[x] Poll: Learn to tolerate Ren
@faflec regardless this won't be our decision. We are basically just letting Jiraiya know that we are willing to play ball with Ren. If he thinks it's a good idea he will do it. If he doesn't no big lose. This is our last chance to patch things up with the Kurosawa. I really don't want to throw it away
To "make up", there must be an understanding, currently the Kurosawa undersranding is "Fuck Hana and her family, who cares?"
This is not making up, is foolishly trying to please someone that doesn't care about your PoV
Being an asshole and treating her as if Hana's estrangement with Kurosawa's was Ren's fault, basically. 'Waaah I wanna invite all the Kages except for Ren for boardgames.'
Of course Hazou has first to realise this was wrong, and be sorry for it, which is why I said he needs to grow up first.
But...it is?
The only reason the clan could push Hana out of the clan was because of Ren.
Even if it would have done it regardless, Ren practically rolled with it, cutting all contact and help until it suited her to mend the bridges with Hana.
If you read the interlude, Ren ask for forgivness, not understanding IIRC: she knows she's doing something shitty, even if it is simply abandoning her sister instead of directly stabbing her in the back.
The priority is clear. She stands with her clan.
See Ami for the opposite, she doesn't go to war with the Mori, but uses her power to protect Keiko, she doesn't go "Too bad, so sad" when the elders say something.
Note how Hana treats Ren knowing the situation,it's not "poor Ren" is "You made your choice"
A choice that she kept making.
When Hana was exiled, Ren was nowhere to be seen.
When Shinji died, Ren was nowhere to be seen.(But it was there to sneakily trying to take his son, because the clan is more important than
even explaning why you think Hazou would be better with you)
When Hazou disappeared, Ren was nowhere to be seen.
It needed Hazou doing the impossible and making so that the clan interested aligned completely with hers to try and help Hana in the most manipulative way possible.
Family is more than "Don't explicitly stab me in the back and it's not your fault", this is why Hazou said "we're family" to Keiko and Noburi.
This, of course, doesn't mean it wasn't a shitty situation, but Ren is absolutely responsible, in part, for this.
