Currently, I think the current research direction is a waste of time. I rather have Hazō doing more research or learn something else for the last two days.

Personally, I'd really like Akane and Hazou to have the chance to laugh over him being a little oblivious to the fact that she'd broken up with him. It'll let her know (quite importantly) that he hadn't been intentionally excluding her, but rather that it took him a bit after realizing that to get over it.

Whats your argument for why this is a waste of time? Going and looking at musty books that we may or may not have access to that may or may not have anything useful seems like a bigger waste of time to me.
I don't want to focus on something we're not going to use anyway. I rather focus on researching Keiko's suggestion or learn something new.

I mean... I did literally say in so many words that you're not going to be able to get it done in two days. And, to be clear, that's based on numbers, not a "because I said so" fiat ruling. Still, I guess you can go ahead and burn FP if you want.

An advancement on Lesser Barrier Formation would be really useful too.
Persistent Barrier Formation -
Consists of two seal elements. Space between the seals must be free on activation.
For X days, so long as the seals are not moved with respect to their partner, every time the barrier is interrupted the seals emit a chakra pulse that activates (0-1) seal elements which are connected to the barrier elements.
This would allow civilians to operate storage tags in absence of ninja (for a while, until burnout)
Could also be incorporated into our automated firing mechanisms.
Requires extending the duration of barriers (from 12? hours to ideally a month or longer)
Requires enabling multiple chakra pulses from a single barrier activation.
To explain the lack of this seal's existence in the setting:
I don't think this would be researched for combat or utility purposes in the current state of the ninja death world. Almost every tag a ninja cares to connect to the barrier would be single use, so there's be no point in a multiple firing barrier. Storage tags are an exception, and the general case for ninja using storage tags has the ninja present to activate the tag manually.

I would like to petition that all future LBF variants have a more realistic name, and not "Barrier" which makes me think its some sort of physical/magical barrier technique.
(Although that the LBF is the "Lesser Barrier Formation" this implies there is a "Greater Barrier ..." somewhere)

You know what would also be great to be able to make? Lesser Barrier Formation.
Personally, I'm inclined to prioritize pretty much any trigger sealing research. This sounds good as a continuation though. Ultimately, I'm still concerned about putting significant triggers into a suit without a fair amount of failsafes put into the seal.

Denied. As punishment for your transgression, my next barrier suggestion is
"Goketsu Hazou's Spiralling Flash Super Round Dance Howl Style Three Barrier Formation"
Requires 3 elements, and free space between the elements to activate.
The elements define a planar circle, which establish a spherical barrier as if the circle were swept about its diameter. If anything crosses the barrier, including through the use of space-time ninjutsu, then each tag emits a pulse that activates 0-1 connected tags of other seals.

Interesting hypothetical worldbuildy question for y'all.
Say Chunin!Hazou comes across someone being mugged/assaulted/murdered in a back alley somewhere in a nameless city in Fire Country, let's say Tanzaku Gai for completeness' sake.
To what extent is Hazou allowed to mete out justice in that situation? Is this a "Drag 'em to local jail because they get a trial." thing? Is it a "Within the bounds of the law, I can enforce punishment (up to capital punishment) as the situation demands." Or is it a "I am a ranking shinobi of Leaf. By the power invested in me by the Hokage, I now pronounce you dead. Say your prayers." thing, with no questions asked (but maybe some paperwork filed after the fact)?
Obviously circumstantial things might sway the issue towards one or the other side of things (the eight year old street urchin turned thief might get some leniency) but on average, whats the sort of thing we're dealing with here?
Just something I was mulling over as far as the Land of Fire's judicial system is concerned. I imagine in Water its almost 100% guaranteed to be the last option, but I was curious what the stance would be in the more civvy friendly country of Fire.
