A hundred pages back or so I made an equivalence of Youthsuits to WMDs which has only been strengthened by Shikaku and Jiraiya's injunctions against them, so I've taken to calling WMDs youthsuits in efforts to avoid poisoning Hazou's mind :p

So... if Hazou has to have a political marriage (the choice of whether or not to ship is made for us) do y'all want to go for the clan heir we've met (Ino) or let Jiraiya and/or Mari set us up with someone we've never met in character before?
 
I seriously doubt, given Jiraiya's previous comment, that it is necessary for Hazou to have a political marriage, but in the case that he did I would want to get maximum benefit from it. Which probably means marrying Temari or something.
 
I would say that given Jiraiya's comment people aren't going to want Hazou to have a political marriage, especially in light of Keiko becoming a Nara. If the new clan gets too many marriage alliances this early on it will be too disruptive of the status quo.

On the other hand that would require that the clans be aware of the game theoretic consequences of such. Which would, admittedly, make them easier to engage with, so pluses either way.

Smooth out the messed up relationship we have with Akane first and then consider that. I'm all for Hazou deciding to mirror Kagomes approach.

...Hm. You know, we might be able to arrange for Akane to be Hazou's bodyguard. She's certainly got the predilection (and fighting style) to suit. Plus the pangolin jutsu would let her take hits for him.
