On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

You know if/when Snorri finds Thungni's hammer is old rival Vragni is gonna have a full on Dwarf-Aneurysm out of pure anger.
Vragni: Klausson wields his power and influence with the skill of a yearling
Kazak-Kazak-Rhun
Vragni: He's trying to reshape the guild in his own image
Kazak-Kazak-Rhun
Vragni: His runecraft is inefficient and wasteful
Kazak-Kazak-Rhun
Vragni: He's only on the Burudin so the Elders can keep an eye on him.
Kazak-Kazak-Rhun
Vragni: He's corrupting the youth
Kazak-Kazak-Rhun
Vragni: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! A GRUDGE!

Kazak-Kazak-Rhun!

Edit: Would be a hell of an upgrade to go from T2 Nameless Axe to Kazak-Kazak-Rhun though lol.

Honestly would be funny if Snorri use the harmer as a bases to figure way how to shove more runes into a object the sharing his detailed studies with the rest of the guild on the Runepaloza and reference the hammer as primary object of study.
Everyone will have an aneurysm.

So, i'm thinking of this

[ ] [Adamant:] Offer each of them a shard of Voidstone and enough Adamant [x10] to make a Greater Smelter

Or maybe the one with the repayment option, but I don't particularly care either way.

Giving them Voidstone but not enough to make a Greater Smelter would be a wasteful use: Snorri wants his students to have Adamant, so having them make a sub-par smelter with Gromril seems like a silly decision.

But the more interesting thing, otoh, is what Snorri will say to them.

This turn we almost got Snorri admitting "my first four are dead."

I think that this might be the tipping point where he actually says it out loud.

Because nothing says "Don't die on me" like giving them the tools and material to make an indestructible material.

I bet the first Adamant Dolgi makes will go to Skarri.

>TFW Vragni also received the riddle and solved it before Snorri

Wat do then?
Vragni: *huffing copium*
Snorri: "Whomegalol?"
Vragni: *Solves Riddle*
Snorri: "Welp, I can only blame myself. Congrats!" smiles normally
Vragni: interprets as some plot to distract him from effectively countering Snorri's centralization of power in the Runesmithing guild coming to fruition; "REEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Edit: It doesn't really affect much. A worthy bearer of the Ancestor's tool is found and they get some prestige. Even if it is Vragni, it might be seen as some desperate gamble to eclipse Snorri's hold on the North.

In theory, it's just a notable thing among many others.

But Vragni will probably take it personally. Or see it as Snorri getting more prestige to push forwards his nefarious goals.

I was thinking about that. The first option would make him a hypocrite to the highest order, but him becoming a Dawi Zhar would be much worse, especially when he didn't do it like other Dawi Zhar, who were desperate. He would do that because he would be spiteful.
That's actually something because he knows about the chaos dawi and how they were broken to become one so if he became one not only would it disgrace his entire guild and those that followed him but also lead many to see Snorri was the one in the right all along even for a Dawi stubborn mind
