If you remind me this eve I will fix them. We are right on the razor's edge of running the official simulation for the Battle of the Gods and I don't have much head space for other things.

(Note that it's not "Battle of the Gods 2", as the original was the "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" :p)

Ah, wait, thats not how the Rasengan works...

Noburi just found his next project.

E: It probably just results in punching cancer into someone, but hey, could still be useful...
Even a Standard action "Punch of Super Healing" would be mega useful TBH.

You can worry about the cancer once your meatbag is no longer leaking a buttload of vitality juice or unable to move because it got Calcium Crushed or one of its mini drug factories got shut down by the chakra deathworld equivalent of the FDA kicking the door down with a SWAT team in tow.

I like the image of the FDA leading the charge there, with the poor SWAT officers trailing in afterward futilely attempting to hold the FDA official backward with a chain...

Riiiiight...anyway. I'm sure Noburi is intelligent to read through Hazou's Hazou-ness.

If the Sannin come back, there's a great many projects they could accomplish together... Orochimaru's biosealing expertise, Tsunade's medical expertise, and Jiraiya's general sealing expertise could do very impressive things together.

[X] Training Hazou: Chakra with a touch of feelings

Rationale : we have expressed a desire to increase Empathy in the past, I feel if we don't commit to it now, we're collectively more likely to not commit to raising Empathy in the future.

Counter point: if J is dead and Hiashi isn't, empathy wouldn't be a thing we need, because it certainly isn't a thing he has. Also, touch of feelings doesn't include the 12 chakra from the most recent update, chakra boost does.

On the other hand, we'll almost certainly accumulate enough XP to buy one more point of CR on its own before Hiashi can physically make it back to Leaf and begin to screw over clan Goketsu (especially with the extra 12). In that interim period, more Empathy might be useful to frantically ally with the proxy leaders of the clan (or will at least affect characterization positively).

The "almost certainly" description leaving room for doubt aside, we were ordered to make no alliances or other long-term dealings as acting leaders, and any other acting leaders will certainly be under similar instructions. I don't see "positive characterization" among a bunch of freshly-promoted Chunin as something that will materially alter our fate in the worst-case scenario.

The Leaf strikeforce is being assembled by Shikaku on short notice after a Sand messenger brings him the news of Gaara's kidnapping, and this informs the context of who'll they'll be bringing with them.

I find it decently likely Shikaku knows about Orochimaru, but I also think that Shikaku bringing Orochimaru into the squad would involve quite a few hurdles:
  • Getting Orochimaru to agree. Might not be a problem, but also might. Orochimaru might demand concessions.
  • Getting everyone else to accept it. Most of the rest of the strike force probably don't know Orochimaru was there, and to suddenly hear that a reviled missing-nin S-ranker is now your teammate is bound to cause problems.
  • Team cohesion. Everyone's going to be watching out for Orochimaru to betray them, and plotting how to strike back in turn. These machinations detract from the strike force's overall ability to coordinate properly.
So it's not totally against Orochimaru being there, he's still an S-ranker which means he's got a lot of firepower to add, but I can easily see Shikaku deciding the other way.

An idle thought occurred to me;

If Noburi were willing to let Tsunade examine what the Wakahisa surgery did to his chakra pathways in detail, she might be able to learn some things and apply her own knowledge to find ways of making it a bit more efficient.

I dunno. They're elite ninja, I'd be surprised if it bothered them THAT much. Also, I assume that the team in question will be Jiraiya/Orochimaru/Tsunade for the main strike team.

If the Orochimaru being part of the main strike force is that big a deal, maybe Jiraiya could put him on assassination/rescue duty?
