Taylor suddenly raised her head.

"What?" asked Brian.

"I just... I just got the inexplicable feeling that somewhere out there... it's lunchtime."

Lisa's eyes widened.

"And what's more," Taylor continued, with a growing sense of horror, "that there are people, a whole load of people, in a bad headspace waiting for the other shoe to-"

Lisa barely pushed them to the ground fast enough.

I think Eaglejarl implied that there was a chance we could get the scroll without having to run away immediately. We don't necessarily need to fight and escape, especially if this assault leads to our enemies amongst the Elder Council being shamed and loosing their position. Keiko is going to be an important religious personality if she becomes the summoner...

Though i agree, more points in a combat skill are never bad.
I was more implying that if she failed the trial we'd probably end up stealing the scroll and getting out.

@eaglejarl Will we have a vote before we leave the village? We do have to decide whether to take Yuno, though it is not as much Hazou's decision this time.

Yes.

Have the dice been kind?

So-so. I'm actually rewriting a lot of what I did yesterday. Between the multiple-combatant bonuses and some buffs that the Mountain ninja get because [spoilers] it took quite a while to figure out what the dice totals should be for all involved.

I was pretty pleased when the village nin rolled 2,582 on their initial TacMov, though.

Enraged at infidels +6 dice.

What between them or was that the highest?

*sigh*

Code:
class Corpse(object):
    def __init__(self, name):
        self.name = name
    is_alive = False

hazou = Corpse('Hazou')
noburi = Corpse('Noburi')
keiko = Corpse('Keiko')
akane = Corpse('Akane')

So wait, how do the TacMov die stack on each other? I understand combat bonuses in terms of people attacking at once making for a more dangerous overall attack, but it doesn't seem intuitive for TacMove to stack upon itself because people normally wouldn't be able to help each other run faster without slowing themselves down.

Right. Guess lack of entertainment means they just do free running all day. Every day. Forever.

How much XP would that even cost?

And if most of these dice is bonus vs infidels we need to find faith, asap.

Formation movement should be done at the lowest TM of the group, or else you get a strung out mess of a formation leading to the fastest guys getting killed before the rest of the group can get to the front line to be of any help. It might be the Tapir who are the speedy cavalry, chakra boosting is a thing for animals too. Most of those bonus dice they have is from the massive amount of preparation time they got plus home ground advantage from putting us in their cave. They also cut down on the amount of preparation dice bonus Kagome was trying to go for by moving us away from his fort that he wallpapered with seals.

This makes sense.

This doesn't tho. The whole point of moving to the cave was because it's more defensible. I don't see how we can have less 'defense' dice here than at first camp :|

There are too many ninja + tapirs for me to roll them individually. All of their rolls are as a group, on the theory that with numbers this high it would average out.

TacMov doesn't stack.

Battle suggestion: Kagome uses his barrier technique on a raised platform to provide something to put our backs to; alternatively, make a knee-high force barrier or something so Kei has an artillery platform.
