Is this not the Armageddon Initiative you'd hoped for :V
That's not going to cause Armageddon Initiative, it's going to get our team dogpiling us.

Armageddon Initiative is Hazou sneaking off on his own, finishing research on the EM Nuke Rune, then making a bunch of them in the Seventh Path and performing mass infusion + detonation + running away in the Human Path. Or something along those lines.

[X] Sneak off on our own, finish researching Unchained Superchillers, mass-produce them on the Seventh Path, and then deploy them at the Rift site on the Human Path.

Now that's a vote I can get behind.

Has anyone mathed out what Superchillers would actually do, if they worked?

We don't know what Unchained Superchillers would do. Estimating the size of the liquified air flood is relatively straightforward (roughly 10km^2 per second, varies depending on some assumptions), but the storm itself is not. It is unclear how, precisely, increased AOE radius translates to storm size. I have not found a decent way to establish a upper bound, although I think a lower bound is in the ballpark of "A large category-5 hurricane".

"mass produce them," we say, as though we have any substrate to work with
I don't think Orochimaru has actually given us the substrate, yet

Anyway, speaking in a less manic manner, any thoughts on the "harvest a minor ninja village for jounin batteries" idea?

To clarify, the idea is:
  • Exfiltrate Tsunade + Summoners.
  • Locate a minor village between Leaf and O'Uzu, which is small enough to be within our power to dominate.
  • Put a Force Dome + Air-Leadener + Iron Earth combo over it to prevent escapes.
  • Have Mari's SCs lock targets down with TLitF, with Orochimaru and Tsunade to paralyze them and overpower weaker defenders.
    • Prioritize capturing jounin, since they're the most weight-efficient chakra batteries.
  • Dump them into a big net suspended between Tsunade's SCs.
    • Note that Mari/Oro/Tsunade SCs all presumably last 12+ hours, meaning we won't need to re-summon those for attacking O'Uzu (chakra spent on this part of the assault won't be wasted).
  • Drag those to near O'Uzu.
  • Use them for ensuring all our SCs are fully stocked up on chakra + for summoning hordes of Summons + for shaping more rune blanks.
One issue here is that we'd probably need to spend chakra on jutsu, and the targets we capture would also spend some of their chakra defending. So I'm not sure off the top of my head that it'd be massively chakra-positive. But if Tsunade's SCs can transport several RER2s, she should be easily capable of transporting, like, 30-50 batteries? Assuming 200 CP remaining per battery, that's 6000-10000 chakra.

Oh and this is pretty evil, granted. We... don't have to slit the guys' throats afterwards, I guess? Just let them all go home. Not like there'd be an AMITY to punish Leaf.

Nah, we give them to Orochimaru as a gesture of goodwill. Nothing says "Merry Sagemas" like a entire hidden village's worth of research material.
Oro's respect for us is going to skyrocket if we suggest that plan to him, too! He says we "proclaim lofty goals, yet refuse to pursue them efficiently lest we tarnish our precious self-image"? He'll see. He'll see!

I approve of this plan wholeheartedly. In fact, why not go nab some of those bloodline nin from Hot Springs that can transfer chakra?

Sounds good to me, assuming there's a minor village on the way we can hit
