Hm. Okay, so: Water Clone, Tac Move, Syrup Trap, and Vamp Dew seem to be high priorities for Noburi, because if Noburi got them all to, say, 50, he'd be able to produce:

16 Water Clones with the following stats:

16 Tac Move, 16 Syrup Trap which could be be produced using 85 (20 base water clone + 20 syrup trap + 25 CB Syrup Trap + 20 CB Tac Move) chakra apiece for a total of 1,360 chakra points to roll 16 instances of Syrup Trap at 41 dice during which time their distraction would allow Noburi to drain -- alternately he could use only 10 of them to Syrup trap (for 850 chakra) and instead use the other 6 to pretend to be him.

e: Note that no jounin is capable of boosting tac move to avoid every syrup trap. It's just not gonna happen unless they're wakahisa, a jinchuuriki, or Kisame.
Wait could the water clones substitute with Noburi? If they can we could just constantly substitute with a clone any time someone manages to close with him

*rummages in the cabinet looking for the aspirin*

That's because you created a meme that has become widespread across all fiction threads on SV.
Which one?

Um, actually I've already been working on a character for a pen and paper game that takes inspiration from Kagome...
*happiness*!

Lower voter turnout this cycle. Might I ask why people are so set against doing what Mari has taught us and doing an investigation and questioning of our host? We are unable to make good decisions if we don't try and collect information. The investigation could be as simple as have Noburi converse with the Wife while the rest of the team takes a look around the house for things that would stand out as being out of place. We verify she is our contact and has not been turned or we figure out that the Husband is who we really should be reporting to and go out and pick him up or something. We don't know so we go and try and find out. Investigation is clearly the best option at this point in time while still staying on mission.

I just thought of something.

When we get back, we should research Featherfall Seals (seals that prevent you from taking fall-damage while you wear them). They're a super-useful safety feature for skywalkers.

@eaglejarl

How hard does Hazou the character think they would be to research? (Edit: Just ballpark, I won't hold you to it.)

Yep. Once we get Vamp Dew to 30 or so we should ask if he can try learning to infuse chakra through mist, too.

Assuming all goes to plan, Noburi will be able to use medical ninjutsu, infuse chakra, and drain chakra through water/mist.

It's Monday, give it time -- personally, I don't generally vote until near deadline, out of whimsy/for training plans, or to make a statement, in order of likelihood.

Depends on how he goes about it -- if we had ideas for how they'd work, it'd probably be easier for him -- for instance, it wasn't hard to turn storage seals into macerators because we could just remove the limitors on storage seals.

In the interest of clarity: She is where she was supposed to be, the contact is listed as "husband and wife, farm, location <...>" in your documentation, and she gave the correct countersign. She is either a (maybe lupchanz-controlled?) agent of Jiraiya's or a (maybe lupchanz-controlled?) woman who tortured / extorted / mindripped / mindcontrolled the passwords out of the actual agent's mind.

If a ninja wants to ambush us by making us "help" her husband, it makes you wonder why they chose such a convoluted lie to lure us in. Just blow up the house.

I don't think there many things you could say that could make me smile more than this statement.
QMs: *take pleasure in causing intense paranoia*
Players: *take pleasure in causing intense headaches*

Such a mutually-beneficial arrangement we have here :p

That said, if we could work out gravity-affecting seals we could give the QMs even greater headaches throw Radvic at them and see what new explosions he could craft ...do things.

@Traiden

Myself it's partially meta and partially practical.

On the meta level: we lack a fair bit of agency right now and I'll be happy to see the message-delivery portion of the quest done. Spending update-time looking into this slows down the speed with which we approach a more interesting future.

On the practical level: why do we care? Say we question the woman and find out shocking fact X. Huzzah? I've yet to see any suggestions (that we'd actually want to stick around for) that seem important enough to be worth either Hazō's time or ours, rather than just dropping J a line saying "FYI we got a weird vibe from this woman" next time we update him.

It is also more that I want the first response from the thread to be reasoned investigation rather than panicked gibbering as we create new landmarks.
