I notice that they're "post-interaction" surveys, and not "post-conversation" surveys. Do we hand them out after fights, as well?
It's a brilliant idea. If someone somehow managed to survive the Gōketsu experience, we of course need to figure out how. We also need pre interaction surveys, so we can see what effect our interactions have.

Doesn't handing out the survey constitute interaction? In fact, given that we authored the surveys, wouldn't simple knowledge of the existence of said surveys constitute interaction?

[x] Action Plan: Yeet the dab

Not so sure what 'exchange contact info' is supposed to mean in a world without phones (postal address?), but the rest of this all seems reasonable.

Postal addresses.

I'm mostly okay with this plan. Though I think it's pretty condescending that we feel the need to tell Hana not to mess with Zabuza. Yeah she made a big mistake with the way she treated Mari, but I imagine she has some sense of personal preservation. She's not going to pick a fight with someone she can't beat for literally no gain. She didn't even directly pick a fight with Mari. Both instances where she interacted negatively with the woman came from other people forcing the interaction (first time Mari, second time us).

Also, I might be being a bit paranoid, but I think if we want to get lessons on Leaf clan politics, we might want to do it somewhere indoors away from prying eyes. Letting people know that we're so lost with politics that we need other people to teach us the basics might be giving away a bit too much. Though I suppose it's possible that the cat's already out of the bag on that one.
I can add a "Jokingly" to the Hana bit.

I'm not concerned about coming off ignorant about politics stuff to our fellow Leaf contingent, really. Maybe I'll go back and add a "Discreetly" later.

If only Hazou could troll that well.

On the way back to Leaf, speak to Asuma and/or ISC on the subject of Leaf clan politics.

Pretty sure Asuma is going to the Nagi battle, because Jiraiya said that he is going to send us back with the chunnin. I also don't really like asking the ISC about guidance. Can't we ask Mari and Tsunade for help? Also Keiko and Noburi grew up in their clans, they can't be completely uninformed.

I would also like us to gather proper information about ALL Leaf clans, Mari used her knowledge about the Aburame very effectively, maybe we can avoid total failure that way. Like, what's the deal with the Motoyoshi clan? Who are they?

The real treasure was the fafs we were lec'd along the way

Is @faflec secretly Zabuza? Of course he is.

Not even he would see it coming. The perfect disguise for the perfect crime.

If each post-interaction survey is also an interaction, then clearly what we are obligated to do is hand them another survey as soon as they receive the first one. Continue this until you hand them a paper that just says Stack Overflow Error and run away as fast as you can.

I agree we should make sure we can't ask Mari/Tsunade for help before asking anyone else.

I am a bit more concerned about our fellow Leaf ninja knowing the full extent of our political abilities. Because in the immediate future, they're the ones we're going to be practicing politics against. Including Ino-Shika-Cho.

They're all allies, but they all have their own agendas and biases that may be at odds with our goals. And if we present ourselves as rank amateurs they're either going to try to exploit us or be dismissive of us. Unless our plan is to lull them into a false sense of security and surprise them with our competence, I don't think we have anything to gain by letting people know we're both new at this and completely untrained. Also asking outsiders about this when we have Mari at our disposal is basically the equivalent of telling a smart person that either Mari is incompetent and can't answer our questions, or something is wrong in the Goketsu camp.

edit: adding the jokingly line for the Hana bit would be good in my opinion.

Say bye to foreign nin, exchange contact info and promises to keep in touch.
Let's specify who, since Hazou may or may not end up saying goodbye to Zabuza and taking a sword to the face.
On the way back to Leaf, speak to Asuma and/or ISC on the subject of Leaf clan politics.
  • Try to get a quick crash course on it.
I tentatively agree with the above and ask that this be put aside until we get intel from more trustworthy allies.

Can we... It's confirmed that we could make storage scrolls that seal/unseal contents at a distance. Can we make explosive seals that create explosions at a distance? Say, reusable ones?

Next step would be making them attack all chakra signatures in vicinity except those keyed-in. This would kill taijutsu as a practice and (potentially) sidestep the Chakra Dispersion Problem.

So we can presumably activate implosion seals from a distance, but how far can we do it and how much lag can we add to the activation? For me those are the big two questions because depending on the distance we could pull off some crazy ideas in the future.

Regarding bringing Akane into the clan, I think that it is probably a good idea---though we need to hear more about the potential downsides from people who know better. However, although we are perfectly rational reasoning and planning engines not influenced at all by affection for any given fictional character nor by a desire to see more of her, and so whereas our decision---and therefore Hazou's---will, of course, not be tainted or unduly influenced by romantic considerations, how Hazou is seen counts. Bringing her in, Hazou might be seen as compromised.

More seriously, one approach might be for Hazou to raise the question, admit that he may be compromised, and ask the rest of the clan to debate without him, under Chatham House Rule, then let him know the majority decision. I wouldn't be surprised if Nara already have procedures like that.

In any case, we probably shouldn't rush until we learn whether or not Jiraiya survived. Also, did we ever found out what Tsundae did to her? My money is on the whole crossing the line thing being a test, which Akane passed. At the same time, I don't see her as Tsundae's student---unless Tsundae wants a non-mednin as one, which I guess could happen.

Well Tsunade's second biggest thing is casting fist, Akane is also a fan of fists and fist techniques. Would not be the weirdest thing to happen.

I think we should discuss with the rest of the clan. If they see no issue, political or otherwise, then we ask Akane directly as both her friend as current clan head if she would like to join.

  • Make seal blanks for the next 6 hours.
  • Say bye to Mom, thanks for the advice
    • Please don't mess with Zabuza, take it from us its a bad idea.

  • Get back to Leaf.
    • Update Mari and Kagome on everything.
    • What's happened while we were away?
    • Steel yourself for the inevitable reveal that everything has gone to heck since you left, and that you (of course) now need to fix everything.
      • In case of super traumatic news, make sure no one leaves the compound to do anything stupid.
        • This goes double for yourself.

Aren't there really diminishing returns on making extra seal blanks now? If we're making them for ourselves that's fine, but we could always do that on the road.

As to leaf politics, perhaps delegating to nobby might be ideal?

Whats the correct past tense of "yeet" anyway?

Yeet:

[x] Action Plan: All is Chaos
- Fulfill our existing obligations:
* Make seals for jiraya, but randomly insert paper squares with hearts in them, claiming they came from Mari-Sensei. (Might allow Jiraya to invoke: My Wife Waits At Home)
- Announce a ten-thousand-ryo(mist ryo) bounty for anyone who can come up with the most amazing water-whip-phallic-innuendo, causing Nobby three degrees of stress in the process.
- Start causing (controlled(relatively)) seal failures on your trip back in a bid to attract the International Secret Not-So-Secret-Because-We-Must-Also-Scare-Sealmasters Sealmasters' Society.
* Ask for training so you'll cause less seal failures.

Cons:
- Probably die.
- Probably get evicted from the clan because you're a lying backstabber.

Pros:
- CHAOS!

This is probably the best way to get back on track with our romance with Ami.

This is probably the best way to get back on track with our romance with Ami.

The best way to romance (INSERT) at this point in time would be to wake them up and then go have breakfast above the clouds while we watch the sun rise ever so slowly on this fragile and delicate world.

Depending on (INSERT)'s reaction, add massive amounts of explosives where necessary.

In Ami's case, try to find a skysquid as well. Tell her that petting is okay.
Before we'll know it, she'll have a new pet.
Wondering how Squick will go along with Fifi.

I don't see why we can't be serious about Hana. After what she pulled in Leaf, I don't trust her and neither do I care if Hazo looked like a fool.

Also, should we be telling Kagome that we gave all the seals to Jiraiya?
