[X] Action Plan: Special Lung-Collapsing Seal
[x] Interlude: Gouketsu Hazou's 15th Birthday
[x] Interlude: Gouketsu Hazou's 15th Birthday
I came up with the "remove curse" thing, but I consider it a risky move that should be carefully discussed before being implemented. I haven't seen that kind of discussion.
[X] Action Plan: Keiko Becomes Religious (Not Clickbait!)
Word Count: 296
- Offscreen:
- Check if Tsuande minds us using her reputation as a medic to sway Isan - specifically offering training/sharing of medical techniques. If not, what can we promise - if anything? (Clinics, access to services?)
- Give Keiko Yoshida's proposal. Kagome and Asuma haven't permitted anything yet. Ask how she feels we should respond.
- [-1 FP] Keiko stores slain beasts for later use. Can Hazou have them to feed Leaf citizens?
- Team meeting:
- We want to lift the curse on Yuno.
- This mitigates her social stigma. Potentially courts other cursed individuals.
- Contract and summon a Pangolin cleric to perform ritual purification.
- Craft ceremony informed by both Isanese and Pangolin traditions.
- Plan and revise carefully to avoid faux pas. Ask Yuno, Mari, Keiko, Takahashi.
- Perform ceremony as publicly as is sensible.
- Arrange for rumors to spread if not wise to do so publicly.
- Meet with Kannagi:
- Roll into the ceremony if team agrees it's wise.
- Thank the Kannagi for caring for the previously cursed Yuno, and for hosting the Isan crew as honored guests.
- Their devotion to Isan and Ui's legacy (subtext: Keiko, Leaf) deserves recognition.
- Keiko has ideas but knows too little about them to select the most appropriate offering.
- Her ability to recognize them is limited by the lack of formal relations between Isan and Leaf, but she will do her best with the resources available to her as a powerful figure in Leaf's politics and the Pangolin summoner.
- Subtext: courting them for a Leaf alliance.
- It has been an honor to fight alongside Kannagi nin in her hunts.
- Express appropriate sorrow for their fallen.
- Keiko would not wish anything, or anyone, to bring harm to a clan she is now bonded to through Yuno's marriage.
- Subtext: That includes Azai, who Keiko has been told sees the Kannagi unfavorably.
I think that the plan as currently written (quote below) does a good job of discussing it - at least, IC. Fairly-significant tweaks were made; the plan is essentially 'planning session with team to talk about curse-removal' as well as 'meet with the Kannagi'. I would add a line about executing on the ceremony if the team thinks it's wise for the sake of efficiency, personally - I trust the collective wisdom of Yuno, Mari, Keiko, and Takahashi given that they stopped the last plan that would have gone south in a big way.
I think it's a safe plan to vote for, at any rate.
I agree, but I also don't think we should have the QMs actually have to design an entire religion and social structure so that we can scrutinize it and figure out minutiae to take advantage of. Voting in a plan, then essentially adding an asterisk saying "don't do this if it's irreconcilable with the unseen reality, instead do the closest adjacent thing" seems like a pretty fair compromise to me.
So, like, expand on telling Keiko?Additionally, I'd like to reiterate - Velorien has indicated he doesn't want to write Kagome, so I'd suggest modifying the other plan to include a discussion with someone else. Perhaps Keiko, re: the Yoshida deal and whatnot, or something like that.
Yeah. The scene could go in other directions too, such as what kind of endgame Keiko is expecting with Isan. Fighting the High Priest or what, etc. Discussing the Pangolins and the Dragonwar even.
Thanks, will try to add.Yeah. The scene could go in other directions too, such as what kind of endgame Keiko is expecting with Isan. Fighting the High Priest or what, etc. Discussing the Pangolins and the Dragonwar even.
"A pity," Keiko said, starting to calm down. "I would gladly pass on the crown of the most complicated relationship in the Elemental Nations. Well, I suppose congratulations are in order, tempered by the fact that I owe Mari a bottle from the Nara special reserve. Shikamaru will not be best pleased. I hope the four of you enjoy a healthy and fulfilling relationship. I am contractually obliged to inform you that if you, by action or inaction, harm my sister-in-law in your capacity as her boyfriend, I will be obliged to take grim vengeance such as would make the impact of the Great Seal seem like a gentle breeze. She, naturally, will be receiving a similar warning in regard to my siblings."
Hazō's life was heavy in her hand [...] Keiko, the soulmate who'd passed him by like a ship in the night. Akane, the beloved apprentice, alternating between human and divine. Kagome, the mentor to be both respected and rescued. So many lesser connections, to be awakened like Ino's or rejected like Shin's.
Change this line to some variation of "if yes, seek Keiko's approval, and then Asuma's" and you'll get my voteIf yes: (Offscreen) Get Asuma's permission to accept, then inform Keiko.

This work? @ShroomsReposted from Shrooms. @Eisenhelm This is the plan you want I believe, but since stuff doesn't carry over you need to vote for this plan or add the actual plan to your vote.
[X] Action Plan: Special Lung-Collapsing Seal
Word Count: <300
- Keiko: Tell her about the Yoshida's proposal. Discuss, make counteroffers if possible...
- Ask her about her endgame with Isan. Hazou's onboard with overthrowing Shusuke, but he's not sure how far we need to go (insert joke). What about you?
- Kagome
- Hazou had the idea of sending Hornets armed with implosion seals near the chests or even into the maws of Dragons, to instantly destroy their lungs.
- Does Kagome think this would work? Would he be willing to share implosion seals for others to use?
- Hazou also considered a stronger Banshee Fucker seal to rupture their organs, how much harder would it be to increase how loud the seals are?
- Would a Dragon eating a Seal grant them abilities from the Seal?
- Does Kagome know of any other potential weaknesses the Dragons may have? If the Sage sealed them away instead of killing them, it seems like they gave even him trouble.
- Is there a way to put them back in the Great Seal?
- ...Did Hazou cause this by giving the Pangolins seals, or was it the Akatsuki ritual or something?
- Do we have your permission to accept the Yoshida proposal?
- If yes: (Offscreen) Get Asuma's permission to accept.
- Dragonwar Combat Crew
- Ask summon representatives how clan bosses feel about personally engaging Dragons, ideally ganging up on one Dragon at a time. Kumokogo implied anything less than a boss wouldn't matter much.
- Ask about relations with neighbors. Do present clans have allies who aren't present that could join the war effort?
- Nekkar implied the Dragons aren't the greatest threat. Is Nekkar trolling or is there more to it?
- Dragonwar Great Seal Crew
- Explain logic behind Harumitsu's Outstanding World-Saving Seal
- As a group, research as quickly as possible.
- Mass produce when ready
To be clear, I was mostly suggesting cutting the Kagome conversation and saving it for an EJ update.
You actually already voted for itChange this line to some variation of "if yes, seek Keiko's approval, and then Asuma's" and you'll get my vote
That's a big part of the plan, though...To be clear, I was mostly suggesting cutting the Kagome conversation and saving it for an EJ update.
Yeah that's sort of my problem with it
I'm okay with this, provided that Vel has something he'd like to write and that giving him free reign would be spoon-positive... because I could easily see how suddenly pushing the onus onto his shoulders completely could be both bewildering and stressful.
