I think it would be more consistent to chalk that up to CRAZY BLOODLINE BULLSHIT along with a decent pile of inherent talent. Pretty much half of what made either of them special or good at anything was stapled to stupid bloodline stuff in canon.

As examples of people who inherently have a lot of pure talent, however, I would point to Minato Namikaze, who did all of the stuff that made him amazing and legendary in his late teens /early twenties, and then died at age 24 (at least in canon).

tbh Jiraiya is also an example

but like

compared to the dude who did an impossibly good variant on sealing and then still found the ability to overmatch basically any non-jonin in taijutsu
 
Speaking of, it is a bit sad we'll never be able to use the whole "seal a chakra monster in you and use it as a second chakra reserve" to get around the chakra sealing issue. Understandable though, that would be pretty game breaking if Hazo pulled it off.

That's reasonable. Speaking of which, are there any fun (but not totally busted) bloodlines running around in the thread I could give to my players? Or @QMs, anything you want playtested?

I mean I had a plan to pull it off that was pretty reasonable to end up with us having a tailed beast

Also since there are some players who oppose using lethal methods to take down a target I'd like to get Kagome working with the seal smiths in Mountain to develop new tools to enable us to capture a summoner

Sounds like a reasonable plan, but I won't support Mountain and finding a summoning contract, because it isn't something I want to do.

Sure. We got an interlude that informed us that Zabuza was working with Orchimaru to track down Akatsuki. We needed a way to get in contact with them without exploiting out of character knowledge. This lead to the creation of the summoning scroll conspiracy. We had the Condor summoner last known location at the Hinnago Medical Facility that we believed was related to Orchimaru. In an attempt to make contact I wanted us to go investigate with Kakashi. Ideally we would have made contact with Zabuza and tracked down Akatsuki together. Then we would have to make sure Yagura died. Hazō would then be an ideal emergency host to seal the 3-tails in being both the Nephew of the Mizukage and the son of the Hokage

Ideally this would have lead to us having 3 scrolls and a tailed beast

If you check the first few dozen pages of the quest, back during character creation, there were a lot of proposed bloodlines. Many of them nasty.

Well we might be allowed to be sent off to get the condor summoming scroll, though there is a likely chance Jiraiya sends out another team to do it. I also don't think he would be likely send an elite like Kakashi on a mission to retrieve a summoning scroll to what is an almost destroyed society. Might not see it as worth the potential loss, since there's a good chance the current summoner is a dangerous opponent. Summon animal jutsu is bullshit man. Then agaim they're rare and Jiraoya might see it as still very worth attaining anyway. He might not want to risk losing both his heir and one of his seal makers, seal masterery seem like a relatively rare craft compared to most other type of ninja. Losing Hazo would both hurt the clan politically since it's still so new and small, and the village resource wise.

Then again since the condors are now subservient to Pangolin society, the pangolins might be ok with not destroying condor scroll be destroyed and letting someone loyal to their summoner, like her brother for example, become the current summoner. Having three scrolls in Goketsu possesion, all of which being allied in different senses of the word would be amazing, you only saw the Uchiha pull that off with their cat, raven, and crow summons, it would be a huge deal for our clan.

As for the 3 tails thing, I wouldn't be against Hazo becoming its jinchuriki but there would be a few problems.
1) yes we have a connection with both villages but frankly that seems mire negative than anything since both sides would have people against the notion of a traitor having that kind of power/responsibility

2) Hazo is still a leaf ninja now and Mist would definitely want their bijuu back in Mist, in a Mist nin.

3) There could be potential complications putting a bijuu in a teenager and best case scenario Hazo loses his chakra control until he gets a handle on it again, making him an easy target. Worst case he dies, probably didn't need to said but still.

I also would not go anywhere near Oro or Zabuza at our current level, but then again big risks big rewards. Reading all this I'm pretty sure parts of it arent feasable, but I would be all for getting that summoning scroll and finally taking down the condor summoner.
