I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

I don't think he can/would be comfortable doing that yet, and he's probably been too busy to think about it. If we send them too him he'd probably not make them take the Retainer Oaths, but they'd probably instead be more like Snerra's Beerguard (assuming of course there's any difference between the beerguard and the hearthguard)?

That's the vibe I'm getting.

Well, the Beerguard are a Purple, and the Hearthguard are a Blue.

Which is kind of amusing to me in a weird way.

Thinking some more about the firebird feathers, just looking up the phoenixes of Ulthuan is interesting in terms of what resonance, for want of a better word, their feathers may carry.

They nest on the pillars of rock around the main Shrine of Asuryan (an Old One step pyramid), and are sacred to him, and have developed a mastery of the Aqshy that swirls around the pillars on its way to the Isle of the Dead where the Great Vortex is.

Asuryan is interesting as his symbol and part of his legend is as fire eternally reborn from the stone. There are some connections you could make between his thematics and Valaya's in terms of fire and stone and particularly life giving fire.

Rune armor can be destroyed down to shards and so long as the runes themselves remain undamaged it can be fully recovered. Same should be the case for limbs, just in this case there are some minor modifications.

Because of this I realy hope in future when Snorri will better understand Winds to make himelfs some manner of talisman to percive them. Maybe an eyepatch with a fake eye made of all jewls/metals that Brana use as Winds names. With next step of "The Mind of Things" we should be capable of connecting such vision to Dwarf's mind.

And later on maybe eight staffs with custom Master Runes of [Wind Name] to actualy manipulate those Winds

I mean... It'd be nice if Dolgi was the first one to get Brana as retainers. But I'm not passing this chance up.
 
Well it's not like Dolgi has exclusive rights to everything Branakroki and is gonna sue us for copyright infringement if we accept them. And I agree with the reasoning about Orra's stance on the limbs lending itself to a subdued ceremony along with the political ramifications it'll have. So.

Woo more rune metal progress. We might be able to get part 5 down to a 2 or 3 action turn soon. With the free action next turn, I think we should either do odd places just to get the closer to finishing or put 1 action into understanding MPurification so we get a baseline for how long it will take to finish.

Lol yeah, though I more meant the oaths the Beerguard and Hearthguard have sworn. I don't think we really know if they've sworn the Retainer Oaths?
