We really don't need to spend time to solve problems we aren't equipped to solve.

Is it possible to suggest to Shikamaru that Leaf might outright work directly with Sand to find the scroll on the condition that if successful, they will join the war against Rock?

Also, I would like Hazo discuss 3D sealing, maybe even delve into 3D geometry.

I think we also don't want them to do that, not at least while they're acting on Kei's info. Better that it just looks like they didn't take the bait, rather than that they had insider intel (in a case where I assume there are very few paths by which intel can get back to them).

Here she literally says the opposite. I am sure we should deal with a complex political problem by "Ask everyone" and "Inform summoner".

We really aren't helping anyone by turning her into an information leak, it's really just a bad situation for the Condors. But symphaty alone isn't going to save them.

2) If Hokage really wants false flag against Sand then advise to enter Sand surreptitiously using various long distance scouting measures (flying condors, sniffing dogs, Hyuuga eyes, Aburame bugs, etc.). Once false flag is done, switch to fully surreptitious and avoid contact except as necessary to gather intel on the Scroll. Go to last known location of Summoner, follow known/predicted route, gather intel, and find scroll.

3) Ruri - optimize with Shikamaru and Mari, consider with them if Hokage should be informed and do so if they weigh in favor. Pass on the substance of Kei's messages to Ruri without attribution: Pangolins visiting Condor is intentional incitement/trap for Condor resistance and Condor informants may be compromised/provided false information. Hazou reached this conclusion on his own, might be wrong, but consider the harm if he's right. If Asuma was informed communicate that a well, it's not being treated as just a crazy theory by Hazou.

4) Go back and tell Kumokōgō and Canabisu the outcome of the mission and what intel was gained, tell Cannai: tell him you failed to protect the pack and you'll accept any penalty he feels is appropriate, be honest and fully contrite. Do not argue with him, he will be grieving.

Can we also try burning chakra spidersilk that has been locked with 5bs? Concern is that the dragons might burn the skysliders in front of them.

Also, we know the Rat or some other clan has a current summoner in the Crimson State, which is out of the way of the EN, but a potential trade partner.

None of which are issues to me. The worst that Asuma can say is 'no' to Noburi. But why? It means that you can't use Hazo in strategic strike.

Also, we're accessing Seals that would be available to us anyway. It might set off alarm bell for simply being an unusual request.

But i would adda a Sanity check

Requires a sanity check, personally i like the plan, but my priority is putting Akane in the Otter mission, one with some solid back-up (or Hazou to help her survive). @Shrooms @Ipsos Custodes @Sentient Tree. Could i suggest changing "Aburame" for "[X] (OtterRec) Hazou, Condor Summoner, a Hyuuga, Akane, and an Earth ninjutsu specialist.". An Aburame cannot use the insects to see IIRC, so it would relatively useless as a stealth options, on top of that it's recognizable and probably weaker than Akane, because Asuma cannot spare two Jounins on a long-term mission. The alternative is Akane going on frontline missions until she dies, and i don't really this idea.
Even adding Akane the OtterRec is fine for me, personally.

I'm concerned about probing Asuma about the rest of the seals when we already did so for Jinchuuriki seals and have done nothing with them. It makes us look soooort of sketchy, imo.

E: I'd be more comfortable with this if we we were doing anything explicit to pursue 3D sealing there, and had information we could provide Asuma on exactly how that's helping us do so.

We're helping the Condors, for what that's worth. Beyond that, Kei might now expect the Condors to be aware that it's a trap and plan accordingly, so we want to be dependable.

Seal greed doesn't. I was just hoping Hazo gets an aspect upgrade or something. Or something really cool happened.

Anyway, for replacement suggestion,I suggest we hire a scholar in geology to find and catalogue all the rocks, with an eye toward rocks that resembles the Great Seal the most. Or we could ask Kagome and others what's likely the best way to achieve 3D sealing. We already know that wooden carved seal is somehow possible.

It would also be great if Hazo actually started learning the geometry book as opposed to just collecting them.

Also, don't let the Condor try harder to kill Kei.

Best to vote for Otters Hunters - Stealth Action if we want Yuno and Akane to go on that particular mission instead of the other potentially dangerous ones.

...That said, I'm all for buying a copy of every seal in Leaf available and personally funding the team to be equipped with the best of them.

It's really something we should have done forever ago.
