I got a really Bonesaw vibe from her. She wasn't reacting very sanely, but did respond with intelligence. I was pretty surprised that the cortex bomb (which is likely triggered on death and not remotely operated) and the rocket jet were the only seals we saw from her, and it looked like we solidly outclassed her.

Be very careful about using that name. Noburi's gonna name it the FEF or something, and the list of vengeances is getting too big to resolve without doing something incriminating.

On another note, I'm extremely sad that the explosion was so powerful that it broke Panchipaama's body. We are now down our only expendable melee fighter, and Arikada will have a bit of time to prepare for our arrival. We should try to to approach as creatively as we can, probably sending a clone or two on ahead to trigger any traps.

And Re:Triggered Plagues, we have zero ways to defend against that. Like, maybe wash thoroughly if we have her head and thusly aren't in as big of a hurry, but we have jack shit to combat plagues.
Our only option for plagues is to hope Jiraiya (read: Tsunade) grants us mercy when we skitter off to meet him.

Plagues are annoying. But all we have to do is hit hard and fast, and KO her before she opens up her gallbladder and turn the quest into ninja!ZombieApocalypse.

a few thoughts:
1. bioseals don't necessarily mean doomplagues. In fact plagues should be ridiculously hard to deal with in terms of sealing: they're very very small, very very complex, don't stay still, and worst of all they grow and change.
2. if Mari is worried about the biomancer having extra senses, maybe go for a flashbang style genjutsu THIS IS TOO BRIGHT AND LOUD AND PAINFUL TO IGNORE. Sure that would probably snap her out of the genjutsu quickly, but itd be disorienting as fuck
3. paranoid sealmistress ... If the MC starts mentioning improvising seals and/or having no choice but to "jump straight to fieldtesting" a seal design when barking out plans for the party, I wonder how she'd react.

1. Self-replicating seals that turn matter into the needed chakra and ink.
2. Arikada has dampened pain sensors since she was willing to blow her own fucking legs up (they didn't completely blow up, but you know what I mean). Pain genjutsu wouldn't register.
3. She would kill Hazou. So would Kagome. Experimental field seals means you kill the sealer or everything dies.

Oooh, we need an inverted controller genjutsu. Something that makes her think she moved her arms when she tries to mover her legs and so on. Not painful, but confusing.

Hm. I wonder if we could do anything with the properties of a prince rupert's drop. I'm sure we could figure something out...

1. confirmation we can ditch Noburi's bloodline for topping us off and replace it with direct matter to chackra taps for unending chackra. Possibly filtered trhough an animal and then sucked up by Noburi for safety though
-also confirmation that this setting is not rational at all if grey goo sealocolypse is possible and hasn't already happened. Or else its a very young setting that is doomed to a sealocolypse
2. That doesn't mean being briefly blind and deaf wouldn't be distracting
3. Yes. Thats a useful reaction to induce, a way to limit her possible courses of action. Of course ideally this would be done in such a way as to tip off Kagone that its actually an approved and tested seal. But that would also require Kagome not ruining the ruse by spitting out the contradiction out loud.

Can we take a moment and appreciate the insanity that it requires to, by whatever means she did so, strip one's legs of fat to power a jump away?

...wait. Is she an Akimichi? Is this why Jiraiya's putting such a priority on her?

I'm starting to think that going in with a salvo of explosive seals first isn't a bad idea. Her fat stores most likely have a defensive function along with their apparent offensive capabilities. We don't care too much about crippling her legs, right? Her load out synergizes poorly with the transformation jutsu and clones. It's prudent to assume at least one of these things is still high for situations where she's naked. Thinking along tropey lines makes me fear that she'll only be more powerful after she's used up that shell. Are there any other things we can deduce from all of the 2 things we've seen her do so far?

If we capture, we can't maim her.

He wants her alive and unmaimed -- ie, all bits attached and functional, all damage must be able to self-heal with only minimal intervention. Bruises, minor cuts, some soft-tissue damage, maybe a broken bone that isn't the spine / skull are all okay but nothing beyond that. Failing that he literally wants her head, in a recognizable state. Complete body would obviously be better.

Yeah, I'm less excited about capturing her. We at least are now pretty sure she doesn't have like any serious front line options like Kagome does, but her body is still an unpredictable Swiss army knife. I mean, trapping her in some container with some air holes and applying that "this object will not move" seal to some wire wrapped around it will make it pretty damn impossible to escape, and Noburi can be free to drain her into unconsciousness. That is my idea for transporting her to Konoha, and if we kill her than good news, we need a much smaller box and no air holes needed. Then we may even have time to arrange something for that innkeeper, like ice.

Speaking of, am I remembering this right? We're delivering Arikada straight to Konoha? And we have actual codes to give to the patrols, and we're actually gonna be there? Is this the GMs introducing us to the Canon cast and getting us more involved with Konoha?

So we're bringing back a torso and a head I take it since we're going to be relieving her of her limbs she knows she uses them as weapons in the first place. Also a thing that we might be able to do with going to do is have her see a vision of someone in our team using a seal in the field that way we do not incur the wrath of Kagome. It could be a way of getting her to Flinch in a manner that we can take advantage of. Also we really should have a ceiling put over her head the second we re engage with her.

So we know that we can store bodies in storage scrolls and that time does not pass inside of the dimension or w/e a scroll creates.

Why not just cut off our target's legs and seal them away?

We can make the case later to Jiraiya that we saw her use them in a weird technique that definitely originated from her legs so that the only way we could think of to prevent her from using it or something similar to escape (again) was dismemberment. We can even throw him a bone (or two with flesh attached!) by offering to give him the scrolls containing her legs so that they can be reattached if he so desires. This would also act as a preventative measure against seals embedded in her legs since attempting to put them in a seal would result in a fail cthulu and then we'd definitely be in the right for permanently destroying otherwise inaccessible bio weapons. Of course, it would be best to do this procedure after we have captured her so that we can remove her limbs in a somewhat surgical manner for easier reattachment later on, but I don't want to hold back too much against Ms. "I laugh when I make my own legs explode".

We could apply this to her arms as well if needed as the best way to disarm a bio tinker is to... well, disarm them.

I do think going after her brain/nervous system is the best course of attack for our next round. One sustained jolt of electricity would make her muscles inoperable while she is being shocked and that would be a perfect time for Noburi to start draining her chakra through mist (because attaching a water whip to someone getting shocked is pants on head stupid). Sensory overload may also be a good idea, but if she is able to turn off her sense of pain she might be able to recover from other such attacks faster than we could compensate for. Our best disposable melee fighter just got poofed by one attack indirectly; I don't place good odds on us being able to punch our way to victory in this fight. Let's just have Mari shock the shit out of the target while everyone else prevents the target from escaping again: Hazou can use MEW, Noburi starts his mist+drain combo, Keiko is on overwatch in case someone gets in danger (she could also possibly summon another Pangolin if she has enough chakra by the time we reach the target again, but I'm not counting on it), Kagome can use 5 seal barriers primarily as well as explosives if the team feels it is needed, and Akane can deploy caltrops or w/e traps she has for more movement denial.

To combat more rocket jumping, Hazou and Kagome can work together to make a temporary cage: Hazou makes earth walls onto which Kagome attacks perpendicular barrier seals on. Additionally, Kagome can reinforce the MEW walls by putting barrier seals behind those so that not even explosions will be able to break through the rock while still allowing for a surface to place more seals on. We need to treat this fight like a sealing experiment gone catastrophically wrong: you don't punch the writhing mass of slowly yet exponentially growing tentacles; you kill it with fire at the source. In this case the "source" is Arikada and making her incapable of using seals is how we win this fight. Sealmasters know that punching is one of the most common forms of ninja combat and they know that they will lose in a straight up punching contest as they sit around all day making seals. Sealmasters are a wily lot and try to prepare for all known contingencies starting with the most likely to occur. I'm 90% sure that Arikada will just make another one of her own limbs explode again as soon as we try to punch it, or worse.

Let's not punch the lady that puts deadly explosives in her own body and laughs as she uses them.
