Considering its the simplest blank he's ever seen, and he's worked with the Nara training blanks which he did multiple of in a day, probably pretty fast.

It's simpler than even our party trick seal?

@Radvic Maybe you should consider add reverse engineering the seal in the morning?

@eaglejarl considering that the info on seal difficulty come very late in the cycle, how likely it is for the trio to consider reverse engineering the seal in their strategic planning?

Definitely think we should audible into Radvic's plan that researches the night light seal if it will only take an hour or 2

Cool. For clarity, when you say "night light seal" do you mean "seal the proctors are using" or "party trick seal?" Because if it's "seal the proctors are using", then we probably want to research it and use that (since it's both faster to make and more reliable than the party trick seal," Otherwise, we'll just make stupid amounts of party trick seals and business will be booming.
I was working under the assumption he'd already done so given this.

Hmm. Considering that the danger point come from the infusion event rather than the 90% of his time spent researching....

I checked. He hadn't amended it to be so.

If anyone wants to make a modified version to do research to unlock the seal. I am willing to consider voting for it, especially if it's carefully written.

No idea if this'll go through, but...

[X] Action Plan: Subtle Sneaky Sealmaster + Night Light Seals

Instead of using Party Favors, Hazou researches Night Light seals at a quick base set up upon entry into the swamp, then goes through with the rest of the plan.

[X] Action Plan: Research The Seal

Follow @Radvic's action plan in addition to:

  • Research the Proctor Seal
    • If Hazō thinks the risk is minimal and the reward sufficient.
      • Should be quick to research and difficult to get wrong.
      • According to the QM, it should be the simplest design Hazō encountered thus far, thus trivial.
      • Opportunity cost should be outweighed by quick manufacture and greater likelihood of acceptance.
    • Use this in place of the party trick seals.
    • Seal testing.
      • Interrupt by enemy genins during testing is the biggest danger. Have everyone be on their highest alert at that moment.
      • Safety is always paramount, but use common sense to determine how much preparation is needed to test the seal.

Added the point about safety being important but making sure that Hazō don't take half a day to construct a sealing lab.

[X] Action Plan: Research The Seal

The King is dead, long live the king.

Sage's sweaty scrotum, how the hell did you find that out? We aren't even using passwords on the QM folder anymore -- it's all biometrics now!

It was pretty obvious when "Keiko" tried to initiate physical contact but then remembered her slip up and that the real Keiko hates touching.
Of course, I could just be saying that so you don't change your security.

Anyway, as much fun as it is to mess with @faflec, I'll stop for now. Poor guy is probably frothing at the mouth already out of sheer paranoia.

Because, let's be real, EJ isn't going to write the entirity of this exam in one chapter

Watch him do that by never switching PoV from Hazo so all we see is a description of being bare walls, an ink pot, a brush and a bunch of paper while all the cool stuff is happening elsewhere. I am sure there is a hidden message in here, I just can't put my punchy fist finger on it.

In fairness, we could get over a thousand seals up in 18 hours...

e: Give a hundred to each Leaf team that happens across us, and keep 300-500 for ourselves.

e2: It's not something I'm comfortable putting in without discussion with at least 5 people, but we could also offer bounties of seals in exchange for paper halves.

I have no idea how to search the thread in a useful way, so I'll just ask, and I apologize if I'm rehashing months old territory: do any of the clone techniques give clones the ability to use Bloodline traits? Canon!Itachi's clones, at least, have their sharingan still.

Would Hazou's shadow clones have Iron Nerve (since it's a sharingan offshoot)? Even if we could only make one SC, it would double seal-making rate, right?

Nope, and you hit on exactly the reason why. Nobody wants to deal with bloodline clones, least of all the QMs :p

e: Good thought, though!

Of course, I'm willing to splinter off another plan.

  • In addition to offering Night Light seals in exchange for other seals, also offer a larger quantity in exchange for any OPSEC paper halves along with information on the team they belong to.
