Asuma
  • Hazou is the Mizukage's nephew. Asuma's welcome to use that fact, there's little love lost there.
  • Would it help for Hazou to intercede on Ami's behalf?
  • Would Asuma permit Hazou to write to his mother? Personal matters only, and no objection to contents being read.
  • Hazou would like Asuma's permission to negotiate with Yasuji. Asuma gets progress reports and veto rights.
    • Long term it would be benificial if a Mist Clan head owed his ascendancy to Konoha
    • Ami has shown us how much influence is possible to gather in a foreign village
      • Image that influence directly in the hands of a Kage instead of in opposition to it
  • We have some ideas that might entice Yasuji
    • jutsu from the 7th path
      • From the toads and an other scrolls that Goketsu might acquire
    • sealing instruction from Kagome
      • Which would have the benefit of bringing Kiri-nin to leaf to learn and see the wonders of Konoha
    • Some of Jiriaya's seals
    • trade with Konoha through the 7th path
    • Improved barrel designs
  • Of course we would never do anything to endanger our relationship with the Hokage so if any of these hypotheticals where unworkable it would be nice to know
Yasuji
  • Only negotiate if Asuma approves. Discuss with Mari before.
  • Goal: Work towards a deal. We do want a lasting barrel for Noburi and the koi.
  • Method: Be friendly and straightforward, but treat him seriously. You'd like to assemble an offer the Wakahisa would accept.
  • Have breakfast together and then talk to him in private.
  • Suggest trading/selling the defensive coverings for Noburi's barrel + some other things Asuma approved of
    • More trades might be available in the future if this first deal goes well

[X] Action Plan: Family Matters

Both the lack of Akane part AND and the "Let's give Wakahisa super top secret part"from Oneiros old plan make me tip against it.

A belated response, but I'd strongly prefer norms around making new plans for new concepts rather than rejiggering old ones.

This, especially in these situation in which the vote is practically "Let's repeat the old plan".
It costs nothing and it makes everything easier for everyone.

Wait, @roobee , did you just do the edited plan, with the same name? Because that won't work, it'll still lead to Roomba's original plan. At this point, you're better off voting for Oneiros's plan.

Then let's go negotiate in a friendly way with Yasuji instead of subtly threatening to dump his body in a ditch on the Seventh Path.

Honestly, I'm as upset about this part as you are

You should make a new plan instead. I imagine alot of voters intended to vote for Roomba's plan (aside from minor edits)

Agreed. In situations where the old plan is being voted on, I don't think that edits should be made to it --other than minor grammar/wording edits. If there's a change in content, then a new plan should be made and subsequently voted on. Especially for the circumstances where voting closes in less than 12 hours. Personally, the Akane part of Roomba's plan was the whole reason that I voted for it.

Don't act like this is some radical act

I think that your wording is needlessly confrontational here. But it's worth acknowledging that a notable part of the hivemind do think that this is a "radical" change. That's why a large portion of the hivemind was upset when MKII made last minute content changes to his plan.

A belated response, but I'd strongly prefer norms around making new plans for new concepts rather than rejiggering old ones.

Agreed.

Changed back enough people bitched

Again, I think your wording is unnecessarily antagonistic here. But thank you for acknowledging and respecting the opinions of that portion of the hivemind.

PSA: I'll be voting last minute for a while again --even at the risk of missing a voting session or encouraging another Youthsuit Occurrence. I want to know what plan I'm voting for.

You missed Oneiros temporarily significantly altering portions of the plan. He wrote that as a way to vote for the one Oneiros was discarding relatively near the deadline.

Well if EJ does the tally from the Chosen for the Graves chapter it'll work...Since it has become relevant I'll see whether side-stories count

edit:
The default is that we count from the latest threadmark.
Since Chosen from the Grave does have a threadmark (albeit a sidestory threadmark. which doesn't seem to show up in vote tally thing) the votes should be counted from it, not the canon update. Leading to the edited roomba plan to win instead of the original one

I didn't miss that, I saw that she had changed it back. And either way, it would still have been an issue. I had actually done something similar to roobee originally as well, then redacted it because it was deemed unnecessary/confusing, though now I wish I had kept it, especially since plans change.

Summary: Let's have a very careful and non-pushy conversation with Asuma, demonstrating we learned something by almost being executed. Then let's go negotiate in a friendly way with Yasuji instead of subtly threatening to dump his body in a ditch on the Seventh Path. Then let's force EJ to write...feelings. (Ugh) Even...gurk...teenage romance.

Ya guys. You're killin' me here.

To be fair, it was originally intended for @Velorien. Besides, feelings are good for you EJ, not everything can be explosions and punching all the time.

Socials are basically verbal punching anyway.

Anyway, he's trying to pull some kind of sky-brain political move. He's coming to us, claiming he's got the sun and the moon on a string and is willing to sell them to us in exchange for the stars and the hills. He then takes the stars and the hills back to his father and convinces him to give us the sun and the stars.
There's a mistake, I think: it should be "the sun and the moon" at the end, not "the stars".
