They got version 2.For this project, things are made easier if the Nara reverse engineered macerators. I can't remember if they worked out version 1 or 2, though. If they know 2,
What now?
I think the idea was to make a version of 5SB that makes use of fewer supporting seals, thus 'weakening' the 5SB'd object enough for it to move?
Oh right, that was another idea that was thrown out in the thread at some point, my mistake.Nope. As I understand, skywalkers don't move either? They appear for just long enough to push off of, then turn off. Wait, did Kagome alter air domes to be freely movable?
I believe the reasoning is that telescopes help a lot with scouting and combine really well with skywalkers/Skytowers. Also, genjutsu is line of sight, so if you can see an enemy's eyes from a mile away through a telescope you may be able to cast a genjutsu on them. Illusion sniping.Though I could be convinced, I suppose? I'm pretty sure the initial "telescope fever" the hivemind apparently went through was well before I stumbled into hivemind-citizenship.
Regarding skygliders, can anyone link me to an estimate of how much skywalker time they save? I tried an estimate; something like: let's say a modern glider let's you glide for 1 hour before reaching the ground if you start from 300m. Assume EN gliders are 10% as efficient without modern materials or engineering. So a ninja walks up 300m, glides for 6 minutes, then walks up 300m again. If walking up takes 6 minutes, this saves 50% skywalker time. Does that sound right? A different estimate takes advantage of gliders to go faster than the default 20mph ninja running speed. On a glider, activate an air dome and kick back as hard as you can to push yourself forward. You'll speed up until you're going so fast that you won't have time to kick before the air dome rips your leg off(it remains still relative to your speed). Using this technique, I think the max speed is around 80mph, or a ~4x speed/skywalker time boost. Am I in the right ball park? If you had the right mechanism, you could do more than kick off of an air dome unmoving relative to you, but you'd need to convert force going in the exact opposite direction into a useful form(kind of like those rubber band, propeller balsa planes).

The true reason is so that we can finally recruit the Telescope Merchant to the party, thereby fulfilling Prophecies Moste Ancient and increasing our powerlevels with the XP gained from closing off this holy quest.
Incidentally, can we hunt down the Telescope Merchant on the way to Mist or on the way back? Telescopes seem like theyd be a good submission, since pairing them with Skytowers gives reallllly good far range scouting....
Every clan have at least one telescope. However, it is apparently expensive, and Konoha don't have a native source. Like I kept saying, we should really recruit the telescope merchant and his family.
Well, we're going outside the village soon; might as well.
He's leaving Keiko's Fan Clubs in his wake. Tracking him down is as easy as mapping them out, then extrapolating his path."And of course," Tobikomi said as he left, "I will be sure to spread the word about the loveliness of the Hokage's little girl wherever I go. No extra charge."
Perhaps this is the real reason Keiko, Naruto, and Ami left on that mission. Not to hunt down and kill the Condor Summoner, but to hunt down and kill the founder of the many Keiko Fan Clubs.Well, we're going outside the village soon; might as well.
Last we saw, Jiraiya sent him on a long journey to collect some unspecified "samples", which would make him difficult to find... but not all is lost!

Grumble, grumble.[...]That is, for every 12 meters traveled, we lost one meter in altitude. [...]
[...] For every four feet traveled, one feet of altitude is lost.
Aren't you eager to write the scene where our engineers have to redo all the math because they're using the wrong lord's foot, and have to take Hazou's measurements?

Though I feel you in a general way in this instance you don't have that much to complain about. Glide ratio is a dimensionless unit
