I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

We have Shaggoth Hearts and we learned that we've the skill to use any kind of heart for the MAwakening. So I'd argue it didn't get more viable. Prettier, though, if we use them for the eyes

Minor updates like the Adamant being put to 22 as well. I think this was mostly prepwork, favor wasn't updated either when I last checked.

Super cool about the Brana and Krum Miners, I'm actually pretty happy the Hearthguard filled up so fast. Means we can do more stuff with them on turn 37 like get the Almanacs or whatever and still have them helping with something else.

It's a shame Soulcake confirmed Nightwing can't read but we may as well start building the library anyway. If nothing else it'll encourage us to vote to learn Eltharin quicker

Yeh. Ain't no shame in preparing things ahead of time properly and all that, when we can send part of them off to still do stuff like the Deeps.

Those books will just slide neatly into the vault, along with whatever else we get. The Dronwut is interesting because like on the one hand it has thematic connections at least in a minor way to Grungni, but I'm not sure it being a lightning rod is very safe for a weapon. But that's okay. If we want to make Skrundaz making its handle out of Azrilwutroth is totally fine from an artistic statement standpoint, since that wood's a big Thing of Kraka Drakk and this is a big ceremony for Kraka Drakk, plus it is connected to Gromril which is important to Mining and Dwarves and such.

E: Just double checked we'll only be able to do it partially with the favor we have right now, but that's not an issue we can just dump what's left on turn 38 or whatever.

I wonder if it would go beyond mere aesthetics, to have Master Rune of Lightningbolts on something with Shaggoth Hide and Dronwut?

I double checked, and we should have enough once we get our Favor for the wedding, just barely, if we throw a retainer action at it. I say just barely because that also includes the requirements for Eltharin tutoring

Yep!

What I was talking about was that we won't be able to get every book immediately on turn 37, though we can get some and grab Comprehensive and All of It. If we want we could save buying it all up for turn 38 to make things neater, but don't see much point in that tbh doesn't really make much difference.

In what turn do we start with the Valkyrie Guard's commision? I tend to skip vote posts because I mostly read this from the phone and the format that is put there sometimes doesn't really helps me

I bet alchemy will let us refine the odd places materials upwards in tier so maybe it'll work eventually? Though I guess the shaggoths are tier 4 already so probably not for MAwakening but maybe for MThunderbolts it'd work.
 
Well I'm glad to see the Hearthguard is fully manned I won't have to worry about there numbers anymore unless of course one of them dies doing there job. What I look forward to the most this turn will be the new Runic Item we've created that has always been my favorite part in all of this seeing our new creations come to life!

I'd be against doing alchemy too since I can totally see us not finishing it for centuries at which point it may turn out that by the time we did get around to making another one enough time passed that we could make another one wasting us getting another one a century earlier. I'd say maybe Purification understanding but that's it because if we try to do everything we will never get anything done.

This argument carries no basis in our capabilities.

One turn to do the smelter whenever we want while studying purification or alchemy or, for that matter, anything else.

The argument was that we should avoid making the mistake of thinking we need to do everything before doing something or else we would never get anything done. That was the reasoning for using the Heart when we did instead of spending centuries making countless other preparations. Basically I'd rather we do just the purification rune research if we want to do something before making a new smelter instead of that and alchemy since I get the strong feeling Alchemy is going to have multiple chains like Metal or waking and other research.
