Well, Kagome can still do that (as seen in Chapter 74). Hazo doesn't actually know that though, so it's hard to exploit this ability within the confines of the story. Plus, it might be a really bad idea to bring attention to the fact that Kagome still has this ability and can remember everything.

We did spend a whole update trying to remember things, and found out that we can't surpass the Grue, with QM confirmation. So at least we know to spend time on other terrifying forbidden lore.

well, first time comenting on this plataform, i am not sure of the protocol for sugestions from a newcome who just binged the whole story so bear whit me. that out of the way i just wanted to give my two cents on jonin aura.

i think that the bloodline limit is missleading, so far most people whit killing inten have been clanless. in itachi's case i tink is because he considers his cheeting eyeballs to be esential to his identity, same as the will of fire is for the sarutobi. if we follow this line of logic (that may be flaw) the joning aura manifest has something that is essential to your being, if you sudently lost it, the being that inabits your body would no longe be you. a hazo whitout the iron nerv is still hazo.

so what is the manifestation of everytingh that he is?, the sky.

is hard to express how much sense this makes without getting into a speech, but is perfect for his ideology, is perfect for his caracter, is perfect in the sence that he could use that neat trick that sarutobi senior and jr love so much, you either stay in line or suffer.

you either uphold to the uplif ideal in wich case the aura is just wander and sunrises as the whiew from a skytower or you try to act againts it and a enless fall awaits you.

edit: has instead of as.

Welcome to the thread! How did you find the story?
@eaglejarl because he always likes to ask new hivemind members.

As for commenting, just pitch any ideas forward. @ someone to ping individual people specifically. And you can vote for as many plans as you're inclined each update, it's an approval voting system.

Welcome! Nice to have you. There's no real protocol aside from "Be nice". Also, feel free to engage in speeches if you like.

[X]Action Plan: Eldritch Cooperation 2.0

  • A minimal decrease in efficiency for the emotional benefit of any of Goketsu isn't worth it.
This was a bit confusing, it sounds like we're the ones saying it... But I'm guessing you are trying to state what we perceived her actions to be saying? Maybe instead:

"You're telling us that a minimal increase in efficiency at the cost of emotional harm to the Goketsu is worth it to you"

  • Normally it's ok. Because ninja. But she forgets the fact we're family
Has she actually accepted us as family? If not this should maybe be softened by adding "at least transitively through Keiko".

"ligtning up the darkness" up to chapter 30 and then team hanko in fanfiction.net, i diced to look why was it taking so long for velorien to update and follow him here.

also, any opnions on the jonin aura?

PSA: The day is upon us! The players have attained the Power of Creation Itself. One use only. Some restrictions apply. Batteries not included. Void if QMs are annoyed, or had a bad day, or are feeling taken advantage of, or just generally cranky.

After much QM-side discussion we have acknowledged two key facts:
  1. We need a character sheet for Haru.
  2. We don't have the energy to create it or do more than basic maintenance.
Harū's character sheet is here: Gōketsu Haru It's currently world-edit, but once it's finalized we will probably return it to QM-only.

Pre-emptive answers to a few questions:
  • There are a few jutsu listed that he has been shown to have. They must be bought up to an appropriate level.
  • He may get other techniques that are not listed. See the list of non-elemental techniques in the jutsu doc, and you can suggest mechanics for new non-elemental or lightning-element jutsu.
  • He may get other stunts etc. Player-known stunts are here and here.
  • We need a design for the Lightning Bucklers jutsu that he's been shown to use. Keep in mind that he's a poor, clanless genin with an elemental nature that is relatively uncommon so it can't be wildly OP. There was a tentative ruleset used for it somewhere that might be appropriate but would require review. @faflec ?

@faflec : Did we miss anything (jutsu, etc) that he should have?

Obviously, everything is subject to QM approval but beyond that, go nuts.

Sorry, missed this:
NOTE: We haven't actually specced out Haru's Lightning Bucklers jutsu yet. @Velorien and @OliWhail are both unavailable right now so I'm going to fudge something together based off of Akane's Flame Aura jutsu. That works by giving you an "On Fire" Aspect and (Effect) tags on that Aspect each round. (i.e., it's a buff that scales with your skill in the jutsu) The tags can be passed to teammates and used on any relevant skill. I'm going to restrict Lightning Bucklers as follows: It gives you the "Lightning Fists" Aspect with (Effect) tags on it each round, but the tags can only be used on Taijutsu, cannot be passed to others, and apply to all Taijutsu rolls made that round. Additionally, the Bucklers convert your Taijutsu into Energy damage, so physical armor does not apply. As with Flame Aura, the Lightning Buckler tags give a bonus based on the level of LB, not whatever skill you're using them with. I'm not sure how long the jutsu should last ; for now I'm going to assume that it lasts the entire fight but I'm actually inclined more towards only a few rounds. It'll depend on what we get when we spec it out. but it doesn't matter because the fight only lasted one round. *sigh* This may not be how we do Lightning Bucklers in the future. Also, the final version might end up being less powerful as compared to what we see here.

Is that a thing that can actually happen? As in, if we increased our $$$ we could buy Waterfalls?

No. It was hyperbole for the sake of example.

Like are we a major producer of salt and/or ice already?

No. You've left that one fallow. The salterns are still sitting there but have not been harvested yet.

And what's the state of the koi pond or the lost Mist nin that was supposed to set it up?

The koi are installed and there are Mist staff caring for them. The missing ninja remains a mystery. The piscitists are saying that there is a balancing act between using the koi for chakra and letting them grow and breed. They breed approximately once a year under very specific conditions (water temperature, food, etc) and have a 1-year maturation period before they are capable of breeding. If you draw on them for chakra then they will not breed. Assuming you want to grow your stock then you should not draw chakra from them for another 6-9 months.

Is the fire goat farm still a thing or have they all consumed each other?

My recollection is that it never got set up because Noburi did some estimates and decided that it would be impractical. @faflec ?

Are we using the barrier seals in any other cutting business than wood?

Not to my knowledge.

And lastly, am I forgetting any of these that have been mentioned before and/or are there any that haven't been mentioned but you think we should know about anyway?

Not to my knowledge, no, and compound-sentence questions are confusing. :p

How does that compare to our estimates when it comes to the wealth of thr Hyūga or the Nara? Have we become the richest clan in Leaf?

They are richer because they've had generations to build wealth.

Well, Kagome can still do [henge] (as seen in Chapter 74). Hazō doesn't actually know that though, so it's hard to exploit this ability within the confines of the story. Plus, it might be a really bad idea to bring attention to the fact that Kagome still has this ability and can remember everything.

Note that henge was grued during the Chūnin Exams, so everything before that is not evidence to Kagome's abilities regarding it. To the best of my knowledge he has not been shown able to use henge since then, although he is still aware that it exists.

Note that Hazō is not aware that Kagome is immune to the memory-modification of the grue, nor that the grue exists. By QM fiat he will not be able to discover either of these facts.

You have started the process of assembling a chakra-beast farm for Noburi to drain from. At this point it's only a couple of pens with some firegoats inside. The goats have an unfortunate habit of eating one another but you're working on it.
"Thank you, sir," he said finally, choosing to leave the issue. "Anyway, as to the chakra drain thing...it bothers me, sir. I'm not always full at the end of the day, but that's fine—I'm never below half and I've got more chakra than your average jōnin. Your average pair of jōnin, probably. The flip side of that, of course, is that there's a lot of Leaf ninja running around at below their max because of my needs."

"I'm grateful that you're thinking about that," Asuma said, giving him a respectful nod. "It shows the Will of Fire."

Noburi paused, clearly a little flummoxed by that. "Um...thank you, sir. Hazō is working on it—he wants to capture a bunch of animals to use as a chakra farm, but I've run the numbers and I'm not convinced it can work. Most of the smaller animals around here don't have a lot of chakra and even with the large ones we would need dozens. The logistics of it are challenging."
We also have one lightning technique from the pangolin.
IIRC we never took that, we got PCJ, Ghost Scales, Pantokrator's Hammer, PEA, and Exploring Tongue.

Didn't we take it for Kagome? (and possible Mari (and even more technically Jiraiya because he had all five elements?))

Jiraiya and Mari agree that Pangolin Flash would be extremely useful to ninja who were properly specced for it, but don't think it's as useful for the clan as some of the others. Kagome, on the other hand, was extremely excited to hear about it, and strongly recommended getting it since "some people in the clan" would be able to use it to "outrun the stinkers and get real close before they can do anything and boom squish 'em real dead real fast"

e: Ah no you're right, we got PCJ for the whole clan.

No, actually, you're right, I misremembered the original deal with the Pangolins to be "5 jutsu, of which one is PCJ" instead of "5 jutsu, and also PCJ". My mistake.
"So," Keiko said carefully, "the upfront payment will be three pounds of diamonds, the full-time availability of Pankurashun and five elite pangolin of my choice, plus the training jutsu for each member of Gōketsu and five other jutsu of our choice. After that, we agree to a monthly payment of sixty pounds of gold in exchange for ninety of the Pantokrator's Judging Eyes." She paused, considering, then nodded. "My clan leader will probably be angry with me for doing such a poor job of bargaining but I suspect he'll accept the deal rather than shaming me by forcing me to go back on my word with such an important ally as the Pangolin Clan."
The jutsu received from the Pangolin clan, are, officially:
  1. Pantokrator's Communion
  2. Ghost Scales Technique
  3. Pantokrator's Hammer Technique
  4. Earth Release: Pangolin Earth Armor
  5. Lightning Release: Pangolin Flash Technique

So before the Exams the henge was working normally? Out of curiosity, what was going on with Kagome's henge back in Chapter 74 then?
Kei shuddered. "Speaking of seeing things!" she blurted. "Kagome, Agent White said that your transformation was excellent. Can you tell us a little more about your abilities there? How much of your mass can you change?"

Kagome froze, his spoon stuck in his mouth and his eyes flicking around defensively. "Fum?" he mumbled. He chewed and gulped the spiced chicken down. "Some?" he repeated.

"So, more than half?"
Kagome is not willing to talk more about his henge; when the subject is brought up he seems more embarrassed than anything else.
Did he have some other, even-better form of the henge that was wiped out before the story started?

The broad strokes of the chapter are canon. However, the details of the fight may not have been exactly the same, and we suggest not using it as reference material in character or combat analysis.
Thanks, Velorien!

Alright, Haru's had 2 fights which showcased some of his stats: Team Clanless Sparring and Metal to the Core. These chapters showed him with these stats:
Team Clanless SparringMetal to the Core
Athletics26
Alertness2630-40
Taijutsu26<53*
Stealth15
*minus boost effects...though Pantokrator's Hammer can't count as Akane was referenced using it...

Additionally, Noburi in Chapter 308 described Haru as "like an ogre" given his tendency to rush in to soak up hits in exchange for damage, and considered him to be pretty fast. So his Athletics, Physique, and Taijutsu are all probably his core attributes, with Alertness and Lightning Bucklers as his secondary. Other things like Intimidate, FotLG, and PH are likely upper-level, but not as high.
So before the Exams the henge was working normally? Out of curiosity, what was going on with Kagome's henge back in Chapter 74 then?

Did he have some other, even-better form of the henge that was wiped out before the story started?
Oh, yeah. We had another shift—henge is gone. No one remembers it, of course, anymore than they remember the anthrazi, or that watermelon used to be sour, or there was another color beyond red, or that Wind used to have gliders. Idiots. How do you forget that you used to be able to fly?! I mean, I still remember being able to become a chakra eagle—I should, I sure spent enough time practicing! That shifted out a long time ago, though. And sure, all of the gliders disappeared and every reference book that had mentioned them turned blank and all the glider makers and pilots thought that they were simply idiots who had never done anything with their lives and that's why they were destitute.
He was probably thinking about a previous version of Henge which allowed animal transformation.

So apparently this happened, but it was mentioned outside of a chapter.

Later on, in the chapter where Noburi asks Asuma for tacit permission to steal some koi, Noburi also says that most beasts don't have enough chakra. But presumably Hazō and Noburi wouldn't have gone through the process of penning up multiple dangerous cannibal monsters if they weren't at all worth draining in the first place. So what happened with those?
