EJ's polyq update convinced me to sail aboard the Hazou-Ino-Akane ship --provided Akane is comfortable with that dynamic.
If Hazou and Ino get married I have no qualms with additions to their relationship as long as the initial pairing stays solid.

Can we do the thing we did with the chocolate? Where we didn't specify Leaf ryo?
And deny the thread its absolute favorite pastime of bookkeeping that we definitely do all the time with no errors? How will we fulfill the QM's needs for maintaining an excruciatingly detailed models of medieval-ish economies if we don't have numbers, sources of revenue, and operational costs to constantly question and argue about?

Think of the Loss of Pedantry!

Friendly reminder that we're paying R2,000,000/month to the Hagoromo for the Election stuff. Can we use this bond subtly or overtly to influence them on the concubine laws?

I'd vote for a plan like that, provided Mari and Keiko were involved. Keiko seems to have her own scheme going on, and I wouldn't want to accidentally mess it up.

Agreed.

I'm going to vote for any reasonable plan that organize a meeting with Akane. To clarify, not "do it in this voting plan", but organize/notify Akane Hazou is ready to talk/ect... so that at least Hazou doesn't willfully ignore the situation until it explodes.

I'll throw in a vote if it (tactfully) asks Akane about her feelings on an interconnected, multi-party relationship between her, Ino, and Hazou.

So...are we going to leave it to the Hazou pilot or we going to decide on it in some way? I'm confused
I see it more that Hazou, in-character, confessed to feeling a personal stake in the Nara vote, beyond his familial obligations to Keiko. He said this to Ino, in a romantic context, before asking her to spend time with Akane. I know we added that part, but the timing (and the fact that the QMs could have just as easily ignored that part, if it went against their desires) makes it clear that Hazou, as a character, is at least open to a multi-party relationship, but (seemingly) only if it's interconnected in some way (or, at least, if everyone agrees and gets along with each other).

Hazou has come a long way from the boy who didn't realize that he was dumped, and I believe that there's no chance that he, a student of Mari, failed to realize the obvious implications of his words.

So, I would say that it'd be reasonable for Hazou to make sure Akane would be comfortable with such a dynamic before deciding (one way or another) on that path.

That said, I'd still vote for a plan that had something to the effect of "Hazou responds to Akane's answer [about her feelings on an interconnected polygon] compassionately, but otherwise on Hazou-pilot."

@Shrooms
Would you mind following up with Ino on the quest we requested?

How so? Also, I doubt it would get screentime tbh, the QMs can only cover so much in a plan. That's the sort of thing I'd like to be the narrative focus, personally, so I'd like to see it as the first bullet of a plan for Vel's next update rather than trying to tack it on here

Mostly just keeping it in the collective threadconsciousness.

Corollary: If what she wants to talk to us about is time sensitive, we might be out at the mine. So dropping her a line about that seems polite.

Maybe leave a Pangolin summon on the estate, just in case? Keiko regularly tries to summon it (every hour or two?). If Ino goes there looking for us, Pangolin dispels itself and is then resummoned by Keiko during the next summoning attempt and it passes along the message.

No one's just walking up to each other's estates, they're gonna do what everyone's already been doing and arrange a meeting, which Gaku can process while we're gone and inform us someone wants to meet when we get back.

Updated my Lists to include a "general voting preferences" if anyone ever wants to take a cursory glance at what might earn my vote.

I'm afraid we're an ochlocracy here, so you don't have veto powers. If the Thread decides you're to be its dictator, you'll have no choice but to take the job.

[X] Make Lailoken Supreme Dictator of the Hivemind

I have no idea how I ended up tasked with inventing anarchic totalitarianism, yet I am certain that it can only end in tears...

"Your farmer's market co-op has too much hierarchy! You are sentenced to shunning until you complete six weeks in the voluntary gulag!"
"Defund the ANBU!"

Y'know, Ami doesn't have to defect to Leaf.

She could marry in. In fact, under the new laws she could now just mistress in, which she might well prefer given her desire for independence.

The voting clan Goeketsu could become a precedent-setting lifeline between vital new allies during a dreadfully unstable time with the very first intervillage relationship. It might even be possible to rope Sand into it. Do we know anybody in Sand who might be interested?

Also, there appear to be two unassigned summoning scrolls. It might be wise to make some recommendations to Asuma. The trade network gets more valuable on the human side with distance, and given their current military capacity Sand would likely pay through the nose for a summoner while still being grateful. On top of that, the Wakahisa are the third richest clan in Mist and have a bit of a complex about being considered rear echelon instead of combat, plus, there might be quite a few Mist powers who would like an alternative and counterbalance if the Mori were perceived as suddenly having gained international influence. That would also be extremely inconvenient to the Mori leadership, which is good for Keiko and thus something to bring up with Ami.

Also, periodic reminder about the student exchange program and Noburi getting to see his sisters again.
