You mean like Lesser Barrier Formation?
Lesser Barrier Formation triggers seals to activate. You're proposing a seal analyze another seal. Kagome probably shrieked when he first learned of the former, imagine how he'll react to the latter.
EJ and I said something similar in the QM chat almost simultaneously, actually.
Predicting Yujin was Jiraiya made us a lot more willing to trust him?Something I noticed: The main reason reason y'all suspected Kabuto was due to OOC knowledge, not because he was kinda-sorta manipulative that one time.
Sincere question: Has relying on meta-knowledge ever worked out well? I'm trying to think of an example and coming up empty.

You have the opportunity to offer Jiraiya some last words, or request that he pass on messages for you. How will you use it, if at all?
Wow Velorien, you're even unintentionally trolling people.*Notices Update*

Oh.

Inoue-sensei can't see how you could have avoided having to leave Leaf in a hurry. If Hazō had understood exactly what he'd done wrong, he'd probably have retained a lot more of Jiraiya's trust and goodwill, but she doesn't know if it would have been enough to prevent the punishment they received.@eaglejarl, @Velorien, @OliWhail, now that this arc is resolved (mostly), I am curious whether we could have handled this last conversation better, with a better outcome for the Nakama. For example, had Hazou been more accurate about what he did wrong --- essentially recapping Inoue's explanation --- would that have been better or worse?
(If you don't want to give OOC information, it could be framed as Inoue speculating on the matter.)
something something Mari already told Jiraiya that she hasn't had the chance to train Hazou in politics something somethingInoue-sensei can't see how you could have avoided having to leave Leaf in a hurry. Well Youthgate 2.0 is over. That was disappointingly easy compared to going shopping.

I will make the point that Kagome seems to find seal research relaxing, if stressful. Our first priority here needs to be destressing.
Everyone is understandably traumatised by what just went down, especially Kei and Kagome. We need to repair that damage before we do anything remotely risky.
I suggest going off to a beach town and relaxing there for a month or two, untill everyone has their heads back in the game. No seal research. Only occasional training. Plenty of leisure.
Once people are emotionally recovered, then we can do whatever else.
Alright.
Seal Analysis Seal
A research tool. When connected to another seal, it displays text explaining what that seal does. This will improve the process of inventing seals by allowing Hazou to detect subtle problems in his work that would otherwise require more extensive testing. Will also allow ethical research of seals that affect human targets, by analysing to see if they do what they're supposed to without actually subjecting human test subjects to a chance of seal failure.
Fusion Seals
What do Dragonball, Steven Universe, and now MfD, have in common? Put one seal tag of the pair on each person and activate. The two people get merged together into one person with the summed stats of both. Removing the tags from the fusion splits it back into it's constituent parts, who retain their memories of being fused.
With dying, probably.
Yes. Accidentally. Definitely no malicious intent behind that choice of title. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Wasn't that in defiance of metaknowledge? There were voices saying that Kabuto might just be a goodie two shoe Leaf nin.
Literally the very first decision the hivemind made during chargen. "Let's be running from Mist into Fire."You say that, but I'm having a hard time coming up with an example where we did rely explicitly on meta-knowledge for something.
That could just be my memory though.
