I've seen quests - and this is rare, but it does happen - where the dice roll smooth as silk. Where for one reason or another the dice gods always roll true, or at least almost always do.

To see another one is a rare sight, and definitely unexpected... or should I say, COMPLETELY EXPECTED?!?
Press X to doubt.

You feel as if something terrible has happened... somewhere else.

Oh well. Back to work.

Britta's Tacos was demolished today in what authorities are calling a 'freak burrito accident'. Police were quick to cordon off the area.

Set aside for later and roll again...
Four out of the seven Random Event Rolls are bad. That first one? Hopefully we'll be able to detect the source soon.

We should announce a charity banquet and auction where we'll be auctioning off the very first pet dinosaurs and other mundane but valuable objects

What's the charity banquet for? Why it's to raise funds for a tri-state area hydroponic farming subsidy / grant program (we'll be taking a tenth of it for the magic auction of course)

Well, if are going for the theropod cliche, we may as well go full Mongolian about it.

Meet Tarbosaurus Baatar, also known as the Mongolian Tyrannosaurus. His very name means Terrifying Lizard Hero. Can anyone think of a more suitable mount for the Khan of Khans?
Perfect. Jumba just needs to give it fully functional arms, and the ability to breathe plasma, and were set.

See, while this is using a small bit of info from the docs, which MIH may or may not use, not only can we try to reprogram AUTO... the bots outside of the Axiom that work for AUTO will probably try to drag any "pure human"(read: Non-Super and, probably, non-magical humans) into the Axiom so they become passengers. While this could get us an in... it would also limit the team to being all "pure humans". Anywho, reasoning for why we need highly skilled heroes:

Generalist: As the team lead they'll be the main hero who'll boost our rolls.
Learning: If we want to reprogram AUTO and/or the other AIs on the Axiom, while also hacking the Axiom's systems.
Intrigue: So we can sneak around the Axiom, evading guard bots.
Martial: To kill/destroy those guard bots if they find us.
Diplo: To convince the captain, the passengers, and possibly the "rogue robots", if there are any left, to help us defeat AUTO.
-Generalist: Mirage/Monogram
-Learning: Ludivine (though, Wendy is preferable due to previous experience, should recruit before taking quest)
-Intrigue: Tobe/Agent Russ
-Martial: Khan/Norm
-Diplomacy: Goofy
Any other suggestions?

For Xanadu? I think that's overkill.

I'd send Khan, Dennis, Janna, and Lizzy. Maybe Goofy if it isn't a vital diplomacy turn.

If we can't spare Mirage, Russ works as a pretty decent alt quest leader, especially with all his situational traits and bonuses.

We might not be able to spare him either though.

No no no no no no, this is for One Man's Trash. Sorry, I should have made that more clear. Xanadu, we can get away with a smaller, more occult-focused team

You... raise a fair point

That seems like a good team for the wasteland... though, I'd rather have Wile as the leader/generalist as he has higher Martial amd Learning stats.

Interlude: You Can Cleave Something Together...
You sigh as you rise back up from your comfy chair and your quiet evening. No time like the present. Whatever's going on with Janna and the reptile, you think you need to know.

It takes you a while to find her. You know this building like the back of your Inators, but the girl is hard to track when she doesn't want to be found. It takes more than a few employees pulled off their jobs before you clamber onto the roof of DEI, quietly and grudgingly thanking Temujin for all of those training sessions. Janna is staring out at the curtain of smog above you. She doesn't even have Feldrake with her.

You inch slowly along the curved purple roof until you can sit down next to her. "Janna. What's going on?"

"Heh." She snorts, refusing to look at you. "Just relaxin'."

"But, what happened down there…"

"It's not a big deal. Don't worry about it."

"Janna!" You say, finally fed up with her behavior. "That was a huge deal down there! A lot of people in Doofania will be angry at me if they find out I got handed corn a silver platter and I turned it down. So you will tell me what is going on this instant!"

Janna stares out over the smoggy chaos of Doofania.

"I'm scared." You hear, so quiet you can barely make it out.

"What?"

"I said I'm scared ok?!?!" Janna turned to you, face displaying human emotion for the first time since you've met her. "I don't know what to do! I can't control any of this! She left! And I was mad. But I get why she left, because a month later he was everywhere! Everyone got suckered; or intimidated, or something! Every day I woke up wondering if someone would be coming for me next."

You watch, dumfounded, as Janna becomes more and more frantic. "So Max showed up and I thought it might be the end, so I start punking him, just to buy time, except he seemed fine, so I thought, 'heck with it, you know? If I'm dying might as well be a blaze of glory', and then I came here and it seemed like I might actually be safe, and maybe I could do something. But now he's here, and he's got his hooks in, and I don't even know why I'm telling you thi-"

"Janna! Janna! Stop!" You yell, concerned and having no idea what to say. "I'm not taking the deal."

"You… you're not?"

"No. No, I shredded it. The card too."

Janna stares at you for a moment. Then she laughs.

"Heh. Haha." You watch as the laughter becomes hysterical, and verges into tears.

"I… I need help." She chokes out eventually. "I need to find Star. Marco went to find her. I don't think he did. Toffee's after her. I know he is."

"Okay, slow down. Who's Star? Who's Marco? And what's so bad about a lizard businessman from Arizona?"

Janna wipes her eyes and smiles ruefully. "He is so much worse than you think. He's not from Arizona. He's not from anywhere near Arizona."

"What, is he like an immigrant or something? That's not so bad, so am I!"

She snorts, then pauses for a few seconds as the snort turns into choked sobs.

"He's not from around here." She says at last, pausing for breath.

"He's from another dimension."

Who'd be the learning or the diplomat? We'd need both to take care of Auto and win over the passengers of the Axiom, respectively
Ah sorry just edited over. Coyote will be the leader as he had experience in the wasteland and a good general stat, Technor the diplomat as he is well....a robot and will be better to apply logical reasoning to AUTO, Monogram for Intrigue, and Lizzie for back up and Learning.

I like those 4 for wasteland. It also keeps Temujin and Russ available for other things.
