Can we donate to Tsunade in salt? We can try to use clean money for the rest of our dealings.
I'm not sure. I'll help iron out Ino + Chouza stuff as it comes up tho.
"Clean money" ?Can we donate to Tsunade in salt? We can try to use clean money for the rest of our dealings.
The bullets feel a bit redundant since we're doing the meeting later. Maybe we could combine it or something?Prepare for the meetings with Ino, Chouza, Asuma, Shino, Minami.
- Express condolences for their losses.
- If appropriate, touch on politics. What sort of Hokage would they want?
Dinner was eaten. Hayashi and Katō had been ushered out amidst much polite bowing and words of gratitude and friendship. Dishes were put away. Everyone was sprawled over various pieces of furniture in the common room, except for Kenta and Yukari, who could at most be considered to be 'sitting very close together' instead of even 'cuddling', much less 'sprawling' on the loveseat. It was time for the announcement.
You know, money we get from assassinations and theft. As opposed to industry, which is frowned upon.
Sure. I just deleted the sub-bullets in the part you quoted. The bullets feel a bit redundant since we're doing the meeting later. Maybe we could combine it or something?
Done.Re: The Ino/Chouza thing, I would suggest asking Ino if she thinks Chouza would like to collaborate on a memorial service or shrine.
I'm pretty sure that Sasuke could override the civilian guy on things without much effort. It seems like a good idea since even though he isn't sitting on the seat himself, his regent should take him into consideration by this point,
Maybe do that in combination with Mari's thing so it doesn't seem like it's undue.I'm pretty sure that Sasuke could override the civilian guy on things without much effort.
"Sure, we wouldn't say no to help, but if you guys get hurt that's pretty bad, whereas clones... just kind of aren't important," Noburi explained with a shrug to the inquisitive crew sitting in the shade as he passed out cool water from his pack of storage seals. His clones were hard at work driving loop-ended nails into the trunk so it could be looped into the pulleys the lumberjacks had brought along and raised up so a Force Wall could be set under it.
"Ah, um, I see, thank you for indulging my foolish question honorable mister ninja, sir," the crewmember who'd spoken up responded. "Forgive me, I've never seen such a thing up close."
"Don't be thanking me just yet, those guys only last a little while. All of us are going to need to get in there and sweat before the day's out. In the meantime, can I interest you in some of my mother's chilled mint tea?"
Ooh! Slightly unethical but hey ninja politics.
What if we used our civvie connections to compile reports on political opponents hurting civvies? Its supposedly enough to instantly killbox leaf ninja right? If ISC+G came forward together with those reports and a goal to reform civvie relations under Asuma it would be really hard for the moderates to vote for Hyuga without massive face backlash.
We should tell Asuma that Tsunade's vote can be secured by promising funding for medical education and R&D. Promising it to Tsunade first will keep Hiashi from flipping her by promising it. We can sell it as good public policy that's worth doing in any case, so it's not even really a bribe.
Maybe do that in combination with Mari's thing so it doesn't seem like it's undue.
@Noumero I haven't been paying attention much to breaking EM and so don't know exactly what this is talking about, but would it be appropriate to add a further discussion on this to the plan?"Actually...I had a thought about that," Hazō began. "If you cool things enough—
Maybe mention the possibility of using the Seventh Path to sell these goods for gold/other valuables, and then taking that stuff to sell in the EN for ryo."No sidetracking, Mr Mew!" Noburi said. "We're already off track; we started with politics and now we're talking about money. And loading all of that salt sounds time-intensive. Is it really the most profitable use of our time? Sure, we could hire civilians to do it, but one of us would still need to stay to protect them. And we'd need to explain where the salt was coming from to the Merchant Council, or sell outside the city to places too small to have a Merchant Council. Which means places that don't have a lot of hard cash to pay with, so actually selling it will be time consuming and low-throughput. Unless we sell outside of Fire entirely, in which case our 'treasonous missing-nin' history makes us look pretty bad."

No. OPSEC!I haven't been paying attention much to breaking EM and so don't know exactly what this is talking about, but would it be appropriate to add a further discussion on this to the plan?
Having more support will probably keep things more stable after the vote, too. Always a plus. That was always my intention suggesting it. Basically trying to work the Uchiha on two fronts, since if we can turn them the vote becomes that much more likely to be in our favor.
Wait... If all the land belongs to the Kage... couldn't we use that quite easily? We demonstrate to Asuma that we are willing and able to clear huge tracts of land. He can start making promises of arable land to be delivered if he wins, and we wait until the votes are in to start full scale clearing.
