What if Naruto was always just Itachi pretending to be Naruto in order to gain the trust of Leaf? Akatsuki got Kurama years ago, and now they're just using "Naruto" to lure Jiraiya and all of us into a trap, at which point we will learn that Akatsuki was subverted by the Sage and Dummy nearly since its foundation and we will be taken to the Sage in order to be killed and resurrected as loyal minions!

Look, its very simple.

1. Orochimaru is a subset of everyone.
2. Everyone is Zabuza in disguise.
3. Zabuza is secretly Orochimaru.

This initiates a recursive Orochimaru/Zabuza cycle. Every 3rd iteration splits off both a Spin and Antispin Itachi, while every seventh iteration produces an Up-Sage of the Sixth Path. Cases where both an Itachi-pair and a Sage would be generated instead produce a Spin Itachi and a Down-Sage.

This is what we call Chakra.

Now, this does mean that there is a slow accumulation of Spin-Itachis and Up-Sages, which is actually where we get Orochimarus and Zabuzas in the first place.

I have no scientific background and thus only a limited understanding of what any of that means, but nevertheless I find myself wanting to "like" it twice.

We fooled Shikaku (allegedly).

e: So here's something to ask Jiraiya about insofar as "What sealing research has been done on this field":

Bounded Chakra Field seals. The idea is to limit the active use of chakra to 1 CP(-equivalent in the new system) per round within the area. It strikes me as something that Leaf might have for the containment of prisoners on a 0 CP basis, but increasing the limit to 1 allows the following:
  • Activation of seals
  • Genjutsu and Dispel
  • Wall and Waterwalking
  • Sustainment of low-cost techniques (henge, Water Whip, Pangolin Training Jutsu, etc.)
  • Vampiric Dew
But would disallow:
  • Activating nearly all techniques
  • Chakra Boost
  • Some Bloodlines (looking at you, Uchiha and Hyuuga)
Notably, this allows Hazou to leverage his unique advantages -- bonus whoring via sealcraft -- for him and his team while denying enemies similar bonuses that they could get via techniques.

e2: Additionally, using a 0-chakra variant of this seal would be particularly useful for Akane, as someone whose fighting style is almost entirely independent of active chakra use.

I keep pointing out that the only way that academy students to play with skywalkers is if leaf is using seal sweatshops. It takes 20 minutes of sealmaster time to produce 15 minutes of skywalkers.
