The one which has been referenced since the update?

Does the Uzumaki clan have extra chakra reserves in this universe? If so, would be interesting to know if the effects are linear or multiplicative. Maybe Naruto's 5x the average jinchuuriki just from that.

errr... my understanding was that the Senju-tree weren't chakra-rich, but instead very robust and good at self-improvement as part of the meta-narrative dichotomy of natural talent vs hard work.

Ami said something about "everyone thinks the Uzumaki have a hidden bloodline," so maybe they do? Or it could just be that the most well-known Uzumaki (Kushina and Naruto) also happened to be Jinchuuriki, which lead to that rumor. To the best of our knowledge, Naruto is the only surviving Uzumaki, so unless he has children that have huge reserves, we'll likely never know.

I'm telling you, the setup where we control Kagome on @eaglejarl's updates and Keiko (or Snowflake! that'd be even more interesting) on @Velorien's updates would be perfect. It'd maximize everyone's happiness!
I don't know, I like the idea of a completely new character (or a rare side character) the taking stage. That way we get to see the Goketsu, Uplift, and the effects of Hazou's life from an outside perspective.

Keep in mind, our original thought was that you would be dying early and often, and after you died we'd continue with a new character. By this point, I'm invested enough in these characters that I'm not sure I'd want to move to another POV if Hazō died. It might be better to write the best possible wrapup arc we could and then move to a different quest.

Rational bleach quest whe-pfthahaha I couldn't even finish!

I'm reluctant to admit that I'm not sure what you mean. Bearing in mind that I've never read the series and only watched the first season until "flashback to another flashback" convinced me that I had better things to do with my time, my background research for the quest seems to show a consistent pattern. Kishimoto outright said that the dynamic between Naruto and Sasuke and its finale werr pretty much the only thing planned from the start long before it ever happened.

Indra vs Asura, Sauske vs Naruto, Kakashi vs Gai, Ino vs Sakura. The whole thing seems to be classical dialectic based around in-born and painfully acquired virtues with a synthesis planned from the start. It was even made literal when Naruto married Hinata.

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Technically, true. At least for you mortals. I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

The notion of swapping between characters every update is downright awesome. If nothing else, it'll capture the hivemind's schizophrenia.

[] Joke Plan: Immortality and A Modest Proposal Thereof

  • Abandon Puppers.
  • Immediately begin training in medicine (specifically anatomy and biology), learning from Noburi, Kabuto, Tsunade, and then finally Orochimaru.
  • Combine this knowledge with sealing, becoming a bio-sealmaster.
  • Invent horcruxes.
  • Make horcruxes.
  • Stay away from prophesied Chosen Ones, especially if they're small infants with loving parents.

I would love a Rational Hunter X Hunter quest

This is such a good idea! The more I think about it the more I love it.

The setting is already relatively rational so it wouldn't need nearly as much changing to work, unlike something like Bleach. And the combat system is a munchkin's dream. Intricate battle plans involving creative uses of Nen perfectly fits us players!

The only concern I could see is that it's not a deathworld, so there's no inherent incentive to be something besides a safe civilian.

Being targeted by an assassin group like Spider should neatly fix that lack of pressure however.

See? See, everyone? This is how you do a joke plan: You label it as a joke plan AND YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY VOTE FOR IT.

Well done, RandomOTP.

Cowboy Beebop.

Sorry, that's just my reflexive response to anything. At least it's likely to involve more mushrooms than spreadsheets.

Speaking of, challenge: a gritty and coherent manifestation of the Super Mario Brothers universe.
