Actually, that's worse. The likeliest scenario if Snowflake loses her citizenship is that she goes back to being a foreign legal entity with Kei as her sponsor, meaning Kei has legal responsibility for whatever Snowflake does.
Missing-nin aren't people, though - that's how they don't count as leaks for clan secret purposes - so Kei-the-missing-nin can't be anybody's sponsor. Snowflake would simply be a foreign entity which Leaf has previously recognized the existence of, but (assuming Tenten also goes missing) has no current valid treaties with. Absent active hostilities, that's a blank slate which diplomacy could fill in all sorts of ways.

[X] Action Plan: Waiting
Word Count: <299
  • Sanity Check with Kei/Kagome
  • Wait for word of Nobs on the Seventh Path
    • Summon a member of the Horizon Chasers every DoB rest day. First swear them to secrecy, then ask if they've spotted any irregularities with Noburi on the Seventh Path
    • Ask them if Noburi has asked them to pass you any messages, be alert for passphrases indicating that the team has extracted from Leaf
    • If he has been seen after an absence or tried to pass word of extraction, meet with him.
    • Listen to the tale of extraction and pass him orders to meet us with his half of the team halfway to the chakra water cave in Wind. Obfuscate the final destination.
    • When meeting with the team, get there first, then set up a couple miles away in a concealed position with only a Summon at the meeting point. Wait for the Summon's confirmation it's safe before meeting with the rest of the team.
  • In the meantime, research Capacitors, then Icarus
    • No prep, yes DoB, reroll for safety only.
    • Read Sealing Notes on DoB rest days.
  • End the update if there hasn't been word of Nobs and Icarus is complete.

It's still useful for Kagome to even have 1- minute clones or 10-minute clones because, much as we forget, SC is just fucking busted in general

Shadow Clones might be instantly lethal to Kagome. Or, they could be substantially easier for him than for us. It's hard to tell how his sealing injury will interact with them. Will experiencing multiple timestreaks simultaneously be trivially easy for him or impossibly hard?

"Okay, where was I...? Oh, right, the memories. That's the important part. You'll recover a clone's memories when it pops, just as though they happened to you. The problem is that the human brain isn't designed to experience multiple timestreams at once—"

Kagome-sensei shifted uncomfortably.

"—and trying to do so can cause paranoia, delusions, and memory issues.

If we give Kagome Shadow Clone, it should be in a plan where we remind him about this and let him make his own choice about whether it's safe to proceed.

For that reason, I suggest we just do a normal interlude right now.

You're aware the implication there is that he already did that and that's why he's fucked up, yeah? 'Cause he didn't do the shadow clone training (that gets you the Hardened Mind aspect).

So what I'm hearing is Kagome is not Resolve limited on his shadow clones, having already experienced and survived a much more massive merging of timelines :V

(I approve of giving Kagome SC, but not in a plan that specifies nothing else to do. Hopefully the interlude will be accepted and it won't matter, but good practice to act as if it won't.)

My understanding is that a long time ago in this universe, a Cloud Sealmaster named Kagome Yu experienced a sealing failure that merged his mind with an unknown amount of parallel versions of himself.

As a result, he experiences paranoia, delusions, and memory issues like Jiraiya said would happen from a human brain experiencing multiple timestreams at once. He also sometimes tells us about things that one of his parallel selves learned (like the information about the Karasu that the Uchiha made sure was destroyed in this universe).

@faflec and @Inferno Vulpix, is that all correct to your understanding?

I believe it's unclear whether the existing parallel timestreams in Kagome's brain would make it more difficult for him to absorb new parallel timestreams from shadow clones. I could easily see him having a much higher TN to resist clone sickness or his existing parallel selves being accounted for in the amount of hours he has to resist once the clone dispels.

That seems risky, we should sanity-check with Orochimaru first.
No no no. We need to step into the rift and sanity-check with Nagato first.

Aha, but did he specify that it was conditional on not inflicting any edge cases on him, or on the office of the Hokage? Because unless he bothered to specify the latter in an official manner, I think the former should be assumed by default, and why, this stunt would certainly not involve inflicting any edge cases on Sarutobi Asuma.
You could even say that Hidan inflicted an edge case on him.

Hmm, I wonder what should I put in it. Try to commune with Jashin to negotiate, or go scout out Bear? Hm, hm.
No no. Ask Jashin to explain why we don't go to bear.

The Hazō Fanclub is going to be so mad at Kei when Snowflake marries Hazō :p
We should date Snowflake, then trick the Nara Keiko fanclub into thinking that Snowflake is Kei and that we're dating Kei. Because there's absolutely no way that it would end badly for us.

[x] Shadow Clone for Kagome
People, can we please make sure this doesn't win?

[X] Action Plan: Waiting
Just to make sure that this action plan beats Shadow Clone for Kagome this cycle.

In the rules, SSA is explained as
MfD Rules said:
Sealing Scroll Acolyte, a stunt that Hazō bought after his Out experience with the Pangolin Summoning Scroll. It gives him 2xTYS points on Sealing rolls (in his case, +24 as of chapter 613) at the cost of taking a Mild Consequence that lasts 48 hours.
Doesn't SSA stand for Summoning Scroll Acolyte?

When meeting with the team, get there first, then set up a couple miles away in a concealed position with only a Hazou SC at the meeting point. Wait for the SC's confirmation it's safe before meeting with the rest of the team.
Send a Dog specializing in detecting injury/lies/mind control genjutsu bullshit. Shadow Clones can be fooled more easily by Itachi as they are based on a human mind.

EDIT: Or a Pangolin, or an Arachnid.

You want to make a contract with and Summon this Dog?

A Dog that won't specialize in human minds and one that has never seen a genjutsu since it isn't used on the Seventh Path?

This uhhh doesn't seem worth it.

Genjutsu will be harder but we want a Dog capable of noticing that something's up with the team (coercion etc).

It's better than sending a SC which can be mindwhammy'd by Itachi.

Just send Canabisu, it's fine. He can talk to Mari and get her stamp of approval. If the Sages also sign off on Noburi (and ideally, inspect everyone else too) I think we're good.
