philosophy. Sealing is involved because somebody made those immensely sophisticated ageless greater artifacts for each species, presumably during their creation, and yet sealing is banned for them. -and then what's with the outrage over the Mori voice?
