Oh crap, I forgot tomorrow's Saturday since it updated today...
Can we have a few-hours extension,
@eaglejarl?
How do Goketsu clan economy works?
Do civilians that earn money contribute to the Goketsu household budget?
[X] Action Plan: Operation Uplift
Invite Akane to a romantic date.
Talk to Tsunade:
- One million ryo donation, delivered quietly, to her charity.
- Schedule a conversation with Tsunade at her convenience.
- Goketsu Clan will be matching all Till'n'Fill missions and sending volunteer teachers. Would be great to coordinate this with doctor's visit.
- Proposal: Develop tool and techniques for civilian doctors
- Ninja medicine is the most effective in the EN, but unfortunately not available to civilians.
- Will be harder, but not impossible. Goketsu's secret military project involving only civilians is proof of concept.
- Advice for Goketsu clinic?
- If Tsunade never name her charity effort: call it "Doctors Without Borders".
Contest:
- Make sure that things get submitted, including skyslider.
- Invite the skyslider team to a dinner to celebrate all of their progress and contributions.
Engineering:
- Review projects. See where they are at. (Skyslider, aqueduct, sewer, toilet)
- Skyslider is state secret. Impress the engineers the grave importance of keeping it secret.
- Aqueduct. If it's at stage 'ready' for punching and clearing land. Do that.
One line for inviting Akane on a romantic date, immediately after resolving to have a Serious Discussion with her??? Other than that, seems good. Prefer the other plans, though.
[X] Action plan: Summoning Scroll Squad
Run everything by the clan. Make sure Mari and Noburi are onboard
- Meet with Asuma: Hazou would like to discuss 2 clan secrets with Asuma
- The seal arrays at Nagi Island are a gold mine
- there is a member of team uplift that has an ability that would allow leaf to obtain a copy of those arrays
- If Asuma can help get us close enough we can get him a copy of the arrays
- The second one involves Noburi and Summoning
- After making the deal with Yasuji Hazou has been thinking of ways to exploit excess chakra
- With Noburi's ability to transfer chakra and a chakra farm he can refill any summoner that has an embassy with the toads or vice versa
- This would let every summoner have full access to every summon at any time without lowering there Chakra reserves
- We saw how effective this strategy was during the chunnin exam
- Team Goketsu ran a train on everyone
- Now Imagine multiple summoners doing that
- With even more and stronger summons
- Of course it would be a trick that would be available to the Hokage
- But it would be easier for members of Goketsu
- In light of that we would like to petition for the porcupine scroll to be assigned to Goketsu
I have quibbles regarding the whole "porcupine to Gouketsu" thing, but they're covered by the checking thing by Mari thing. I would suggest figuring out other boons you'd like, if Mari says nope to that one. Maybe suggest the alternative of having a jounin with us on our next summon scroll hunt?
[X] Action plan: Summoning Scroll Squad
[X] Action Plan: Blowing Up Steam
- Go punch some nearby chakra monsters. See if there's a mission doing that if the location is close to Konoha, otherwise go to the Forest of Death to do it.
- Obviously tell the clan we're doing this, and that we'll back off if things get dangerous. Otherwise, go ahead and punch away our stress.
- Maybe we can invite Lee and make a competition out of it? Surely chakra monster meat can be worth some food for the Church of Youth to use?
Not really a fan of this one, tbh, for reasons shared by others (not much content, punching for punching's sake, etc.), but I realize it was thrown up just to get a plan out there.
[x] Action Plan: The Real Essie was Out All Along
Word count: 394
- Group meeting: Mari, Kagome, Noburi, Akane, Yuno, Haru. Security: high.
- Introduction:
- Team Uplift's goal is to dramatically improve the living conditions of everyone in the world. So far, we've been focused on opposing and reshaping our civilization's self-destructive systems. That remains the main priority.
- But, as several recent events showed, the problem runs deeper: reality itself is fragile. Pain's plan was world-ending. Whatever his intentions were, the fact that a world-altering event on this scale can actually happen is terrifying. For you, it threw into stark relief some of the fundamental truths glimpsed by Sealing.
- The truth is, deliberate human actions aren't even necessary. Reality is keen on tearing itself apart on its own. The damage from that is often catastrophic, and could be arbitrarily large. Worse still are the things that lurk outside, and occasionally seep through these tears: horrors of unfathomable power and malice, some of which can casually snuff out our entire universe.
- It's a terrible truth. We're meant to be cowed by it, stuck helpless with fear — the same way we're meant to be resigned to the EN's system of violence. As far as you're concerned, that is merely more of the same: another terrible thing we'll need to eventually fix.
- And while directly working on it is far above our current pay grade, it doesn't mean we can't gather information.
- We have a large selection of leads we could pursue, but we should focus on the most salient one: Pain.
- Points of discussion:
- Pain/Rinnegan's nature and powers.
- The ritual's purpose.
- "The Five, still sealed after a thousand years of sacrifice".
- The fate of the lost bijuu.
- The bird summon — an archaeopteryx?
- Provide Kagome with the detailed description of the ritual site, ask for his analysis.
- Yuno: If you're right, this stuff goes back centuries. Anything relevant in Isan's cultural knowledge?
- Meet with Asuma (clear/improve with Mari and Kagome):
- First: The sealing arrays at Nagi are a research goldmine. If Asuma could get us a short visit there, we'll be able to get them for Leaf.
- (Obfuscate the method of copying: request that Hazou, Kagome, and Mari were sent.)
- Second: You estimatethat Kagome's in for several years of full-time decoding. He's already aware of the Shadow Clones' existence. Would Asuma be willing to authorize teaching him?
- (Only do if Kagome's interested in learning SC.)
@eaglejarl, is it too much content for one plan? I'm counting three scenes, but the second one might be fairly long...
Yes.
[x] Action Plan: The Real Essie was Out All Along
[X] Action Plan: Building Momentum
Word Count: 148
- Talk with Asuma (after clearing with clan)
- A member of Clan Gouketsu has a method to perfectly store a given seal. It would be useful to go to Nagi Island and copy Akatsuki's sealing array.
- This is a secret that Jiraiya told us to keep under wraps, but it's too valuable to Leaf not to explain. If a summoner on a mission sets up an embassy with the Toads, it's possible they can refuel their chakra with Noburi's water.
- Violence Therapy
- Grab Noburi, Yuno, Lee, and anyone else who wants to come along and murder some chakra beasts.
- Murder some chakra beasts to clear space for the planned aqueduct.
- Closing Ceremony
- By the end of the contest, submit:
- All of Jiraiya's decoded seal notes, Elemental chakra nature training.
- Any skyslider progress.
- <???>
- If we win, our preference over prizes is (check with clan):
- Dog Scroll
- Land
- Stipend
- Jutsu
- Clan-expansion
Eager to change the preference over prizes, this is just my first pass. Also fine with replacing the Violence Therapy scene with something else, I'm not terribly attached to it. Would like it if people suggested more things we could give to the contest.
Dislike the preferences thing. It'd be fine if more people had participated in this plan cycle, but as it is it gets a pass for me because of that. Sorry.
