That is silly. We already know that Naruto will not approve it the first time we meet him, due to, well, time travel.
Either our plan includes adopting them or it doesn't. As is it is mostly a waste of word count.

For all that I've railed against it, I'd support it if Naruto said it was a workable idea. I'm not expecting him to, but if it happened I'd be all over getting another Summoning scroll.

Possibly? I've been thoroughly unconvinced by the arguments in-thread that we can use Jiraiya's statement as a blank check - I think they're fundamentally failing to model everyone we'd have to convince, compared to people in-thread who buy into Uplift as a good thing - but if Naruto, who's familiar with all of the rules and politics in Leaf, goes "huh, that might work actually" I'd obviously be wrong. If we had in-universe confirmation that it's workable I'd be totally on board - I just think we're not going to get that.

Fleshing this out a bit more in a rough draft suggestion sorta way:
- Idea: Keiko advocates a Pangolin-Snake-Toad alliance conditional on the Snakes backing a Gouketsu Summoner.
- Coupled with existing allies, the resulting alliance would be nigh-unstoppable, especially with support from our seals being sold (possibly also to the Toads/Snakes).
- Bonus: Inroads with the Snakes/Toads as a result of gaining those scrolls would give us more avenues to pressure them into changing the treatment of their captive territories.

So this doesn't get forgotten in the near future, does anyone want to take it on? I currently have the spoons for it, but not a great memory of the conversation/ posts asking these questions, so I figure I'd see if anyone with a better grasp for it is able. If not, I can do it.

How far back are we collecting? Everything since the last chapter or also stuff from after the second to last?
Edit: I have even less of a memory for it though. In fact I haven't even read most of the comments. I would literally have to skim the last 10+ pages for things that look like QM directed questions.

I like the latter idea because it actually leverages our unique advantages over everyone else in Leaf - namely that we have two Summoners whose clans are allied, and can therefore project a lot of power onto the Seventh Path. The snakes might not accept our deal, but they will most certainly hear us out.
On the same note, it makes sense to swing a vote by offering a clan the Snake Scroll alongside summoner training and political assistance on the Seventh Path. Again, we're in the unique position to actually deliver on this, and I suspect the Uchiha might actually go for it.

I'd prefer we try out other options before handing the Snake scroll off. Quite honestly, if they have some of Orochimaru's bullshit sealless "Shed skin I'm now a new body with no wound" no jutsu stuff, that would be super duper duper powerful.
(Also the hattrick is appealing to me on a meta-level.)
I have been convinced that SUDDEN HAZOU INTERRUPTUS at this moment in time likely isn't the best way to go about acquiring the thing though. We can figure out whether we need to use it as a bargaining chip or not after strenghtening our claim.
