No, Arikada Sugaku is the target we're trying to kill/capture. Joutarou extracted a nameless informant and her son.Just to be clear, Joutarou extracted Arikada Sugako and her son, who we killed as collateral in that battle.

Okay but when he says to 'capture' her, is it okay if she's permanently paralyzed? When he says to 'bring him her head', does he actually want the head (i.e. don't use explosives) or was that a strictly symbolic way of saying to kill her?
I will be off on a three day LARP/Camping trip this coming weekend starting Friday. I will have my phone but I don't think I will have much time to watch the thread. Make sure you guys comport yourselves appropriately. It costs nothing to be polite and to be upfront with our dissatisfaction with the state of the ninja world. Make sure to think things through and to plan ahead a little, not just to the next move but the implications and after effects.

He wants her alive and unmaimed -- ie, all bits attached and functional, all damage must be able to self-heal with only minimal intervention. Bruises, minor cuts, some soft-tissue damage, maybe a broken bone that isn't the spine / skull are all okay but nothing beyond that. Failing that he literally wants her head, in a recognizable state. Complete body would obviously be better.
It's not that difficult once you think about it, since we have a really powerful genjutsu mistress on our team. Send kunai flying while using Truth Lost in the Fog (don't memory-wipe to avoid paying the price) to catch groups of enemies (including the target) in genjutsu, and suddenly they're all asleep. That's a lot harder than simply blowing her and her guards up. :/

Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry, that really wasn't clear of me.There should be backup options as well. Use Macerator Seal to deploy sleeping powders.
Hm. I wonder if it would be economical for Pandaa to dig remote-controlled explosives beneath whatever roads lead to -location-.
Hence my hesitation. I feel like it's really risky to not prep an ambush since once the target enters the town our chances of a successful capture/assassination go way down, never mind when she leaves with her contact.

Hang on, @eaglejarl @Velorien When we were escaping from the Liberator Village one of the Genin used a sleeping powder that oneshot Noburi. IIRC we managed to take the weapon from said Genin's corpse, but did we also retrieve some powder from that?

Paranoid missing-nin who pretends to be a civilian? Why would a ninja take the roads? That's asking to be ambushed.
For your information: Sunday post generated a sizable reaction.
Anyway, if we for whatever reason fail this mission because of mistakes and surprises, do we get auto-TPK by Jiraya and hunting-nins?
