Ohh, right. Added.
I thought they were supposed to stay in Mist until the merchants were ready to go?However, if you really want to send a message, I remind you that we already made arrangements for Leaf ninja to visit Mist as escorts.
[x] A Chunk Of The Previous Plan That Could At Least In Theory Fit In One Update
Wordcount: 271.
- Family discussions (HNK + Akane, Mari, Kagome):
- Mari:
- Update her on our recent actions.
- What is her strategy for swinging votes?
- How successful she expects to be?
- What is needed to increase her chances of success?
- Adopting Lee:
- He's talented, and now without support.
- We could mitigate his personality to minimize friction (soundproofing, house rules...).
- Keiko:
- Did Tenten agree to be adopted?
- Does she want Ami to attend the wedding? Would it be safe to send her an encrypted message?
- Where are Hyenas'/Leopards' Scrolls?
- Noburi: Suggest he schedule an appointment with Kabuto, to test bloodline interactions with SC/Summoning.
- Kagome: Give him Jiraiya's sealing notes (remove evidence of your OPSEC blunder beforehand).
- Evaluate feasibility of the following:
- Getting the support of the Akasugi Organisation against Hiashi (blackmail information, money).
- Review Jiraiya's notes.
- Snatching the Snake Scroll:
- Step 1: Go to the Tower and convince the ANBU to give it to us. We're the Godaime's clan, represent a significant fraction of Leaf's military power, plus the ANBU were loyal to Jiraiya personally. Should be doable. (Use Jiraiya's order to save the world as an excuse?)
- Step 2: Jointly establish Hazou and Noburi as new Summoners, with summons' public acknowledgment.
- A Pangolin-Snake-Toad alliance:
- Preexisting allies and our seals would make it unstoppable.
- Our condition: Snakes support Gouketsu summoners.
- Bonus: Gives us more avenues to pressure Pangolins into improving conquered clans' treatment.
- Offering Pangolins a selection of seals to buy, in exchange for:
- Improved treatment of conquered nations.
- Jutsu, especially conquered nations'.
- Valuables.
- Solving Skytower-deal concerns via:
- Selling seals using Toad intermediaries.
- Transferring the Scroll's direct ownership to the Gouketsu.
We don't need to use a special courier. We just need a trustworthy ninja. Because we as lord Gōketsu are the highest authority in Leaf right nowCourier ninja are either carrying diplomatic messages or orders/supplies for cities and outposts, no? What exactly is the protocol for interacting with a courier ninja carrying message that's not Kage level?
Why would a ninja clan have relatively urgent interaction with foreigner?
Why not consider a vote to continue the previous plan as a plan with a '0' wordcount?Just so we're all on the same page: If the vote is to continue the plan then there will only be one XP award for the whole plan, and it's going to have the +0 bonus for being 399 words.
If you choose to vote in a substantially different plan then that's cool, but it does need to be clearly and substantially different. If it's basically just part of the previous plan, even with some slight expansion, I'm going to consider that the same plan.
Because that is just abusing the system. You could write a bunch of instructions in a Google doc and then make a plan that is "Follow the instructions in the linked Google doc". The plan in thread would have very little word count but the QMs wouldn't be happy with you.Why not consider a vote to continue the previous plan as a plan with a '0' wordcount?

I thought they were supposed to stay in Mist until the merchants were ready to go?
All changes since I posted the plan:
Maybe talking to Ami just isn't that important after all? We've got resources locally that are pretty damn competent and Ami couldn't get in country to help us directly anyway.
I at least would love to run Ninja Polotics Civ Quest, but I don't know that MfD would work well for itAnyway a thought that as Clan Head things are necessarily different.
Loyalty quest mechanics?
Voting perhaps for long-term, vague strategies more dependent on aspects to succeed?
Yes, and the backup to that plan was Keiko hiring Mist ninja as escorts, not Keiko sending Leaf ninja to Mist. That was the original plan, then Jiraiya yanked absolutely everybody he could of to Nagi, and had the few remaining chuunin escort the genin home.
A speculation so optimistic it naturally makes me skeptical.I mentioned this onSlacDiscord, but I think there's a possible situation that we (VIHH) may have missed, that Hazou himself does not yet have all of the details to be able to know about yet.

I suspect Hazou was /much/ too distracted at the time to notice how efficiently she put her pants on.Don't tell Ami what Ami can't do.
The Ami list:
- If she had more legs you would notice that she puts her pants on with O(log n) efficiency.
Hey I suggested it before!!!I at least would love to run Ninja Polotics Civ Quest, but I don't know that MfD would work well for it
Use a gosh danged storage seal ya dork they can't read inside one of those.Fair enough, but it'll take days research them. And the Hyuuga would still notice; it'd be even worse than encryption, it'd be something we're concealing specifically from them.

I. e., she would have arranged for certain Leaf ninja that are already in Mist to be able to stay in Mist for a time and then safely exit it, and for certain Mist ninja to be able to cross the Fire border. You, on the other hand, seem to be suggesting that she arranged to be able to grant any Leaf ninja the ability to enter Mist, which seems... distinctly implausible.-which means that she would have prearranged the approvals necessary for both Leaf-nin in Mist for an entire month and Mist-nin in Leaf in relation to the mission to allow her to take either option as necessary.
... Okay, fine, that'd work. We're not sending anything this update though, so the argument is moot.Use a gosh danged storage seal ya dork they can't read inside one of those.
Definitely not disagreeing that it's a highly optimistic hot take. That having been said... do you actually think it's more likely that Hazou, social genius that he is, was the one person who was able to discover the
Definitely not disagreeing that it's a highly optimistic hot take. That having been said... do you actually think it's more likely that Hazou, social genius that he is, was the one person who was able to discover thetrue meaning of Chriway to get Mari to become a functional adult, or that Akane, spending nearly a week (and realistically, with little else necessary for her to do) helped get her back on her feet?
Regardless, I'm not actually sure I'd give my own prediction higher than maybe a 30% chance of being right, but I wanted to post it here so I can quote it in 4 updates when we find out I was right accidentally anyways.
I don't think Akane fixed her. I think the news of Jiraiya's death gave her enough of an emotional shock to break her out of her cycle and make her realise she actually had genuine feelings. Then she had plenty of time for self-reflection and confused mental flailing to stop her from drowning in self-hatred. Hazou just needed to give her a push to stop her from drowning in indecision.
I agree that if Akane was helping her then it's likely that she played a significant role in Mari's recovery/"recovery"... but we don't actually know whether Akane was given an opportunity to help her. Tsunade didn't kill or mutilate her, but that doesn't necessarily mean she allowed her to meddle.Definitely not disagreeing that it's a highly optimistic hot take. I dunno about canon, but in MfD the existence of sapient chakra beasts has been confirmed....say, are there any examples in canon of an intelligent chakra beast, other than the tailed beasts? Something that can talk?
I don't think there are any chakra beasts in canon at all, intelligent or otherwise....say, are there any examples in canon of an intelligent chakra beast, other than the tailed beasts? Something that can talk?
Zabuza, not Ryuugamine:We know that some chakra beasts hunt in packs and can understand the tactics you are shouting to your friends, thus formulating their own counter-tactics and killing you all. This means that they can understand human speech!
I think it was during Mori Ryugamine's chapter
He remembered one of his early missions, back when he was still an incompetent chūnin, watching his team get taken apart by a rendclaw pack after discussing their plan in front of the enemy. Another reason why real shinobi made themselves strong enough to work alone.
How does it work between Leaf and Sand?No one knows whether the inter-village alliance will change this, and how.
Ami isn't though. She is not a clan head and she lives in the only village that currently has a Kage.Huh interesting how we are in a time without a Kage and as a clan head we are the highest authority in the village
That's the brilliance of it. Ami is definitely causing Ren headaches right now. So we are doing Ren a favor by getting Ami out of the village. So we end up with Ami, Kei, shikamaru and Ren all owe us favorsAmi isn't though. She is not a clan head and she lives in the only village that currently has a Kage.
That would presuppose Ren knowing. Are you proposing we also send a message to our aunt requesting permission for Ami to attend Keiko's wedding? That's the brilliance of it.
