[X] Poll: Move MfD to a weekly update to take some strain off the GMs

[X] Action Plan: The Watchtower

Any idea why @FeepingCreature is getting credit for my watchtower plan on planbot? I corrected some spelling mistakes and made some minor improvements to the version in my post.

@FeepingCreature edited a post prior to yours to retroactively vote for your plan, which was posted after his post. The first vote for a plan is usually the author, and I didn't anticipate this corner case in the code. I'm not sure how QMs would handle this exactly (CounterBot is still the official vote count anyway), but @eaglejarl has asked that people not edit posts to change votes.

Thanks.

Got that wrong.

I kind of noticed that Hazou assumed the best enough to push down on guarding against that little interoggation.

Hm, so Hazou kind of went against his gut and assumed the best of her intentions there.

Glad we're giving him more control. This looks like a warning in hindsight.

PSA: DO NOT EDIT VOTES IN COMMENTS. TO CHANGE A VOTE, MAKE A NEW COMMENT WITH [-] PLAN I WANT TO UNVOTE. ALSO, DON'T EDIT IN A VOTE INTO AN OLD COMMENT.

THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY.

(Granted, I'm probably guilty of this too, so I'm also watching out and making sure I don't do it again.)

Edit: someone deleted a comment somewhere making this no longer the top comment on the next page. #SadLyfe. I purposefully aimed to get that first-comment-on-the-page spot.

This is actually the exact reason I asked people not to edit in votes / plans. Also, now that CounterBot is caching pages that rule will be enforced by default: if I run CounterBot at, e.g., noon and it caches a page and then at 1pm you edit a vote into that page then your vote will be ignored.

Oh, also: Vecht, you should probably make PlanBot ignore votes from me, Velorien, and OliWhail.

We could always use more planes for watchtower. I do prefer it, but I'd accept suicide as an alternative, so I'll probably unvote for suicide if it's clear that one of those two wins.

[X] Action Plan: The Watchtower

I feel as if Kagome must die is wildly OOC.

I think it is a straightforward logical consequence of Hazou's stated goals for the world, that the only action at present which preserves those are to kill Kagome. Or otherwise make it look like he's dead to the other teammates, and hope that Jiraiya/Shikaku buys that Hazou can keep the secret himself when we debrief.

[X] Action Plan: True Armageddon
  • Argue that neither Kagome nor Hazou are fit to interact with society due to Hazou's inability to keep his mouth shut/think things through, and Kagome's inclination to blow everything up, even valuable people we care about.
  • Kagome and Hazou should go into exile, interacting only sparsely with people, focusing on research - the thing which won't result in us accidentally killing important people
  • Arrange to meet at a location (suggest Mountain Village) in a month for our next checkup
  • Go off with Kagome to an island in the middle of nowhere via skywalking shenanigans
  • Begin researching bigger bombs
    • Tech Track 1: Implosion Singularity
      • Prepare implosion seals by sticking them between two MEW blocks when we trigger them
      • Stack 10 implosion seals and trigger them with an explosive seal
      • Assuming that was a substantially bigger explosion, ask Kagome if he can improve implosion seals so they release in an even smaller area
      • Prepare and stack 10,000 of the implosion seals (either new or old) in a stack which can erase approximately half of the elemental nations
    • Tech Track 2: Global Warming
      • Make temperature control seals
      • Upscale them make temperature increase by at least 100 C in as large an area as possible
      • Set them on timers
      • Plot out where we'd need to set the seals around the Elemental Nations to cause all ground life to die of extreme heat.
    • Tech Track 3: Interstellar Transfinite Energy bomb
      • Modify an air or earth dome seal to be set relative to the brightest star in the night sky rather than relative to the earth, which may rip away the fabric of spacetime itself

I'm really... really... tempted.

Ooohh....

TBH, I also almost want to find a way to bring the Out In.
If we're just going to kill ourselves, we should really do this instead. Like, stabbing out your neck? Lame. Destroying the vast majority of civilization via sealing exploits? That's cool. Bonus is when the cascading failures start as infused seals elsewhere are destroyed triggering untold sealing failures across the globe.

Ehh--I see what you mean, but my mental model of Hazou has him unwilling to kill his friend and sensei. Also, never fight a prepared seal-master

      • Travel to Rain and set off the implosion seal singularity, thus erasing approximately half of the elemental nations
    • Tech Track 2: Global Warming
      • Make temperature control seals
      • Upscale them make temperature increase by at least 100 C in as large an area as possible
      • Set them on timers
      • Plant these seals in a grid around the Elemental Nations
      • Trigger the seals, making all above ground life die of extreme heat
    • Tech Track 3: Interstellar Transfinite Energy bomb
      • Modify an air or earth dome seal to be set relative to the brightest star in the night sky rather than relative to the earth
      • Travel to Rain and set off the bowling ball of death which may rip away the fabric of spacetime itself

Minus the part where we actually set things off, I support this.

TBH, I also almost want to find a way to bring the Out In.

YESSSS!
