Ask Orochimaru if he would be willing to let Hazou have Deidara's eyepiece to attempt to replicate it. We have some experience with optics.
This is minor but I would just go with 'ask Orochimaru for Deidara's eyepiece'. No need to grovel, it's probably busted.
Bury any Ninja-Radar deep and wrap in LFE.
I would really like to do this *last*. If anyone starts moving on us we're going to want a lot of warning.
Search the Sasori-fortified portion of the labs, be sure to grab any of his seals that remain.
I guess we can use Sannin SCs but I expect these areas to be trapped and treacherous. Worse, they might have some shielding and be hiding Sasori or some jonin or something. I don't really know what to do about that but I'd like to be extremely careful.
Open a deep shaft for the Superchiller, and set LFEs to collapse the tunnel.
I'd like to do this ASAP.

A rough time bound would probably be a good idea. How long do we want to spend here before modifying our approach?

[X] Action Plan: Aftermath

Cannai is the best boy. What can we do to help him in his war against Leopard?

Throw the Pangolin Scroll into Naraka.

While traveling, Kei has bargained with Pantsā for contracts with additional elite combat summons, offering herself for an additional deployment in Pangolin's wars once the Riftwar has concluded. This has cleared her Leadership stagnancy, but may put her into a deployment in Leopard, fighting against Dogs. She is not happy about this, but accepts that if Hazō is getting biosealed, she too must make sacrifices to take down Akatsuki.

Break Kei's arms

Maybe some more Bioseals?

I think we should be fine; runic drag makes the things fall at a rate of 1 inch/minute, so even if we dropped it immediately and left at dawn (dusk to dawn is around 12hr?) we still would not make it fall deep enough to truly matter. It would go like 18 meters in that time. I don't think 18 meters of lost warning is worth much.

EDIT: The only difficulty is that someone would need to be watching the thing while it's underground, I suppose.

The air was thinner up here. Leaf's ninja were flagging, and Hidan wasn't. Did he not need to breathe? Or was he just able to ignore the damage that not breathing was doing to his body, the same way he'd ignored being flayed and Rasengan'd and everything else? There was no mistake about it, though. Little by little, the gap between them had stopped narrowing, and started to widen.

The idea that lack of oxygen is a matter of doing damage goes back at least as far as Beowulf. He was able to walk around under water just because he was so tough. In the real world we know that it amounts to a lack of fuel. Damage only happens later because of a lack of maintenance of body functions. I suppose that cartoon physics can be part of Naruto canon but my understanding was that we were trying to be more realistic so it shouldn't be part of our canon. On the other hand, I suppose this could just be the narrator representing the perception of the characters involved.

If Hidan has a fresh trail, suggest we send a fully refilled Tsunade, Orochimaru, Mari, and Kurenai with Canvass to hunt him down.
I think the failure mode of this plan is something like: "Hidan has a lucky impulse to return to the rift along a different path, and shows up while our Hidan-killing team is hours behind, following the start of his trail. Hazou now needs to stop him personally".

So I'd suggest Leaving behind one Sanin, or having Hazou make another Force Dome/Iron Earth, and carefully watch the radar for incoming ninja.

Or make an elevated invisible position with 3xRER(test-fired!) and radar to splat him, then let Noburi drain the corpse.

But whatever your plan for Hidan's abrupt return is, have *a* plan.

Sift the rubble with ES, SC and chakrascopes, bring in the rest of the Leaf ninja to help look for the Rift
I'd like to add a note of scanning the rubble with ninja radar first.
Sure, we think it's obvious, but that doesn't always guarantee that Hazoupilot will have done it.

Raise the ground where the fortress was to kill Unsummoners
Would a lattice of BRI spikes be a chakra-efficient way to add an extra zone of height to the mound?

Does anyone have any other ideas what we can give them?
Is seems like all Leopards have a strong shadow-element stealth jutsu that's pretty foundational to their combat style.

Make a long-lasting seal that sounds an alarm when Shadow element is used nearby.
Or a seal that aggressively highlight active Shadow jutsu(makes them glow or whatever).

....Actually, Kei already has one busted stealth Jutsu in Cloak of the Reaper, if she got another in Shadow Element she'd completely outstrip her opponents alertness, and Snowflake would be a perfect assassin/scout.
I don't think we can steal the Leopard one(Hazou lacks Shadow Element, Kei lacks TH), but it's something to think about.

An amped up version of this, perhaps? Or maybe we can try to teach them Konoha's Perpetual Light technique.

Invisibility Detection Seal

Difficulty: Jōnin
Movable: No
Components: 3
Duration: 1 hour

Makes nearby chakra glow. There will be a soft ambient glow everywhere and otherwise-invisible chakra constructs become visible.

Charming. The Sakamoto Clan has always been irritating. Shall we make a weekend of it?
I could be convinced, Oro. If we could take some live samples, I think there's a lot we could learn.
Come speak with me.

So leave Orochimaru behind; he needs to work on moving the rift anyway.

Speaking of rifts, though: Orochimaru already knows that Hazou can perfectly copy seals and runes at a look. Is it worth collaborating with him on the rift-moving operation by producing rune blanks for him to infuse?

We simply said: you win, he loses. Done.
So to be clear, Deidara's ability to avoid the Sannin clones, the RER flak blasts and Enma's staff for as long as he did was not due to game mechanics? It was due to considerations to make the chapter of his being stomped narratively satisfying? Personally I don't have a problem if that's the case, since a chapter where he dies immediately would have been boring to read (and probably write) and either way the end results are the same, but I still think we should know so as to stop trying to analyze the abilities of future fliers to avoid these kinds of attacks based on the narrative events of this fight. Or alternatively, if any of those scenes were actually based on Deidara's or his dragon's skills, can we please learn what, if anything, we can conclude when it comes to mechanical interactions between RERs and winged fliers?

What is rapid regeneration if not fuel ex nihilo? Or, I guess, it could also be extradimensional fuel storage. Either way, whatever the mechanism, if it can lead to a human-proportioned biological to regrow body parts at speeds visible to the eye without consuming lots of foodstuff at the same time then it can just as plausibly also keep a humanoid functional in low oxygen environments.

Actually if we detect him I'm going to end the update. I can't come up with a decent plan of attack in 20 words and I don't want to drop 200 into the plan on the small chance we detect him.

We've been monitoring the interior of the FD this entire time.

@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped

Did Hazoupilot monitor the rubble for survivors with Ninja Radar? Do we need to additionally specify that he should do this?

@faflec did we ever figure out if Dogs were capable of learning human ninjutsu?

Seems like this technique would be a great thing to teach them right now, since the Leopards presumably don't have all the countermeasures Shikamaru's ancestor designed.
After some discussion, Ebisu is prepared to try teaching Canun, with a hefty fee to account for risks of dangerous chakra interaction, plus the difficulty of teaching someone who can't take damage.
"I spoke with Ebisu," Hazō continued. "He's finding it interesting and a little frustrating to train Canun. Apparently there's a real challenge to teach an elemental nature to someone who can't make handseals, can't take a flick of the switch, doesn't have a human bodyplan, and already has two elemental natures not known on our path. Canun is grumbling but feeling generally pleased. In another couple of weeks he'll be willing to sign a pact with me. Put together an appropriate ceremony."
Since Canun is now contracted with Hazou, I think we can assume that they can. With some difficulty.

@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped

Any chance (any of us) got an unstagnation from that?

For Hazou specifically, I would argue that using his runecraft skills in a live environment where failure could have (for all he knew at the time, not knowing the battle was more or less already won) lost everything is probably sufficient stakes for an unstagnation in either sealing or combat. (I'd argue it's more of one for sealing.)

Well. I think I know what carrot we can use to convince some of Dog's renowned technique hackers to make [OP Dog Technique X] human-useable.

Granted, the Gōketsu doesn't have that many OP techniques of our own to offer, but we do have a few….

Orochimaru's projected return to Leaf will take possibly a month, but our biosealed chakra coils will require maintenance/removal within said month. Should Hazou request that Orochimaru perform the surgery now?

Or we could request it never. Never sounds pretty good.

Even if you fully trust Oro, we should get those out ASAP so our family can trust us again.
