Lesser Barrier Formation triggers seals to activate. You're proposing a seal analyze another seal. Kagome probably shrieked when he first learned of the former, imagine how he'll react to the latter.
@eaglejarl, @Velorien, @OliWhail, now that this arc is resolved (mostly), I am curious whether we could have handled this last conversation better, with a better outcome for the Nakama. For example, had Hazou been more accurate about what he did wrong --- essentially recapping Inoue's explanation --- would that have been better or worse?

Something I noticed: The main reason reason y'all suspected Kabuto was due to OOC knowledge, not because he was kinda-sorta manipulative that one time.

Inoue-sensei can't see how you could have avoided having to leave Leaf in a hurry. If Hazō had understood exactly what he'd done wrong, he'd probably have retained a lot more of Jiraiya's trust and goodwill, but she doesn't know if it would have been enough to prevent the punishment they received.

Everyone is understandably traumatised by what just went down, especially Kei and Kagome. We need to repair that damage before we do anything remotely risky.
I suggest going off to a beach town and relaxing there for a month or two, until everyone has their heads back in the game. No seal research. Only occasional training. Plenty of leisure.
Once people are emotionally recovered, then we can do whatever else.

Ah that's a shame. I think we probably could've guessed at it, but we didn't really want to spout off political guesses while Jiraiya stood in front of us ready to kill us. Oh well, at least we're not dead!

Actually, the first priority is getting far away from Fire and making sure that no Leaf splinter groups or third parties follow us.
Not really sure what would be a good route for us to take though and where.
By getting more Sealing levels, duh.
These aren't short, or even mid term proposals.
